Purple LM branded stuff is ridiculous prices. When I got my step I wanted a LM one but got a reebok one instead as it was cheaper.

Did body balance today in LMOD. Never done it before and loved it, it felt like giving my body a big hug. I haven't done a stretch/balance workout for so long. Although I did the balance one not the strength one so I think it was just the easy bits. I was so rubbish at balance though, and I used to be good. Am thinking of adding it in as a weekly thing as much for destress and wellbeing as anything else.

Theromanempire · 15/01/2018 17:37

Purple well done on the pull ups and press ups - always a fab feeling when you can see yourself improving Smile Hope work isn't too bad this week.

Reastie yes, Body balance is just like a big hug for your body (love that description!) I used to enjoy the classes - not sure how they have split the class into 'Strength', 'Flexibility' and 'Balance' (or whatever the options are) though. The hour-long classes were a real mix of yoga poses (lots of sun salutations etc), a track of balance moves, some pilates, stretch tracks and relaxation tracks. I always remember one track where you literally stood with your legs apart and just dangled forward with your hands on the floor for about 3 minutes Grin you were encouraged to keep trying to move your hands further back etc but it was literally 3 minutes of hanging upside down stretching your hamstrings out - but it felt bloody great!!

All this talk of LMOD is not helping me be strong in not signing up for it Grin

Did ALO Total Body Core yesterday with the bands we bought from Aldi but they weren't really suitable. Too thin and not clingy enough so they kept rolling down/off so me and DH got fed up and stopped using them. Have ordered some from ebay which are much chunkier and more like the ones Autumn uses ready for 80 DO.

Tonight's joy is the 12-round Core de Force workout...

yumyumpoppycat · 15/01/2018 20:05

I don't know where I got 3 from! I have signed up for a month so will do a workout tomorrow, quite excited. I would love a les mills barbell, they use them at the gym I used to go to and come apart really easily without screws and what not, but it aint gonna happen at those prices!

That's a shame about your aldi bands Roman.

Purple I deliberately picked chalean as my weights workout option because there were no pullups, well done on going for it! I think I was a bit put off by my crappy efforts recently - 4 assisted were a struggle, but I thought you were on 10 plus unassisted so now I feel more inspired to try them again at some point in the far off future Actually I watched the first 10 minutes of a new HIIT/ Cross fit documentary on Netflix today and they showed women trying pullups at some kind of event and they weren't at the point of doing proper pullps yet.

yumyumpoppycat · 16/01/2018 10:37

Think this has been said before but ree workouts for kids on LMOD and we can get the app on our fire tv! Did boystep really liked it but a bit noisy for our poor neighbours. Fear of making too much noise and lack of equipment are main pros of the gym for these workouts as the video was really good on my tv app no buffering etc.

Purpleraindeer · 17/01/2018 11:37

10 unassisted pull ups?? Ha ha. I can’t see that ever being possible poppy! I watched the same documentary. Was a bit scary how obsessed people are with cross fit. Made me realise I’m not social enough to get the full benefit of it.

Hope you got through corps de force roman.

Did cardio fix extreme last night (substituted for agility x which I don’t like). I’m feeling very tired at the moment. I think the change to p90x3 is the cause of it. Is good to know it’s doing something. Hopefully warrior tonight. Am feeling tired still but I guess I’ll feel better once it starts

YuleABUnREASTIEable · 17/01/2018 14:52

Ohh yumy I wonder if you can get the paid for OD videos on the fire app as I have a fire stick and would save me having to plug in my iPad to watch the videos.

Purple hope you have more energy soon, it's rubbish feeling lethargic.

Did BA class today. The new routine. Oh my goodness it's such a tough one! Even the instructor said she found it tough going and it's a really hard release. I hated it at the time but now I can't wait until next week, it's good to have a proper challenge! Think I'll need a rest day tomorrow to recover from that though!

yumyumpoppycat · 17/01/2018 20:08

Yes Reastie search for les mills! you just need to put your login details. I signed up on my pc.

Purple I think mixing insanity (?) and P90x3 is very hardcore as you are getting the hardest of both worlds. Agility x is pretty rubbish even though they make it sound amazing in the description. I had a rubbish workout this morning - body balance, I kept slipping in my bare feet and not understanding what I should be doing and didn't feel like a good workout but I will try harder tomorrow! I just wasn't in the zone.

yumyumpoppycat · 17/01/2018 20:11

cardio fix extreme is autumn not insanity doh, but the autumn workouts I have tried have all been hardcore too. Agility x includes ring a rosies for heavens sake Wink

yumyumpoppycat · 17/01/2018 20:17

Sorry back to Les Mills on the fire stick - it's great - easy to navigate through the workouts, good picture and bigger screen! Only downside was I couldn't find the workout planners which I found on the PC.

YuleABUnREASTIEable · 17/01/2018 20:44

Brilliant tip yumy, will try that at the week end

Purpleraindeer · 17/01/2018 21:47

Hello! Yes I’m sort of mixing p90x3 and either max30 or 21dfx to substitute for any rubbish p90x3 cardio. This may be why I’m tired as this means there aren’t really any easy workouts. Managed warrior tonight. Cvx tomorrow which I always dread as it’s hard.

My inner thighs are killing from squats. I’m walking a bit like a duck. Weirdly my ankles feel tired too. Odd.

Glad you enjoyed BA reastie. I love those ‘love to hate’ workouts. I feel like that about a lot of max30

Have a good evening all

Purpleraindeer · 18/01/2018 18:48

So my thighs are still sore now and I couldn’t face cvx so I went with upper focus from t25 beta. I have chosen to call this adjusting my workout schedule to changing circumstances rather than wimping out and opting for something easier! Grin

yumyumpoppycat · 18/01/2018 23:26

Ooh purple - nothing worse than really achy thighs, you have my sympathy, proper agony when you have to bend to pick things off the floor! Hopefully it will be mostly better tomorrow. You must have worked really hard on the workout that caused it so have def earned an easier workout, not that t25 is really easier than CVX, but there are a couple of squaty touch the floor bits in it.

yumyumpoppycat · 19/01/2018 10:58

did LMOD Body attack - one of the 30 mins ones. Enjoyed it a lot and my face was beetroot! I am rubbish at long jumps. I couldn't see myself spending 120 a year on it but maybe 4 or 5 months a year would work out, if unsubscribing is easy enough.

Purple forgot to say you are so right about the crossfit bunch, found the section on injuries a bit depressing, how can it be healthy if it causes so many injuries needing surgery? I guess that was more for those in competitions though.

Theromanempire · 19/01/2018 12:15

So I was just planning on signing up to LMOD and justifying the subscription to myself but 80DO is not coming up on the secret site yet (although it has been available on BBOD since Monday and the videos usually appear within 24 hours). So DH wants to sign up to BBOD so we can do it (plus he is permanently uncomfortable about using the secret site Hmm) but can't really afford both Sad I want to Attack and Combat and Balance!!!

Purple I did Upper Focus on Wednesday but that's not my easy option Grin Rest day yesterday as I had worked out for about 6 days straight so figured we had earned it! Not sure what I am doing tonight - depends if DH is around or not.

Yum glad you enjoyed Attack - it really is the one workout that is guaranteed to make you more sweaty and red than any other I have done. An hour truly is a killer Grin

Reastie was the Attack you went to BA100? As it was the 100th release, I read that it was going to be 'special'? Was special an euphemism for very hard then? I was hoping it would be a collation of all the best tracks from the 100 releases like a greatest hits (although I know that would be subjective) but I am guessing it wasn't.

yumyumpoppycat · 19/01/2018 12:20

Roman do you want to do 80 day thing live with facebook folk? If not les mills it for a couple of months while there is 1 month free, then either 80day might be on SS or you could sign up to official site? I might be wrong but I don't think you need LMOD for a year or anything.

Purpleraindeer · 20/01/2018 17:36

Finally got cvx done today. My legs are still aching. I have no idea why. Dd was watching Jurassic Park so distracted myself with that whilst was doing cvx but it was still tough going.

To be clear roman I don’t find t25 upper focus easy - it was just easier to do arms rather than work my poor tired legs even more.

I like the sound of body attack 30min workout.

Theromanempire · 20/01/2018 17:57

yum no I am not planning on doing 80 DO in a group - just me and DH! Need to wait till payday next week in any event as, assuming the direct debit will go out a month after I sign up for whatever I sign up for, I need it to be after payday each month and not before 😂

Did Pyramid followed by ALO cardio core today...was a hard hour!

YuleABUnREASTIEable · 20/01/2018 18:45

Thermo I'm not sure if the new release is the number 100 or not but it was definitely the hardest one I've done so maybe you're right.

How much does BBOD cost? Is it on a par with LMOD? I think I'll end out signing up to LMOD at the end of the month and paying. I think I'm going to enjoy body balance too much! I feel a bit like I'm neglecting BB ATM completely but then they are annoying me a bit with their selling tactics.

Well, dh and I went out for a walk on Thursday and I wore my walking boots which I haven't worn for years and realised why I never wore them - owwwww the blisters! I have the mother of all blisters on the back of my foot. Today was BA DVD day but I couldn't walk in my trainers despite padding out with various cushioned plaster contraptions so I had to do BA in bare feet! I hope this isn't some terrible thing and I'll be limping tomorrow! I tried to be careful and not push myself too much (I say tried because I still worked hard). Hoping for a run tomorrow but not sure if painful feet with manage to wear trainers (I can only wear one pair of shoes which are a size too big for me or it's too painful) so might have to do a balance or weights something just to get a workout in. Any advice on hastening blisters to go away?

Theromanempire · 20/01/2018 19:07

reastie ouch ouch ouch! Blisters are just awful so I feel your pain 😣 no advice...just time in my experience. I think doing weights and Body Balance is a good idea as neither require trainers...unless you drop the weights on your feet 😂

Purpleraindeer · 21/01/2018 15:01

My only blisters advice is to pop them and put bandage tape over the top. I hope they are less sore today

Total synergistics this am then playing in the snow. Lovely

YuleABUnREASTIEable · 21/01/2018 15:58

Blisters are popped and bandage was on yesterday. Today I'm letting their air ready for wearing shoes again tomorrow. Did body pump on LMOD this morning. I've only ever done the bb LMBP before so was nice to do a different pump workout. I swayed between loving it and missing pump to feeling really depressed as much of it I couldn't do or had to modify so much I barely felt it where I should before it hurt my injuries. I so wish I could do it properly with proper weights to get that BP feel good strength feeling. Thermo luckily no weights dropped on feet!

Hoping to a quick cheeky swim tomorrow if my legs don't ache too much from all the squats and lunges!

yumyumpoppycat · 21/01/2018 18:09

Reastie I am wincing at blister talk, hope you are ok by tomorrow. Would some of those blister plasters help for normal shoes? Were you using a bar without weights for bodypump? I want to try BP but no barbell so will have to use weights but not sure that is going to work.

Bodycombat today - went for the shortest one which was 28 mins.

Makes sense to wait for the right signup date roman.

I am biting my lip about signing up for the free trial purple, ahem {signup!} Wink Very jealous of your snow it has been sleet here all day and the kids have been soooo bored as we have limited the screen time.

yumyumpoppycat · 21/01/2018 18:13

Actually I might unsign up towards the trial to test out how easy it is and report back. I prob will pay for at least one month after that though.

YuleABUnREASTIEable · 21/01/2018 21:15

Yumy if you sign up I did the most recent bp (think it might be 107??) on there the full 55 minute one. I was surprised how much they used weights not the barbell so definitely worth giving a go. for most things in that release you could do it with weights e.g. Hold hand weights for the lunges and squats. The hardest move to replicate without a barbell I think is the clean and press, but my physio won't let me do that, I have to do the stand up and sit down move so repeatedly you could try that withweights (I hate it but it must be good for me!). From memory the bicep and tricep track were all free weights, abs had no weights, legs tracks you could hold a weight. I did chest track with free weights. It's just back and shoulders you'd need to modify a bit some moves.
