Number 14 now full up. I don’t think a new one has been started yet?
November total 191.1. (I think)

Ring of Steall looks amazing - it starts on the same route as my half did, climbing out of Kinlochleven. Really beautiful - these 2 photos I took at the top of that climb; we got to take the track, I guess you have to go up the hills!

Fab seeing all the lovely photos.

No plans for the autumn yet and I‘m not entering any more races till after the 50k next month. The way I’m feeling at the moment I just need a good rest!

Intervals last night and easy run along river trails this evening.

Very jealous of you runners up in Scotland - so beautiful. Went for a run in a relatively local tourist city, it was so quiet.
I’ve got no races booked now. Had an email about a virtual one so may do that as something to aim for.

Nice relaxed run this morning, quite humid & sticky today.

I still have London left @emummy my training is half hearted at best though!

Absolute killer of a hill session last night, and very gentle recovery run today.

457.3

Amaura · 25/07/2020 10:59

I managed all of two miles on Tuesday before giving up. Quads needed a longer recovery. 10km on Thursday felt much easier.

Looks lovely @emummy yep, I assume I’ll head up after reaching the pass. I’ll be that way in May so will do a trial run then, feels weird to be planning that far out. I’ve walked all the hills that way so am fairly familiar with the terrain.

A gentle weekend planned to complete a recovery week before hitting intervals again

The Snowdonia trail marathon is still scheduled for October, but hoping I have enough base fitness to bimble around it and treat as a nice day out.

Glad there is some hope on the horizon for some of your races. Fingers crossed for you all.

12 miles tempo Thursday and 12 miles today which was hard in the wind. 12 miles of trails on the plan tomorrow which I want to run like a hole in the head! Then just one more horribly hard week and then it’s taper time...

Nearly there Paddington!
Nice easy run this morning. Mildly stressed that Garmin is still not working, not sure how many workouts the watch can store.

Amaura · 26/07/2020 11:26

Wow the end is in sight then @PaddingtonPaddington

@emummy you should be able to go into your watch and see how many are there. My watch has months worth. Had to show my husband where his were yesterday.

12 gentle trail miles today. Rain has made the mud surprisingly sticky.

IRun4Me · 26/07/2020 12:49

Couple of small ones to add. Managed a better pace today but it is still humid out there

Thanks for the encouragement, think I was having a fed up with running day yesterday. 12 mile trails this morning was actually really pleasant incorporating new footpaths and a bit of getting lost but appreciating some good scenery.

@emummy garmin not working is so annoying. I got DS to upload them manually for me using the computer and the USB to the watch.

emummy · 28/07/2020 08:32

Garmin is back, hurray! Just in time to record my intervals this morning, although it seems to think I had a total elevation of 1000 feet!

Nice run with a friend which included lots of chatting.
Keep going Paddington you can do it!

Tempo Tuesday and a steady longer mid week run yesterday

Oh wow, I've been on MN for years but have never come across you lot!
I did C25K over lockdown which rekindled my love for running - it's been dormant since the birth of DD3 nearly 8 yrs ago, a long time.
I mainly run on footpaths and through the woods as I'm pretty rural but I think it's because of this I've buggered up my calf, so on the bench for a while.
Reading about other people's runs is strangely satisfying!

What do the numbers in bold at the end of each post mean?

emummy · 30/07/2020 17:02

Welcome Littlefiendsusan! The numbers are the cumulative total of miles we’ve run as a group, not each! Each person adds their run to it when they post.
Hope your calf recovers soon

PaddingtonPaddington · 30/07/2020 21:31

Welcome @Littlefiendsusan.

Intervals Tuesday, chatty run with a friend Wednesday and 10 miles tempo this evening (was a bit warm). 190 miles in July from me which I’m pretty sure is the most I’ve ever run in a month. Much needed rest day tomorrow ahead of back to back weekend long runs.

emummy · 01/08/2020 09:14

Good luck with those long runs Paddington.
Easy run round our parkrun course this morning. 8 degrees on Thursday morning, 18 today! My body is confused!

Sorry I’ve just realised it’s a new month

Amaura · 01/08/2020 18:18

I also forgot about the month change so will add my three miles including an sprint interval session to the July total

Another toasty warm run today, lovely route on country roads and through woods.

IRun4Me · 02/08/2020 11:04

Welcome Littlefiendsusan and hopefully you will be back out running soon.
Lovely run this morning though it was getting rather warm. For once I was glad of the breeze as it cooled me down.
Can’t believe we are in August already.

20 mile trail to burn off the week’s excess.

Amaura · 02/08/2020 17:16

Plus a bonus 5km run with the family to decompress from a visit by the ILs. Went better than normal, I’m suddenly liking social distancing rules 😁 Plus meant I got my weekly mileage in after all despite a busy week
