Home alone should have only done 1 movie

Pitch Perfect (the original one) is a great film. Another one where they should've done the sequels.

Brilliant film! Absolute classic. But as someone upthread said, many films which win Oscars are not that great; a lot of them are pretentious twaddle.

Titanic would have been a much better film if they had left out the Jack and Rose storyline/bollox and told the real story about the actual people who were there. It's pretty epic (but sad) and didn't need fluffing up.

Anything gets very dull when Emily blunt is in it.

the notebook is not romantic. his initial stalking of her was creepy, they are totally unsuited to each other and the ending was just pathetic
and not a movie but Bridgerton should be banned. poor writing/dialogue. the race related progressiveness is great but the fact that no one is even trying to be authentic to the era (except when it suits the storyline) really triggers me - for similar reasons also hate the new persuasion, pride and prejudice with keira Knightley and death in Pemberley.

where would I get my gangster inspired swagger from without those movies?

Mine is that the marvel film are dire. The guardians one are ok but the rest are bloody awful. I also don't get the avatar love either

@Moveoverdarlin - I do agree with you - In the film I always thought she looked 2x the size of him where as he looked a bit skinny - so plot point she should have been able to have hoiked him out of the water when she was on the floating crate thing & he let go. But apparently he is nearly 6ft and she is 5f 6 ( googling only ) . I always thought they were miscast but hey - Oscars etc disagree so who am I to say otherwise. 😊

Unpopular opinions at the moment: The Amy Winehouse film is very good. It is entertaining and Marisa Abela is really good - the criticism is very unfounded when you watch the whole film. For someone who isn’t a singer, she does a really good job.
The beekeeper- utter claptrap, Statham lurches from one accent to another and the plot requires no effort whatsoever to follow. Bloody loved it.

Unpopular general opinions:
Marvel - no thank you. I couldn’t give the shiniest of shits about your universe. Ditto Lord of the rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek or any of the DC franchises.

Richard Curtis films are like a lovely comfort blanket. Ditto Devil wears prada, dirty dancing and all of the Die Hards and Rocky’s (even the shite ones)

@Macramepotholder I kind f agree...Wes Anderson's films all look the same and have the same style. The actors deliver lines in the same way. It's got boring.

The only one I give a pass to is The Fantastic Mr Fox which is a family favourite.

As for my own opinion: The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit films were too long and utterly crap.

Lindsay Logan should never be allowed to make another film. In fact, she should be paid not to.

The Blair Witch Project was an hour and a half of snot and an anorak.
