Number 14 now full up. I don’t think a new one has been started yet?
November total 191.1. (I think)

I live in a rural large village emummy but the problem is the countryside is largely flat agricultural land so off road is a bit limited. Normally it is fine and quiet but at the moment it is so busy. It is good people are out and about but I do like my solitude when running Grin
A run along the river sounds nice.

Virtual club 5K run, managed to shave 45 seconds off last weekends time. Honestly not sure how I run any faster, I’m only about 10 seconds off my race PB. I so need some other runners to chase! Also had a warm up and cool down to add in a few miles.

I live in a small village, will have to take a photo next time.

Lovely Toto. Are you a rider too? I have two ponies that I to a bit of dressage with.

I had a bit of a shorter Sunday run than usual - it was blowing an absolute gale and I worry about trees coming down. Again lots of cyclists out and about.

Lovely run this morning. Slightly breezy but the sun was glorious. Busier than a normal Sunday morning but lots of quiet parts.

What a lovely day IRun. It is flat by you isn’t it! I need to move...
Hope the gales have calmed down Panticus..
Nice steady run on country roads for me this morning, met a few cyclists but otherwise quite quiet.

I tried a virtual 10km but wasn’t rested or hydrated (wine night before) and left it until lunchtime. So the time was great.

Managed a 5km with DD as well.

Despite recovery week, my shin has been increasing in pain so did a cycle today instead. Think I’ll take another recovery week and hope outdoor exercise doesn’t get banned in the mean time.

Here’s a picture of one of most swear inducing hills from a week ago

Wasn’t great even

emummy · 07/04/2020 10:38

Beautiful sunny morning, quite mild so ran in skort and t shirt. Intervals, happy with pace.
Hope your shin is feeling better Amaura.

I was due to run on Sunday and then again today but I have a bad leg. Any clues what could be causing it? The day after I've run I hobble. It's hard to bear weight and also to lift it. Its mainly at the very top of thigh/groin and can reach down to my knee or shin at times. It doesn't feel muscular, not sharp enough for nerve pain, and can be worse in the morning when I'm stiff.

Any clues anyone? Getting a bit fed up with it now.

emummy · 07/04/2020 19:06

Adductor strain?

Anotherthink · 07/04/2020 23:45

Thanks emummy I think that's it. Such a ball ache. I'll give it some more time and cross my fingers it improves soon.

Panticus · 08/04/2020 06:00

Very pretty Amaura. Is it one of those bastarding hills that you've run so many times that you know every single bump and dip in great detail? They do my head in.

Anotherthink that doesn't sound good at all. Definitely stay off it.

It was a bit of a tick the box run for me this morning. I came across this big fellow just at the end - the mature males are so muscular. They are very shy so bound away if you get too close.

Wow panticus that photo is brilliant. Definitely not the scenery I imagined you would be seeing kangaroos either.

IRun4Me · 08/04/2020 12:56

Amazing photo panticus.
Hope the leg is better soon anotherthink
Short run this morning, but did it faster than expecting

Warm and sunny progression run this morning.
Enjoyed watching programme on channel 5 last night ‘Walking Britain’s list railways’, it was along the Deeside Way which is the riverside path I run along quite often & he was in my town which was fun to see.

That sounds a nice watch emummy
Lovely run this morning. Nice and quiet apart from a few friends out and about

Another warm & sunny run, roads & paths a bit busier but not too bad.

Amazing photos all. Still haven’t got round to taking my phone out with me. Seem to have struggled this week with keeping up my running motivation but managed a sprint session Tuesday, 5K weekly run getting a few seconds off last weeks time Friday and did a lovely slow 10miles today before it got too hot.

I've managed another couple of runs around our trails over the past couple of days - one in the pouring rain and one in the sunshine Grin I actually really love running in the rain - it is the best feeling. Just me?

149.1

PaddingtonPaddington · 13/04/2020 20:37

I don’t mind running in the rain as long as I have my cap on to keep the rain off my face as I wear glasses.

Short trail run this evening.

IRun4Me · 13/04/2020 21:10

I actually quite like running in the rain. I think my favourite though, is between about 2 - 8 degrees and sunshine - cold but sunny 😎

OP posts:
emummy · 14/04/2020 09:15

I don’t mind the rain, not so fond of the cold horizontal version you get in winter though! No rain today, beautiful sunshine but -1! Back to gloves & hat. Good interval session though.

Hello- can I join the thread?
Is anyone running in a town? How are they finding to?

Not sure what the numbers in bold signify, if some one could keep me right?
