Hi Essbee. Grrr at CAMHS. Whatever the source of the problem, the guy you saw sounds rather better at drawing pretty diagrams than coming up with any practical solutions to help the pair of you. Glad that DS's school is on board. You may want to post something on the SN board to do with concentration/ADHD - I have a feeling that people have posted on there that it's a misnomer that kids with ADHD can absolutely never concentrate but I know very little about this sort of thing, so take me with same pinch of salt you would some old bat at a bus stop.

What a complete arse he sounds. That's good about the teacher agreeing with your assessment though.

In the past I have had a very poor experience with Camhs.. and will get around to complaining.

Tbqh I reckon some of these 'experts' have a lot of their own issues, and are actually crap.

It sounds like you had extremely shoddy treatment and I would complain to the highest authority.. how dare he say he had run out of time and see you in May!
