I was too busy with work to run yesterday and busy all morning, so convinced myself 12 miles at lunchtime would be good training. Don’t know what for mind, other than being a hot sweaty mess.

Did do it as a run road as been neglecting hard surfaces for too long

Thank you for your reassuring comments. He’s gone quiet but in general is very needy so it’s good to put some space up every now and then.

I’ve slightly sprained my ankle so no running for me 😢

Went out on a bike today, but the wind blew down a branch which landed in my gear mechanism and bent it all out of shape

So guess I’m doing a load of low impact hiit sessions this week 😂

Longer run this morning in the sun. Went a new route along the river, thought it was a private path, turns out it’s not. Was really lovely and relaxing.

emummy river route sounds lovely.

IRun chatty runs are good as sometimes you forget the running.

Short run Friday and longer run this morning in the sun. Have been doing more walking and core strength workouts and actually had a rare weekend off completely which was much needed but seemed strange.

Intervals today, very warm! Glad I went along the river, I stopped at the end and dipped my hands in the water and splashed my face. It was fabulous!

Managed to not break any more things (so far). On the plus side, I had time to catch up with work 🤣

Did a 10km run tonight, was going to be 5km but I carried on. Not decided what to do later in the week yet.

Not been on here in a while. Still been doing my 5km plods but trying to work up to 10km now so just adding a km on my distance per week. It's week 1 so 6km tonight and sunday and will go up to 7km at the weekend.

I'm really enjoying myself at the moment. I can feel I'm getting fitter and I'm pleased with my time after each run. I know it won't always be like this but it's so nice to have a good spell as I was ready to throw the towel in about 6 weeks ago. I'm sure I'll feel that way again at some point but I persevered before so I should manage to again.

I'm just adding this weeks miles on as I can't scroll back to see when I last posted now!

Good news ankle has continued to strengthen.

5 mile on wed, 7 on Thursday (which did hurt in the last mile and realised down hill was a bit dodgy). Then went out hoping for 12 but managed 20 (a nice flat one though). None were pretty or fast and all frankly were a hot sweaty mess 🥵

11.2 miles in the slightly cooler breeze making it my first ever 50 mile week. Not sure where it came from, was going to be 3-6 miles but it felt easier than any run this week.

A slow 6 miles this evening. A gentle breeze made for a pleasant run (despite getting a fly stuck in my eye at mile 3!).

stingynettle there are lots of bugs at the moment!

IRun hopefully you can fit your running in ok. I’m still at home for the foreseeable future.

Started my 50K training yesterday with a new plan that I’m determined to stick to. Intervals to start.

New month so restarting the miles

Working from home for me too, doesn’t look as though that will change for at least 6 months. Very weird doing therapy with people you’ve never met!

That must be odd emummy. I've had to get to grips with Skype hearings for my work too. I also had a remote session with a podiatrist during lockdown - tricky to describe exactly what was bothering me while holding a phone over my foot!

Fast 5k this morning. V warm so it was pretty horrible. Still, faster than last week so my fitness is improving.
