Epic 3 day 26 back and biceps today. Made the mistake of not working out first thing in the morning and the whole workout took me about two hours because of all the breaks and interruptions.Angry

I keep forgetting to post. I did KAbs L2D15 (30 min) last Thursday and BFBM (50 min) this evening.

Epic 3 day 27 squat workout. Actually this wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! Perhaps because it was no repeat.

Girvan full body dumbbell workout

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 19/10/2021 18:43

I'm doing very little actual exercise at the moment. Things at home/work are hectic and with 1.5 hours of dog walking I don't have time to make myself do anything else. I really hope that after 8th November when work stuff calms down I'll get back to a bit of routine.

SophieLion · 20/10/2021 07:02

Yes sometimes it's very hard to fit in exercise MotherForkin. Dogs are quite time consuming - we are thinking about getting one but I know I would be the one to do all the walls etc so I'm really thinking how it would work for me. I also want to go back to studying... I hope things get easier for you time-wise.

Epic 3 day 28 today - chest, triceps and abs.

roonetta · 20/10/2021 12:31

I think the long walks are exercise enough Motherforkin. You have replaced one exercise for another, so I would definitely count it. Any news on your shoulder?

I know what you mean about being the one to do all the walking Sophie. DH desperately wants a dog, but I know the care of it would fall to me and I just don't have enough time for it. What studies would you be doing?

20 minute Girvan dumbbell leg workout.

Days exercised 183. I've worked out that I will need to exercise for 57 days to reach my goal of 240 and there are only 73 days left until the end of the year. So, yep, that's probably not happening Grin

I know exactly what you mean about fitting in exercise @MotherForkinShirtBalls. My time just seems to evaporate these days.

Finally found some time and motivation this evening. KAbs L3D15 (30 min)

Sunday's race went well, sub 1hr 10k. My usual time which isn't bad for a long gap of serious racing and concentrating on longer distances.
Mon was my circuits class. I took that gently as recovery exercise.
Tues was the osteopath. That went well, my body was unusually functional... we're wondering if it's the cold water swimming. I follow up with a gentle walk in a nearby park.
Wed, open water swim, about 0.8mi again. Still doing 45-50 mins in the water at 14⁰C
Thurs, cycled to my fitness class and back.

Long run day tomorrow. Not sure on distance/ route... I'd left it vague with race recovery.

I can't parkrun this weekend, but am volunteering.

SophieLion · 22/10/2021 10:26

Well done on your race Bogroll!!

Rest day yesterday - meetings all morning and no time to exercise. Today epic 3 day 29 full body trisets. Day 30 is cardio complexes and first complex has 20 burpees than another move. Not sure I fancy that. Think will run instead.

Will have whole of next week off too as will be in UK.

Days exercised 220

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/10/2021 12:58

That's a great time, Bogroll, well done.

Shoulder isn't good Roonetta Sad I jarred it again when I fell over my feet at the weekend and the pain was just horrendous. I've managed to get an appointment with a specialist to review it for surgery... in March. And that's going private. So realistically it'll be another 12 months before I have had the surgery and rehab and I might be able to swim and lift weights again.

But I had a proper 30 run this morning which felt good although very cold! And the an even colder dip, which felt even better Smile

sar302 · 22/10/2021 17:53

1 hour of reformer Pilates today. My legs were like jelly afterwards! Not sure what the plan is exercise-wise for the weekend.

What is everyone up to?

OublietteBravo · 22/10/2021 20:18

Well done @BogRollBOGOF Star

I hope you have a good trip to the U.K. @SophieLion bring thermals, it’s gone really cold

I’m impressed you went for a dip @MotherForkinShirtBalls Shock

I’m not sure how much exercise I’ll manage this weekend @sar302. We have to drop DS at PGL tomorrow, so it might depend on traffic.

Just a short session this evening: Ri30 L3D16 (30 min)

Thank you oubliette.

So sorry to hear about your shoulder MotherForkin. Can't believe you have to wait until March.... Sad

Did epic 3 day 30 today. Cardio. Am so proud of myself as it was tough and I HATE burpees. on the plus side, the workout went really quickly as was so busy counting my reps.

I'm done with exercise now until next weekend as we're flying tomorrow.

roonetta · 24/10/2021 15:52

What a brilliant variety of exercise you do Bogroll. A great way of not getting bored! Well done on the race Star.

Well done Sophie! I am in awe, I know how tough her cardio workouts are Star. Have a good flight.

So sorry to hear about your shoulder Motherforkin Sad. You have been doing great avoiding using it and still getting plenty of exercise in, so hopefully it won’t hold you back too much until it is resolved.

Girvan 30 minute full body workout done ✅

Sorry sar I meant to ask what reformer Pilates is? Is sounds painful Grin

sar302 · 25/10/2021 07:37

@roonetta it's no more painful than normal Pilates - but does look like it's done on a torture device Grin

I really enjoy it! It takes a while to get used to all the different positions and straps and things you can do, but once you "get" it, you're away!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 25/10/2021 17:36

I'm feeling a bit rubbish at the moment, exhausted and very run down so I'm taking things easy. Hopefully back to a bit more energy in a few days.

OublietteBravo · 25/10/2021 20:47

I’m similar @MotherForkinShirtBalls. I just seem to be permanently tired at the moment. I think 19m+ of pandemic survival has sapped all my reserves.

OP posts:
roonetta · 26/10/2021 12:57

Sorry to hear you are feeling rubbish Motherforkin and Oubliette. I agree that pandemic fatigue is catching up with us Flowers.

Wow sar that looks brutal! On the other hand it also looks like a stretching rack which would be bliss at the moment Grin

Tried a Girvan kettlebell workout today (using dumbbell). Enjoyed it for a change.
