12m is impressive Bogroll. I've never managed more than 10km. I agree with you about exercise for as we age. The amazing trainer I went to pre covid talked about training now to be able to walk tall and carry a couple of bags of shopping when I'm 80.

Hope you're on the mend sar.

Here's Ted, Sophie Smile he was underwhelmed by my attempt at running again today

I’ve (finally) been taking some annual leave this week. Which is why I’ve largely been awol. I promise I haven’t totally given up!

Glad you are feeling better sar

Ahh Ted is gorgeous Motherforkin. I always think greyhounds look very gentle.

12 miles Bogroll! Awesome Star

Haven’t exercised since Wednesday, but did walk to and from work on Friday and did 18,000 steps yesterday on a walk with my sister so don’t feel too bad about it. Randomly did Epic 3 day 24 today as that popped up on YouTube when I was deciding what to do. Full body dumbbell workout. Felt good 😊

Days exercised 178

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 10/10/2021 14:29

He's a very gentle giant, Roonetta Smile

I've had a weekend of studying so dh took over most of the dog walking and I feel very lazy! I did get for a sea dip this morning and it was gorgeous.

SophieLion · 11/10/2021 07:03

Aw Ted is gorgeous MotherForkin!

Took the whole weekend off. Today epic 3 day 21. Lower body pyramid sets. This was much harder than I thought it would be!

Days exercised 211

SophieLion · 12/10/2021 07:46

Epic 3 day 22 (upper body complexes) plus a girvan abs workout.

Days exercised 212

roonetta · 12/10/2021 10:33

I did day 22 today as well Sophie Grin

Active rest day yesterday as walked to and from work.

Days exercised 179

SophieLion · 12/10/2021 14:51

How did you find it Roonetta? My arms felt all wobbly in the shower afterwards!! I definitely think epic 3 is a lot harder than epic heat and epic 1

OublietteBravo · 12/10/2021 19:50

Oops. My post from yesterday seems to have vanished. After taking last week off I did KAbs L1D15 (30 min) yesterday. And Ri30 L2D14 (30 min) today.

(176/74); 168h 10min).

Epic 3 day 23 glutes and hamstrings. This was a long one and felt long too!!

Days exercised 213

languagelover96 · 13/10/2021 09:48

I went for a long nature walk on Monday. Yesterday I attended a weekly exercise class at a local college. That was also fun. Today I may either do ten minutes of light seated exercise or nothing, we will see.

roonetta · 13/10/2021 12:14

I didn't find it too bad while doing it Sophie, but my arms were very stiff this morning. I must admit that I did the tricep press ups on my knees and missed out the dive bombers completely Blush

Welcome languagelover96 Smile

Epic Heat day 29 full body circuits done. Sweaty one.

Days exercised 180

OublietteBravo · 13/10/2021 19:42

Trying not to lose motivation. So far, so good this week. Ri30 L3D15 (30 min)

Work is bananas at the moment so I'm struggling to do much. Dog is keeping me walking though!

sar302 · 14/10/2021 07:16

First proper exercise for me post cold / flu / plague / whatever it was that wasn't covid.

Decided on a nice gentle 30min swim. Breaststroke all the way. Pool was the perfect temp. Very enjoyable!

SophieLion · 14/10/2021 16:14

I'm glad you enjoyed your exercise sar!

Hello and welcome languagelover Smile

5km fartlek run for my today. Got a stitch as soon as I started running - no idea why. So the whole run was very unpleasant.

Days exercised 214

roonetta · 14/10/2021 17:00

Glad the motivation is returning Oubliette!

A swim sounds lovely sar. I haven’t been swimming since before the first lockdown. Glad you are feeling better.

I’m sure you are getting plenty of exercise with Ted Motherforkin Grin

Sorry you didn’t enjoy your run Sophie but at least you powered on through the stitch Star

Epic Heat day 22 upper body supersets done and a 2 mile WWL

Days exercised 181

SophieLion · 15/10/2021 07:51

Epic 3 day 24 full body complexes. That was tough (actually it seems every epic 3 workout is tough 😂). At least I didn't have a stitch today! 😁

Days exercised 215

BogRollBOGOF · 15/10/2021 09:45

A gentler week for me.
My usual classes and about 0.8 miles of outdoor swimming, but ran 5 miles as I have a race on Sunday. I put the C25k+ Stepping Stone track on x2 to help me run at a consistent pace.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 15/10/2021 11:50

I got out this morning for a short hill run. All my flat dog walking does not translate Confused. And I have a wonderful sea dip. I'm definitely keeping it up over winter again.

Happy weekend everyone

SophieLion · 16/10/2021 06:55

Good luck for your race Bogroll 🍀

Happy you enjoyed your sea swim MotherForkin! Does Ted like swimming? I know some dogs love the water.

sar302 · 16/10/2021 13:47

Sea swimming always sounds incredibly therapeutic! And brave in the winter 🥶

I snuck in a 30min HIIT session on the bike at the gym today while DH took DS for his swimming lesson and then disappeared off to the spa area.

Entertainment of choice for cycling today was the first ever episode of Jonathan creek! Didn't have long enough to cycle to the end however and cannot remember how it finishes...

SophieLion · 17/10/2021 09:04

It's quite enjoyable watching TV when running/cycling, isn't it Sar? I'm watching Breakfast at Tiffany's at the moment when I run.

Rest day yesterday. Today epic 3 say 25 HIIT. Another hard one....

Days exercised 216

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 17/10/2021 12:01

5km Run/walk this morning. I didn't set my watch properly to track it, and it says I only did 3km worth of steps which is odd as it has tracked the same route as a 5k run before (and I double checked it on a mapping app!) Confused

I'm bored of all my usual podcasts so I'm looking for audio books at the moment..I'd love to be able to watch classic movies and not run into lamp posts Grin

sar302 · 17/10/2021 19:54

@SophieLion I really enjoy it! Although this episode contained a number of tasteful (?) nudes in a portrait gallery, which might have raised some eyebrows had anyone walked behind me Grin
