Number 14 now full up. I don’t think a new one has been started yet?
November total 191.1. (I think)

Fingers crossed your race goes ahead Tri. Jealous if your sea swim, sounds lovely!
Easy run in the sun this morning, much cooler.

Sounds like a lovely morning Tri

Tempo intervals tonight and enjoyed it

Can’t believe it’s September already.

Lovely run this morning. Sun shining and perfect temperature. Did feel like I had no energy but when I got back I saw my pace was slightly quicker than of late - so that could be why.

Stayed in bed longer this morning then got out for a run just now when a patient cancelled. So nice easy run in the warm sun, very pleasant indeed.

Very muggy run this evening and starting to notice it getting darker earlier too.

Sorry, took a break and without the emails I lose the link easily

Guess I’ll just add September miles.

Short tempo and a route recce for a trail race me and a fellow club person are seeing if we can put on.

Was ill over the weekend so had to keep the tempo shorter and slower than normal.

I’m thinking about aiming to do a personal autumn road marathon. Trying to work out what training period I’d need as my Scotland trips, whilst lots of fun, have taken mileage out as I recovered and prepped for them.

Amaura · 03/09/2020 23:44

@PaddingtonPaddington glad you took a long rest. I needed three weeks to feel more normal again

September was a much lower monthly mileage for me, but my missed miles would make it

357.4

Amaura · 03/09/2020 23:45

(Afraid I’m not able to join in the hormone conversation just yet - but reading with interest nonetheless)

emummy · 05/09/2020 10:17

Easy plod through the forest today; finished at the right time, just as a huge group of mountain bikers set off!

37.6

TriSkiRun99 · 05/09/2020 19:17

Morning road plod 5m was real effort as I realised adding up the mileage for the last 3months it was still less than what I ran in the whole of January Blush I’ve got 9wks to get back to HM distance. I’m not entirely sure I’ve got the motivation to do it but I will see if I can get back to 10m as a min whilst avoiding injury.

Amaura · 05/09/2020 20:01

20 miles today. Every part of it was hard work tbh. Suffering from the dropped mileage I think

62.6

PaddingtonPaddington · 06/09/2020 17:40

You’ll get there Tri nothing like a race for motivation.

Amaura well done. Are you training for something?

Lovely sunny morning run with friends chatting and not noticing the hilly miles go by.

IRun4Me · 07/09/2020 12:14

We all seem to be feeling similar at the moment. I’m hoping now the weather will be a bit cooler for running and I can get back in a proper running routine it should become easier again.
Nice run yesterday morning.

Thanks paddington, I’ve got a small Triathlon next weekend first Grin I’ve used my PT this morning between school drop and puppy crate time to get some cycling in as not done much on the bike either. But had a cracking sea swim yesterday with a lovely group along the coastline. That was a big achievement for me after 3 sea swimming lessons this summer it felt like our graduation swim Smile.

PaddingtonPaddington · 07/09/2020 20:17

Sea swimming sounds lovely Tri

IRun I definitely need to get back to a better running routine too.

Running club session started back tonight. A bit odd with social distancing and small groups but good to get another running session for motivation. Sprint session so will ache tomorrow!

How’s puppy life Tri?
Had planned a run yesterday but could hardly put one foot in front of another. Huge swings in energy levels are not helping in re-establishing the routine.
Made myself do a short one this morning which was nice once out. I decided to go down a path I’d not used for a while, guessing no one else had either. The grass started a bit long but then I was wading through knee high grass but felt I was committed so persevered. Hoping it worked a different muscle group Grin

The puppy is doing well I’m lucky on the days it’s just me & her she will go happily i her crate for 1-2hrs so I can get out to run/cycle smile]. I even did a Hitt workout with her one side of the baby gate the other day that was fun as she kept whining when I did sit ups but wasn’t fussed by burpees Grin it will be fab in a years time when she can start doing runs with us. Hope your energy levels swing back irun I’m making the most of my UP week doing loads as I know I’ll sink back again soon 😬lovely hormonal rollercoaster.

Hot 21c run last night even at 8pm, phew but steady 7.5km done.

emummy · 10/09/2020 07:46

Nice steady run this morning after a couple of better sleeps. A little cooler than your run Tri - 4 degrees! It was beautiful though.

TriSkiRun99 · 10/09/2020 08:29

I’d much prefer -4c emumny 🤣I’m SO not a hot sunny runner.

TriSkiRun99 · 12/09/2020 08:09

Just had my November half cancelled again...it was moved from Feb to May to Nov and now they just offering a credit towards next year. Hohum I don’t feel I can complain as it’s a smaller event less than 1000people small charity but they have now had two event fees £70 worth and I didn’t get to do either Sad. Hard year for them though so I’ll just right it off I guess. It’s removed my desire to ramp back up the running though! So I’ve just ordered a rowing machine Grin as I’ve always wanted one and I don’t think we will be skiing again plus with 2 kids in non-existence school ‘bubbles’ I strongly expect we will get a couple of enforced stay at home periods this winter hopefully I’ll be able to row.

IRun4Me · 13/09/2020 09:04

Shame about your half being cancelled Tri It is hard to keep the motivation up at the moment with no actual events to aim for. I’m trying to use virtual challenges as motivators but it’s not the same.
A couple of short runs to add. One with a friend which seemed really short as we were chatting so much.

Mini-Tri done today Smile it was a beautiful day for it. I did the mini as my teenager was doing the one straight after so minimal hanging around. She was only 1minute slower than me Grin same distances but the little bugger has done zero running or cycling in the last 4 months!! Oh to be a teenager again who just waltzs up and pulls it out the bag Grin she does do gymnastics so is strong. I love the fact that my 13yr old still likes to hang out with me though, told her she can lap me next year...

PaddingtonPaddington · 13/09/2020 21:24

Sorry to hear about your half being cancelled Tri but well done on your mini Tri today. Don’t forget to add your miles to the total.

Unfortunately I got bitten by something on my leg whilst running on Monday evening and had a swollen hot leg so haven’t been able to run for 6 days which has been frustrating. Managed to get out in the sun this morning though for a lovely run with friends.

emummy · 15/09/2020 07:45

Sorry your event is cancelled Tri. I had a real dip in motivation after mine was cancelled, think it’s coming back a bit.
Oh Paddington that sounds nasty! Glad it’s improving.
Very soggy run here this morning, but still mild.

I’d welcome the rain here emummy as it’s been so humid.

Sweaty intervals last night and tonight.
