Will do my utmost to go at least a couple of time next week but am going to be slave to half term and potty training.

MABS · 20/02/2006 08:18

Cam - I have a long way to go to get to Lara Croft status!! Tho I am toning up quite nicely. Today i feel knackered so have just canx LBT - slippery slope eh?!

Cam · 20/02/2006 21:02

I did a gym and swim tonight after work, can't go again till Thursday now.

LadyTophamHatt · 21/02/2006 20:08

Utterly exhausted after the gym today....so much so that I feel asleep on the sofa this afternoon when Ds3 was snoozing.

It was a brilliant gym session though.

MABS · 22/02/2006 21:06

Just did the hardest pump class ever, am close to collapse!

MrsSpoon · 22/02/2006 21:14

Blimey MABS you are a total gym bunny!

I got my gym membership signed on Monday by the instructor so am now officially a proper member!!! Yeah!

Been to BodyPump Challenge tonight which is BodyPump with aerobic circuits in between (ie BP warm-up, squat track, running round the hall, skipping, then back to a couple of BodyPump tracks and so on).

LadyTophamHatt · 23/02/2006 18:31

Chuffed with myslef today.
Ran 2 miles on the treadmill in just under 20 mins.
I walked the first 4 minutes on the steepest incline so it would have been faster.

It took me weeks and weeks to get to this stage before so I'm really chuffed

MrsSpoon · 24/02/2006 15:58

Well done LTH, I haven't dared to run on the treadmill, terrified I fall off!

Aerobics today, my Friday morning fix.

MABS · 24/02/2006 18:55

Well done to you both. Mrs Spoon - Body pump AND circuits...are you mad??!! Lth - look forward to meeting you on 11th.

MrsSpoon · 24/02/2006 20:18

It's a fab class MABS, initially started going there when I couldn't manage regular BodyPump but have started to prefer it.

Passionflower · 03/03/2006 13:41

Half term and DH's insane working hours did for my good intentions last week, but..

Went to the gym on Monday and was very pleased and surprised to be able to still manage 20mins running. Thought I'd be back to 6mins after a week off.

Today managed 26 mins plus weights and 15 mins on the X-trainer so am back on the way to my immediate goal of 30 mins Smile

MABS · 09/03/2006 20:24

havent been for 5 days -aaaarrrrggghhh!!

LadyTophamHatt · 09/03/2006 20:25

haven't been in about 2 weeks!!!

LadyTophamHatt · 09/03/2006 20:26

actually since the last time I posted on here....

MABS · 09/03/2006 20:45

you beat me Lady T!!! (sure you can't pop in for a drink on Sat ?)

puff · 03/04/2006 21:04

I've been using a heart monitor in the gym and at classes, just to check I was working in my target zone - very interesting - am working near the top of my rate in the heavy duty aerobic classes, but needed to up my game in the gym - has helped me to push myself a bit harder.

Cam · 20/04/2006 16:38

Have resurrected this thread today in honour of attending Body Pump class for first time in months Grin

Ok I only used light weights but I felt it working, then went for a swim.

dd back at school, have gone onto my part-time working pattern, try keeping me out of the gym nowSmile

joanna4 · 20/04/2006 17:13

Feels like the day after day 1 all over agin today! Swappeed my programme about upped some weights etc.I felt really pushed when i did it.Also i have overcome the cross trainer fear now just to get to grips with the stepper!
Also some nit put me down for 50kg leg weights which i have always done but was informed yesterday it should have been 2 lots of 25 still i have done it for months but changed yesterday to less weight more reps!

Oh I lost track of this thread!
Ihave been sticking religiously to x3 attendance.
However I am now in Turkey and have joined dh's gym.
It is great (really helpful attendants) but so incredibly difficult to do what I do in UK at 1700 metres above sea level.Feels Like I am running through syrup.

Cam · 20/04/2006 17:49

You must be fit Moondog

Your lungs must be good Grin

Cam · 21/04/2006 17:22

Went to the gym this morning, cross-trained and treadmilled and swam.

Starting to feel my thighs and calves getting worked out, had to do lots of stretching today.

Passionflower · 21/04/2006 18:47

Haven't been able to go to the gym for about 6 weeks Sad.

Not lazyness though, I had a virus that turned into a sinus inection that wouldn't go away.

So am now needing you all to give me a verbal kick up the bum about going next week cos I'm dreading it. I know it will be like starting from scratch again. Sad.

moondog · 21/04/2006 20:39

That's the trouble isn't it if you stop going?
I was mortified yesterday at the (Turkish) gym.Asked the attendant what there was for legs and he strapped me into something that looked as if I was about to be prepared for a ventouse birth.
Was opening and closing legs in prime position in a huge room full of about 10 macho Turks and me.
Argghhhh!

Worse was to come.
He then had me grabbing some straps and pulling down so my head was on my knees (for stomach so he claimed)
As he was standing directly in front of me and was pushing my head down on occasion it looked as if I was giving him a blow job!!!
Double aargh!!!

I have to say, that despite my inbuilt pervert detector,I honestly believe it was all inncoent.

Dh could hardly speak for laughing when I told him.

Passionflower · 21/04/2006 21:12

Gosh! I'm not sure whether I envy you your strapping turks or not MD. Nice to watch while doing boring workout stuff but knowing me I'd distract myself to the point of doing something daft like falling off the x-trainer Grin.

moondog · 21/04/2006 21:15

They are very handsome it has to be said...Grin
Could never be with one though (dh aside!)
Sexist monsters.
