Oh quite agree, a friend of mine lived with one at uni. Strictly eye candy Grin.

moondog · 21/04/2006 21:24

Yup

Passionflower · 21/04/2006 21:25

Have to say I'm sad that the addition of 'report this post' has become necessary.

moondog · 21/04/2006 21:27

Eh??
Am I guilty of crimes against macho Turks,or do you have the wrong thread??
Grin

Passionflower · 21/04/2006 21:31

Nope, just thought this would be a safe place to mention it. Not accusing you of interfering with the macho turks, just an observation about the site generally. Sorry for wandering off topic.

moondog · 21/04/2006 21:33

Oh righto!
Yes,me too
It'sreally creepy and sneaky isn't it???

Passionflower · 21/04/2006 21:40

It's a bit 'in your face' and 'big brother' I think but I suppose it makes life easier for the techie bods when there is a problem.

Cam · 22/04/2006 16:09

psml at your Turk antics in the gym Moondog!

Passion, don't worry about going back, it will only take a couple of sessions before your body "remembers" and it will all seem like you have never been away Smile

I went to the gym this morning and after my workout bumped into an old friend who asked if I was going to Body Pump with her....I said of course (even though I hadn't intended to)....competitive moi?

Passionflower · 22/04/2006 20:49

Will be letting you know just how mangled I'm feeling after first session back on Tuesday Smile

moondog · 22/04/2006 20:54

Atta girl
I went today.
About 40 kids were in same room supposedly having Tae Kwondo class but in reality running riot andclimbing over machines.
Walked home (3km??) and then went for a walk with dh and children so feeling good.

Have started doind sit ups.The agony!
My stomach muscles are sooo sore. A Ceasarian must be a million times worse.
Dh laughed in patronising fashion and told me hedoes 100 every time.

Passionflower · 22/04/2006 21:03

I find doing sit-ups on the swiss ball works wonders and doesn't hurt so badly after the first couple of times.

How many did ya do? I usually go for 90. 30 staight, 30 right elbow to left knee and same vice versa.

moondog · 23/04/2006 10:31

Blimey!
Amashamed to say was half dead after 20! Blush
I'm fairly fit bt have obviously been neglecting this area.
I'll try it with the Swiss ball as you suggest. My mother bought me a good exercise manual to go with the ball I had already bought (on the physio's recommnendation-I've had a bad arm ever since having children.)

Have you a stomach like a washboard Passionflower?? Smile

I think the enrgy dh and I used to put into long boozy dinners is now being spent gyming.
Can't deny that we look and feel better for it.

moondog · 23/04/2006 10:31

How do you keep the ball stable under yuo PF when doing sit ups? By wedging your heels against it??
Can't visualise it.

MABS · 23/04/2006 16:26

did pump yesterday after 3 weeks on hol, oooouuuuchhh!!

Passionflower · 23/04/2006 21:50

stomach is washboard like but covered by six weeks of fat plus easter chocs Blush

Sit on edge of ball facing a wall (knees well apart for extra stability) and put toes against the to stop your feet slipping. Hope that makes sense. Smile

Cam · 24/04/2006 13:02

Or you can keep your feet planted hip distance apart on the ground and do crunches bending forward.

Prefer to lie in the ground or a step bench myself, always think I'm going to fall off the swiss ball.

moondog · 24/04/2006 15:19

Stomach muscles a bit better today thank God!

Went to the gym this morning-place was full of plump and sweaty Turkish ladies doing yoga. it must have been Hatha(?) as they had the bloody heating on!!
Then they all disappeared into the changing room and emerged 30 mins. later, headscarved and swathed in floor length coats.
Still can't get my head around that one.

Seem to be gradually acclimatising to the altitude. For the first time, the running was pleasurable, not pure pain.
Rock Lobster B52s proved very inspiring to pound away to!

MABS · 30/04/2006 16:03
