What would happen if I didn’t collect DS from after school club?

Just that really? Due to be collected before 6pm
I feel beyond able to cope with life at the moment. I have Adhd, asd and bipolar. No one can help so that’s that! So if I didn’t collect him what would happen to him. Would children’s services just get involved? I don’t want this for him but I feel like I don’t have much options left. He’s not hard work or anything, he’s a lovely boy which makes this even harder. I just think he’s he would better off in a different situation with someone other than me

Yes if the boxes are empty make them flat and put them outside. Do you have a recycling bin for them? Otherwise just stack them flat with a rock on top so they don't blow away.

Confusedandtired21 · 26/11/2021 22:45

I don’t like going in the back garden to take the rubbish out which is ridiculous, because of social anxiety. And my back door is facing next doors back door, they literally gave each other and theirs is always open because they’re different than me, it’s literally alway open. And we don’t have a full size fence just a short one. It sounds ridiculous I know. But… I can only take rubbish out if I wake before 6 am because if not I panic in case I have to speak to them. God I’m ridiculous!
I can do it overnight though if I stay up and do it.

I can’t just go outside randomly whenever I want to. Only leave the house if absolutely necessary, and when I do I have to plan and time it so no ones there. Stupid isn’t it! Lol

Well done for texting the social worker too. I know it's scary but you have to keep reaching out for help.

Do the MH team know your ADHD meds got stopped? If they don't, make sure you tell them this.

You will get there with it all. It's a difficult situation you have going on, a lot to cope with. You need more help that's all. Very worse case scenario is you can ask for your DC to go into care. You don't need to hurt yourself to do that. Most probably what you need is a bit more help so that your family can stay together and you'll all be ok

Confusedandtired21 · 26/11/2021 22:54

No, they can’t go in care. I sent the social worker a long message, In fact I sent 3 😳 but now I’m regretting that a little! Lol. But never mind it’s done now

You need headphones. Then you don't have to talk to someone when you're outside. They'll think you can't hear them even if you haven't got music on. You can smile and ignore them and they'll think you're being polite.

Confusedandtired21 · 26/11/2021 22:56

Yes my mental health team know my Adhd meds got stopped and I spoke to the psych at the mental health team a week or so ago and he just said that unfortunately he can’t prescribe them as it’s not his jurisdiction and he’s not allowed to although he understands how frustrating it is.

You've got a school age child. You bag them up, they take them outside, then.
Confusedandtired21 · 26/11/2021 22:59

Well the psychs exact words were “I can’t really prescribe them” so part of me wonders if he can a little bit? lol

GP just said he can’t as the meds are on an amber list which means needs to be advised from a consultant and obviously I’m not now the clinic has closed.

ADHD meds are stimulants so maybe bipolar needs to be under control first before you can have them? Maybe it's just a crazy system though. But they can't leave you for a year like this without help, they'll have to do something. This thread is quite good because if you click "see all" for your posts there's quite a lot of information about your situation and how you are at the moment. That's why I said to show people if you can't tell them.

I don't think you should be in a waiting list though. I think you should have been transferred to the new clinic by the old one. Not just like oops it's closed, back you go on a wait list. I mean, you had a diagnosis and treatment that was working so they shouldn't have stopped it.
Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 00:27

I don’t want this

Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 00:29

Got an appointment with a private clinic on the 3rd to prescribe but I just don’t want it anymore. Stupid I know

OP posts:
Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 00:30

Yes that is what my mental health team said, they don’t think I should be on stimulants with bipolar. It’s just shit how the 2 diagnoses are at odds with one another treatment wise. Fuck it

OP posts:
Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 00:32

I’m not doing this anymore. I don’t think anyone would to be honest

OP posts:
overthethamesfromyou · 27/11/2021 00:35

You can talk to the private clinic about your concerns then. For now, if you feel you are in crisis, then you need to call the crisis team.

Hope you are ok

Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 00:41

I don’t think the crisis team could help cos i wouldn’t know what to say so that is out. Although I feel I need to. Otherwise yes I can talk to the private clinic

OP please call 999 if you're in danger, it's baby steps at a time, but you'll get there. The state of your house is not important (as in easily sorted) but you need to keep going for your children. They need you so much and they will in the future too. You're irreplaceable.

Keep reading and responding on here and do one small task at a time, as PPs have suggested. Even 3 mini tasks per day is great! You've got this and we've all got your back! If I may use an analogy, you can't climb up a ladder with giant, widely-spaced rungs. Mini rungs, however, will enable you to get to the top much easier and quicker.

It might help you to write down your 3 mini tasks for tomorrow before you go to sleep, then you can cross them off your list when you've done each one and feel a sense of satisfaction and achievement.

Even if it's just 'make breakfast, make lunch and order dinner (takeaway)'. That's a good day's work - and you might even (hopefully) have the energy to wash up afterwards a bit. Good luck!

You've got a fantastic support team on here routing for you!

Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 01:17

Gone for a walk. I can see the house from here I am! So kids are safe. I have a park and football pitch at the end of my street so just gone for a walk. Get my head together

OP posts:
AmberArtichoke · 27/11/2021 01:30

Really hope that helps OP - take care out there though - it's very windy!!

Confusedandtired21 · 27/11/2021 01:31

Yes it helps

OP posts:
AmberArtichoke · 27/11/2021 01:38

When you get home, if you write down your 3 tasks for tomorrow, then they're on paper and out of your brain / head. You don't have to worry about them as you'll see them when you wake up, so you're carrying less mental load and you'll be able to sleep easier. It might (hopefully) help tonight!
