Number 14 now full up. I don’t think a new one has been started yet?
November total 191.1. (I think)

Nice relaxed run this morning. Having fun plotting routes through town to collect the weekly scavenger hunt items, found a new path today!

@emummy always love finding a new path. I’ve been looking at the map recently to find some more alternatives to mix up my usual routes.

Intervals last night and recovery run this morning ticking off the plan nicely so far.

Ignore the previous total I can’t add up!

Easy run again today, felt nice. Weather a bit better too.

Wet run with DS last night.
My ‘in work’ hours are changing again so hoping to get out running more again. Really missing it at a time when I need it more than ever

Hi all, not been on this thread before so I hope I'm not intruding! Just started trying to get a better 5k time as I'm super slow and I'd love to do a parkrun in a decent time when they start again. I'm following a Garmin plan which is going really well, did a pb this morning on a time trial, on a mile and 1k too so I'm chuffed. My main form of exercise is actually strength training but I've diversified a bit as I'm on furloughed and need something positive to take my mind off the C word! So I'm running, cycling, doing yoga as well as strength now, just trying not to overdo it all!

IRun4Me · 12/06/2020 09:20

Welcome MrsJamin always lovely to have new people on here to chat about running with. Sounds like you are doing really well.
Gentle run with DS this morning, it was really enjoyable

Welcome @MrsJamin I agree a plan is good to keep motivation and gain improvements. We have a joint mileage going at the end of each post so just add your runs on each time you post (in miles).
Hard 4 Wednesday evening and 8 miles this morning before breakfast. It’s the worst time to run for me but the only way I could fit in in around work and other commitments today but it got it done.

12 odd miles for me scattered around. Definitely needed some recovery this week. Doing a hard circuit session meant I needed another rest day

Welcome MrsJamin! I like a plan for running, it keeps me honest! Currently between plans and just bimbling along. However my half from March was postponed till September so I should start training for it soon, but will it happen? I’m in Scotland, can’t see Ms Sturgeon being keen on races going ahead anytime soon. I might just train for it anyway, it was a one off anniversary race so maybe they’ll do a virtual one.

Parkrun PB for DD today (24:17)

Amaura · 13/06/2020 12:53

Obviously not real parkrun, just a 5km route from our house

Amaura · 13/06/2020 16:18

Welcome @MrsJamin sounds like you have a very balanced program.

Another 4 miles, this time with DS on his bike.

I’m also very slow when I go out in the mornings

@Amaura well done to your DD for a parkrun PB.

A few runs to add on: 9 Saturday, 7 miles of intervals yesterday and 6 recovery today.

Well done to your DD Amaura
Early run this morning. Managed to drag a reluctant DS out

@IRun4Me good that your DS is out running. My DD hasn’t run since lockdown. She said it’s not the same as running in a group with a coach and a whistle!

Tempo 8 yesterday evening - pretty warm. DH and DS joined me on their bikes for 3 miles which was really good at pushing me up the hills as they kept behind me.

Well done to all the running children! Mine are not interested, although the older 2 are doing home exercises. Ds has to be prised out of his room with a crowbar to come for an occasional walk!
Intervals for me in the sunshine today. Missed a run this week after a terrible sleep, still a bit tired but better.

Get yourself a whistle paddington Grin
Just me and the dog today. Didn’t feel like I had much energy but because I wasn’t with DS I was running faster than I have recently

Good idea about the whistle IRun

Had 14 miles on the plan for today but underestimated my route and ended up doing 16. The last 2 miles were mentally really hard but got there. On the upside that means 2 miles off tomorrow’s run Grin

Been so busy this week. I had to forgo Sunday’s run (as was trying to get a head start on the week and it turned out the first task took way longer than I thought it would).

Then had to abandon Wednesdays run almost straight away due to asthma.

18.5 miles to add, hopefully will get a longer one in this weekend, even though I’ve still got work to do so, but I have a 9 mile trail virtual race next weekend later on Sunday so won’t be doing much in that lead up.

DD had to be dragged out, but she’s doing a lot of her other sport too. They both are easy to get out for a gentle 5km but the novelty of riding their bikes while I ran wore off a long time ago in lockdown.

Here’s hoping childcare opens for August

I can’t wait for schools to go back, I really need some space!
Lovely run in woods outside town today, hadn’t been to this place for a while && has forgotten how much fun it is. Worth all the hills!

Short run with DS this morning. So humid at the moment which makes the breathing quite hard
