Number 14 now full up. I don’t think a new one has been started yet?
November total 191.1. (I think)

Lost a message but suffice to say, another one hating the humidity and finding all runs super hard atm

Two 11 mile runs this weekend

Lovely photos emummy

Struggled to do my 8 miles on Saturday after 16 miles on Friday and gave in after 6 as my legs felt like lead. Nevermind back on to intervals tonight, hot and horrible and it’s only going to get warmer...

Nice run this morning but already warm. Just going to stick with short runs at the moment and pick the long ones back up when cooler and less humid. Do love this weather though.

Tempo run this morning, cloudy but quite sticky here too.
Then had a 3 hour exam! Now chilling before more uni stuff this afternoon

IRun sensible suggestion on the shorter runs in this weather.
emummy hope the exam went well.

I got up early and did an easy run just to stretch legs from last night. Was a much better temperature.

Absolutely beautiful morning here, out for an early birthday run. Now for a hopefully interesting day of online teaching; did some of it yesterday so I could have a long lunch today.

Did some hill repeats for the first time today, it was fine actually, DH had given me a good tip of where to do it and I gave it some welly in the last few. Glad to get it out of the way already though, its so hot in the sunshine already.

Well done doing hill repeats in the heat MrsJamin! I weirdly quite like hill repeats, I think I feel very impressed with myself afterwards!

MrsJamin · 25/06/2020 16:29

Yes they were easier than I thought they might be! I have decent glute and thigh muscles (from cycling and weights) so I think I'm better at sprinting and hills than in endurance at the moment.

PaddingtonPaddington · 25/06/2020 19:35

Happy birthday emummy

Well done on the hills MrsJamin

Did a tempo run yesterday evening and it was super hot. I need to get up early for a run tomorrow morning and get it out the way.

PaddingtonPaddington · 26/06/2020 13:37

Up at 5am but was still so hot. I was slower than my normal pace but it was a tick off the training plan and glad I don’t need to go tonight instead.

Thanks Paddington!
Cloudy & sticky morning here after thunderstorms at 5am. Good run, aimed for a bit more pace & got negative splits with each mile, so pleased with that.

Happy birthday emummy hope you had a good day.
Lovely, enjoyable run this morning. It was still quite humid but much cooler than the last few days. It was one of those buzz runs that reminds you how great running can be.

Those runs are great IRun!
Easy hilly run along country lanes for me this morning, still humid but a bit cooler and some nice refreshing light showers thrown in.

Always good to have one of those enjoyable runs IRun

Run in ridiculous wind yesterday but went out headwind so the run back was easier.

Low mileage week for me (preparing for race today and general resting anyway due to delayed big run recovery)

Today was a virtual trail race. 10 miles for my leg, and got pretty much my target time which was a relief. I was aware that I’ve lost some speed with the switch to longer runs so today was a pleasant surprise.

emummy · 30/06/2020 08:28

Well done Amaura! I guess the endurance from the longer runs might have helped.
Intervals this morning, much faster than the last ones, really pleased.

Amaura · 01/07/2020 08:06

Thank you @emummy

Gentle 5 miles last night. After staying up late to meet a deadline I wasn’t up for speed work (despite my intention to jump back on the bandwagon).

Potentially a wrap for June?

396.6

Amaura · 01/07/2020 08:06

Also well done on your intervals!

Is everyone being good with their stretching and strengthening work?

IRun4Me · 01/07/2020 10:10

Last one to add for June. Not quite enough to take us to a round 400 Grin Nice gentle run yesterday with DS. Enjoying our runs together.
Alas Amaura I have to admit the stretches etc have fallen off a bit since I’ve been back in work. I need to get better at fitting them in.

I started running again in May and slowly starting to get better and even starting to enjoy it (never thought that would be something I'd say!)

What is the numbers at the bottom of the posts? Is that a total of everyone miles / km ran?

Amaura · 01/07/2020 15:40

Welcome @Coulddowithanap

You’re spot on. It’s the cumulative monthly mileage (in miles). So we’re still waiting for someone to enter the first value for July 🙂

Amaura · 01/07/2020 18:57

Back on the interval wagon and even nabbed a bonus strava crown 👑

5.1

Coulddowithanap · 01/07/2020 20:04

Ah in that case I have to convert my distance, I work in km, so google says 5.8km is 3.6 miles!

PaddingtonPaddington · 01/07/2020 21:05

Missed adding my Monday 8 mile tempo and Tuesday 5.5 mile intervals to the June total so would have been 412.9

Recovery run today and it felt like a hard slog. About to do some much needed stretching. Thanks for the reminder Amaura

Welcome Coulddowithanap
