But at the same time I was going to name change but I don't want to because I want to be able to find this again if I need to in the future and because (on the back of the PND thread even though this isn't PND) I have nothing to be ashamed of.

If any of you recognise me in my previous names please don't out me on this thread.

I am going to ring the doctor and get an emergency appointment and see if they can give me antidepressants or something to help I am crying I can't stop I'm stressed I'm not sleeping and my DP told me last night I am over thinking everything and tying myself in knots and could I please go and do something

So I came home in a strop with him and in tears but he's right.

My ex is a head wreck and very difficult to deal with.

I'm a single parent.

I work part time and go to uni full time.

I am having gynae issues and bleeding out every month for 2 or 3 days to the point where I last an hour before I'm soaked through.

I'm so tired just so so tired and I can't sleep

I have a bad shoulder and it hurts all the time it's the hand/arm I use the most and I have to do tons of typing and sitting at the computer for uni and driving and it hurts and I am swallowing ibuprofen every day and they aren't helping

So I am going to ring the doctor this morning and get an emergency appointment and tell them how bad I feel.

I'm scared. Stupid stupid stupid scared.

Say no more about the DD. Mine is almost twelve and hard work, but wanker of XH is far away and doesn't bother us.

I have a blood-clotting disorder and used to bleed almost constantly. That IS draining. Literally...
The mini-pill Cerazette worked for me. Just a bit every month and no hormonal ups and downs. It's like being a man. not everyone gets on with it though.

hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 09:38

I've had the mirena and cerazette and neither worked for me unfortunately.

I'm not going to put any make up on because I think she should see how totally and utterly shit I look or is that being over-dramatic ok the truth is I can't be arsed to go and put any on

OP posts:
only4tonight · 29/03/2012 09:42

Chances are make up would end streaked down tour face anyway so I wouldn't worry about it.

shinecrazydiamond · 29/03/2012 09:43

put lip gloss on only Smile

i hope you feel brighter soon.

hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 09:45

True - 'd end up with Mascara all down my face Smile

I have Vaseline on my lips does that count Shine ? And I am the height of high fashion in joggers and a top and I can't be arsed to get changed and anyway they're clean

Talk to the doctor about the gynae thing too - that really grinds you down - I know how you feel. I was put on some tablets that lessened the bleeding - can't remember the name but it might help?

aleene · 29/03/2012 09:50

You are coping with a lot and I am sure the doctor will help.
Can you write things down in a list so you don't forget anything or in case you are crying too much to talk

hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 09:50

If it's transemic acid tablets Mercedes I've tried those already. I'm at the stage of begging them just to do something. Anything.

I'm worn out with it - grinding down is a very good phrase for it actually.

List is a most excellent plan.

Tell the doc about your periods, you are probably anaemic and that can make you depressed as well as all the other stuff going on in your life. You need to get a blood test to see what your haemoglobin level is, and also your ferritin level, which is your iron stores. Being anaemic makes you feel crap and low and that's without the other stuff.

Hope you're OK and the doc is nice to you!

doctordwt · 29/03/2012 09:58

How very sensible you sound! Well done on being smart enough to see that you're ILL, properly not well! Docs, then student services at the uni and get advice on how to nit let this affect your work and results. Best thing to do - go to your tutor too and give them the heads up that you are not great. They'll be pleased and impressed to see that you're trying to Beadforf problems with submission etc. before they start.

Well done. Good luck at the docs (crying good - says a thousand words!)

By the way when I was anaemic after my DD's birth I took Floradix - liquid iron and herbal supplement - very good. Easier on the tum than Spatone.

hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 10:00

Would I get the Foradix in the health food shop doctor?

OP posts:
hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 10:01

Floradix can't spell today sorry

I actually feel sick at the thought of opening my mouth and the words coming out what a fucking wuss

OP posts:
ThatGhastlyWoman · 29/03/2012 10:03

yy to Floradix- and def get the liquid form. Even better if you can blend it up with some fruit and yoghurt, even spinach- but obviously that might feel like a bit like an effort just now.

hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 10:06

Right am leaving now.

Wish me luck.

Headaches could well be linked to anaemia! - and certainly to your mood. Ask for blood tests for anaemia and for them to check thyroid function too. Sounds like there's likely to be a medical issue here as well as possible depression - and it's more than likely something to do with your very heavy blood loss. If so, hopefully you can sort this out quickly and effectively. Good that you're taking the depression aspect seriously too and getting help - quick action is very sensible.

ThatGhastlyWoman · 29/03/2012 10:06

Write it down, if you can. No need to write an essay, no need to be all loquacious either, docs are trained and experienced in knowing what's up (or should be). If you can't open your mouth, hand over the bit of paper.

doctordwt · 29/03/2012 10:07

I got Floradix from bigger branches of boots - also online from Holland and Barrett x

Mercedes519 · 29/03/2012 10:07

Hathor that's it. I took those when they didn't have a clue why I had a period for three months solid. They managed to dry it up but then it would start again. It took 9 months for them to diagnose endometrial hyperplasia which is caused by a hormone imbalance - too much oestragen (sp?) causes you to always be in the 'thickening' phase of your period.

Solution - get referred to a gynae consultant and describe all your symptoms. It's very rare in anyone but post-menopausal woman, hence the long diagnosis.

hathorinareddress · 29/03/2012 10:20

Sitting in the carpark in tears already.

Fuck a bloody duck
