I had similar symptoms...Actually the majority of the same symptoms

I have kidney disease.....

There's so many different types....

BalaRua · 07/02/2017 07:33

Sorry to hear that winter, all macroscopic tests so far have been negative so I presume a kidney biopsy is next, is that how you were diagnosed winter?

WinterCookies10 · 07/02/2017 21:38

Yes, a kidney biopsy....

They still haven't sorted out the correct medication for me and I still have wee like this every day, and have done since November....

I really do wish your husband well x

How is your husband?

BalaRua · 27/05/2017 20:14

Hi all, this week DH was diagnosed with a kidney disease called IgA nephropathy. It causes inflammation and scarring in the kidney as well as haematuria. The episodes come on after an upper respiratory tract infection which makes sense because it came after a cold initially. It can lead to kidney failure but it's something that can be managed. He has coeliac too which is to do with IgA so it's all linked together! Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Thought it was only right to update. He's going to continue to be monitored and eventually medicated if his renal function reduces. Flowers

Hi BalaRua

Pleased to read that your husband finally got a diagnosis. Sounds quite serious but at least you know now.

Wishing you both all the best. Take care Flowers

GiraffesCantPlayHopScotch · 28/05/2017 01:34

Glad you finally have a diagnosis

tobee · 28/05/2017 11:12

Thanks for the update. I've been wondering if it's been resolved. Dh has had chronic kidney illness (different cause) for over 5 years now and is doing well at the moment. There are lots of treatment options that aren't generally know about.
