Anybody else in London ballot?

It's the first time I've entered. I didn't think I'd be bothered but now we're approaching d day (week after next I'm guessing?) Ive become obsessed and am writing imaginary training plans

When I entered I thought that if I got a spot, I'd defer it to give myself a year to put extra miles in my legs. But now I don't care about the extra miles...!!

Might look for other spring marathons.... K own I couldn't commit to fundraising for charity place.

Steaming I have no bib number on realbuzz and I have a yes, so it isn't accurate.

Depends what time you checked though as they took everyone's off on 2nd in the afternoon

Well done to all who got a place and bad luck to those who didn't... I didn't and I'm a bit gutted. I got my email yesterday afternoon and sulked last night but this morning I entered the Yorkshire marathon so I now have something to aim for :-) It isn't til October so there will be lots of long evenings to train and I will have just turned 40 so it seems like a good way to start a new decade...

I also entered the ride London ballot. Real buzz is showing a bib number but it can't be right as the ballot doesn't shut until January! Has anyone else entered it? I did VLM in 2012 so I'm really hoping to get into ride London as I'm covetting one of those new London Classics medals

They've put messages on the RealBuzz saying This entry has not been successful in the Ballot in abrupt, bright red letters.

Was it you that was considering Blackpool or was that someone else? It's the same day as london. I'm wondering about it - I've done the half there a couple of times.

Rejection email number 9 just received. Will keep trying but chances are I'll be too old by the time I actually land a place!

Baffledmummy, keep trying, the GFA required time is pretty achievable once you get to 80!

I think that VMLM should reinstate the 5 attempts rule. It is unfair that people get a no for 9 years consecutively when others get a yes more than once.

SandunesAndRainclouds I agree. I got very lucky, this was my first time applying. Didn't get in on the ballot, but got on of the 1000 bequest draw places. Although I've done nothing wrong, I can't help feel guilty that there are more deserving runners that should have had the place.

That being said, although I'm not a proper runner at the moment, I am going to give this chance the respect it deserves. I've already started training!

Ha migrant knowing my luck they will reduce the GFA times when I reach 79
