Number 14 now full up. I don’t think a new one has been started yet?
November total 191.1. (I think)

Just an FYI we add all our running together as a total so have added in @Strandliv and @MuddledMiddlebrow**

Oh I see. I hadn’t twigged. I thought you were all doing some massive runs. So when I run tomorrow I add my miles to the last recorded maximum mile number?

IRun4Me · 08/01/2020 10:21

Welcome Muddled
Good luck to all those studying. I remember those days doing my Masters - lots of coffee and a dining table full of research papers.
Still on track with RED January so a couple of runs to add. The legs are slightly achy at the moment but I feel like I’m getting in to the swing of it (fingers crossed).

Sorry meant to add, yes strandliv just add your miles to the last total. Doesn’t matter if it’s 1 or 10 it all counts and we can all feel proud of our combined amazing achievement Smile

Hi All. A very short run for me today, but every little helps.

Intervals tonight, surprisingly warm outside. RED day 8 done and think my legs are getting used to it. Glad all going ok for you too @IRun4Me

Well done @Strandliv

Steady run this morning. Into first week of half marathon training, starting a few weeks early. Cold grey morning but good temp for running.

Soggy run this evening, but RED day 9 done ✅

WaitingforToto · 09/01/2020 21:45

Well done to all the RED runners putting in the miles 😀 6.2 miles for me tonight with the club, I went with a quicker group than normal and really enjoyed the tougher pace. But my watch ran out of battery half way round so in my head it doesn't even count and I might as well have stayed at home. Such warped logic, I'm a slave to my run stats!

TriSkiRun99 · 10/01/2020 13:40

toto if you track on Strava you can just manually add in your “lost” miles doesn’t need a watch upload.

Had dark run Thursday morning had to really make myself do it. Have also Just tried out my new shiny trail shoes which are now suitably muddy Grin it was quick lunchtime run along a path we walked over Xmas as my DH was showing me where he runs. The rain of last week had really made it muddy but I really enjoyed it especially as the sun was shinning yah! After a week of grey gloom it lifted my soul.

Still on track with RED January though it’s harder fitting in a run everyday now back to the reality of work, school, clubs etc. Even briefly saw the sun whilst running yesterday and an amazing full moon tonight.

@WaitingforToto if you ran with another runner on strava they can add you to their run so you don’t “lose” any miles. I know what you mean about ruining you stats!

@TriSkiRun99 glad you enjoyed a muddy run. What trail shoes have you got?

Managed to get out at lunchtime and had a lovely run where I just zoned out and before I knew it 5 miles had passed. Day 10 done

Thanks everyone for the Strava advice, I don't use Strava so not sure how it works but I'm sure I can find out. Morning run for me today - I found it really rough and kept having to stop and walk. No idea why, I just had zero energy. Never mind, a mile is a mile how ever long it takes!

IRun4Me · 11/01/2020 13:27

A friend introduced me to strava last year and now I love it.
Slow run this morning combination of low energy lots of mud and at times felt like I was running in a wind tunnel

@IRun4Me I know what you mean about ‘wind tunnel’ that sums up my morning run headwind.

143.7

emummy · 12/01/2020 10:29

It was very windy yesterday! I was RD at parkrun and was not at all confident that my cones & signs would stay in place!
Beautiful morning for a run today though, went out just after sunrise and ran one of my favourite loops along country roads.

Strandliv · 12/01/2020 14:58

It’s really cold here today, could feel it a little in my chest. Enjoyed it though.

Runningonempty84 · 12/01/2020 15:55

It's FREEZING isn't it?! Could hardly use my hands to turn the shower on when I got back from my long run.

PaddingtonPaddington · 12/01/2020 20:10

Another windy run today. Had to take my hat off as gusts of wind kept coming and I could see it ending up in the ditch.

163.6

Strandliv · 12/01/2020 21:06

@paddingtonpaddington. I messed up the count sorry. My distance is in km. I did 4.6km. Sorry!
156.6 corrected!
Right yours corrected is now. And really sorry!
161.9

Strandliv · 12/01/2020 21:07

I knew I’d mess up km with miles at some point! Blush

TriSkiRun99 · 12/01/2020 21:13

Did a ParkRun sandwich 7m on Saturday and yep it was windy on our route too. Out with the kids on the bikes today bit of cross training and still windy! Hope to do a longer run tomorrow if weather isn’t too wet & windy as a weather warning is coming in...again.

165.3

TriSkiRun99 · 12/01/2020 21:15

Correct total comes to.. I think Smile

170.1

Strandliv · 12/01/2020 21:15

@triskirun99 just checking you saw my post and the count is back on track after my mess up?

Strandliv · 12/01/2020 21:16

Sorry guys. Feeing so silly. Right, we’re back on track!

TriSkiRun99 · 12/01/2020 21:18

paddington my trail shoes are Solomon Bondcliff2 men’s, as I needed a wide fit with a-bit of cushioning. DH has ascis trail shoes which were much “flatter” but bit more responsive slimmed sole which I hated but he loves, and he hated my shoes. So think you just need to try some.
