6 miles in gym commutes. Didn't do track last night as we had "Amber Rain" which means "Don't bother - the track will be flooded and you're gonna get soaked".

3.4 plodding miles from me in the sunshine, first run of the year in a short sleeve tshirt and short leggings, but then it does have to be tropical for me to bare skin Grin

ThursdayDog & I covered about 2.5 mikes around our local woods today - was so good to get out up there again, my old stomping ground Smile

I'm actually quite enjoying the run/walk format - so lovely having no pressure and being 'allowed' to rest after a bit if uphill!

Also, massive congratulations BlackCat!

NattyGolfJerkin · 04/05/2016 19:21

Hiya. I've been on these threads in the past but my running habit fell by the wayside. Back on it now, though I'm starting again with the c210k programme. So far this week I've clocked up 8miles

MyBlackCat · 04/05/2016 19:41

ThursdayLastWeek · 04/05/2016 21:17

Of course Thanks I shall keep my gx Smile

ThursdayLastWeek · 05/05/2016 09:48

Hello Natty [smiles]

I have slightly achy ankles today - I haven't run trail since I was 30 weeks and I can feel it!

stilllearnin · 05/05/2016 10:22

What a beautiful morning. 6 from me today and it felt lovely. Now then you lot I am contemplating a autumnal HM. My life is chaotic at the moment and I need something I have some kind of say in (iyswim). Any of you fancy talking me into it??

Nice run in sunny forest, hard work on the last hill in the heat! And it's not even that hot...
Go for it stilllearnin! Half marathons are lovely and I find having the training to do gets me out the door on my lazier days! If I'm going to drag myself up hills for the Glen Coe half, I'll need some company to get through the training!

HalleLouja · 05/05/2016 13:17

3 miles from intervals yesterday makes 125.25.

Anglaise1 · 05/05/2016 14:02

Still learnin go for it! a HM will give you something to aim for in your chaotic life at the moment. I'm sure the training would help you both physically and mentally.
Bank holiday here in France today so did the new trail course of our club with some of the guys. Beautiful sunny morning, almost too hot at the end. 13 to add

I've only done one HM stilllearnin and it was in September last year. Really good conditions for running, and youve lovely long summer evenings during which to train.

Chasing2959 · 05/05/2016 20:43

Another 2 miles tonight makes 140.25
Am also thinking about another half in the autumn, have done 2 before but would like to try again to improve my time. Might sign up if I can manage to break 30 mins for 5k small goals!

Purpletoes · 05/05/2016 23:07

Well done on all the runs starting back.

Stillearnin I did my 1st hm a few weeks ago and am thinking of doing one over the Autumn. Friend is in GNR so will train with her and find one for around the same time. Going to spend the summer concentrating on 5 and 10km.

A quick 3.1 miles from me in which a included 2x 4 min Kenyan hills sessions around a small hilly playground near me. Tough but rewarding.
143.35

cinnamongreyhound · 06/05/2016 07:21

I've found the ones I've done really hard stilllearnin but very worthwhile and the good thing is you only need one long run a week which is maximum 2hrs as you get closer to be able to run it. It's a good target to set yourself Smile

Hi NattyGolfJerkin, hope the c210k goes well!

Beautiful morning today, 7C here so still nice and cool 147.35
