Get well soon LastQueen. Doesn't sound fun.

MyBlackCat · 16/12/2015 19:23

After 10 days of no running work related stress I got back out today for 3.5 miles, need to get back on it, 10 weeks until 15 mile xc race Shock

Get well soon lastqueen. Better now than over Christmas I guess.

Hope the massage was good Halle. My PT was trying to de-knot my scapula today- thought I was going to vomit from the pain but it did the trick.

Adding 6.2. Just ran to the gym after I dropped DD at pre-school and then ran back home after my PT session. Going to head out for a quick run with friends tomorrow and then try a longer one on Saturday. Flying back to the Uk Sunday and it'll be Christmas craziness for 2 weeks. However, hoping that with hot and cold running grandparents doting on the kids, I might at least get out along the beach a few times.

17.5 miles from me over the last 2 runs, still taking it a bit easy distance wise as I dont feel quite 100% since that touch of flu

Slow hilly run in the woods. Got a cold coming on and the new route I chose was almost all uphill. Next time will do it the other way round! Dog had great time, especially when we met 2 deer. They got well away of course, far too fast for her! Thighs were aching after tough boot camp session yesterday - session with foam roller needed tonight!

Thanks all think it was a 24 hour bug! 4.85 today bit off pace but can't run till Sunday so didn't want to miss three days in a row

Quick 6.5 miler this morning to make 603.12.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/12/2015 07:31

Managed to get out again today, it's so mild and thankfully dry! 607.12

Anglaise1 · 18/12/2015 15:09

24.4 from the last 3 days, no running tomorrow as 10k race on Sunday, first since March, have mainly done longer races this year.
Today's run was wonderful: dry, sunny and 17°C. Footpaths getting a little muddy now.

KeyserSophie · 19/12/2015 11:58

Your wedding??? If so, Congrats!!!

Just adding 10 to make 651.02. Saw a dead porcupine in a catch water. Exciting stuff. Spent a good 45 mins figuring out how it got there.

cinnamongreyhound · 19/12/2015 12:47

No, not mine, a parkrun wedding Wink two of our rd's are marrying each other. Myself and three others made separate bits and put it together for the happy couple this morning. I have been married 9 years Smile

MyBlackCat · 19/12/2015 15:13

I volunteered at Parkrun this morning so don't have my 3.1 Parkrun miles to add, instead I went cross country through all the mud to add 7.4 this afternoon Grin

FiftyNineOhEight · 19/12/2015 20:16

Lovely early run with sun coming up at the end. Off to spend the afternoon at Panto with dcs so hope I don't seize up sitting for hours!
Good luck today Anglaise.

Been poor at keeping up with you all this week. anglaise good luck with the race, Hope your flight back goes well Keyser, Lovely cake cinammon was it all consumed by the end of the park run? Hope all nursing christmas bugs get rid of them asap.

20 miles since last post. Up local hill on Tuesday, night run on Thursday, and 12 this morning with a club run. Milder but wind and rain up high got me quite cold, and took my windproof instead of waterproof which was a bad idea.

lastqueenofscotland · 20/12/2015 18:27

10.2 this morning. Found out my uncle is running the same race as me in a month I have to beat him!! Possibly the best motivation to keep going over Xmas period.

702.02

Anglaise1 · 20/12/2015 19:19

10k (my first since March) finished and managed a PB of under 46 mins for the first time ever, thanks to a 'hare' from the club who would have run much faster if it hadn't been for me following him. I was so happy as I've mainly done trails this year and thought I'd lost a lot on speed thanks to that and the extra 3kgs I'm carrying. 2nd woman in my category so a podium but thankfully no ugly trophy, a towel and a tin of biscuits instead. Was really proud that my club won first prize amongst all the others.
710.02 including the warm up and cool down kms.

Purpletoes · 20/12/2015 23:03

3.1 from me parkrun yesterday. Was slow and I may have gotten lost in middle of it! Blush. It was a lovely parkrun near my parents as in Ireland for Christmas. We only travelled the night before so was tired but did get up and do it. Small field 23. Plus time keeper didn't show up so was timed on a phone stopwatch, course partly flooded so was loops through woods on an island on lake. Hence the loss of direction from me.

Throughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to repeating it in the summer. That parkrun isn't on Boxing Day as they have a local 10k which they tried to convince me to run! Grin

Well done on your PB anglaise that's great!

713.12

HalleLouja · 21/12/2015 12:20

13.1 miles done since I last checked in (3 separate runs). Ran a lovely 7 miles with a friend yesterday. My last mile split was the same as my last mile in parkrun the day before. Not sure that makes sense but hey ho. I am still talking to my friend even though there was a massive hill.

I am going to start increasing my mileage again.

Well done Anglaise. I love being a club member, it makes running so much more interesting / fun.

HalleLouja · 21/12/2015 12:21

Makes 726.2.

I forgot my Garmin for my interval session so that had to be a guesstimate.

lastqueenofscotland · 21/12/2015 18:34

Anglaise you machine! 5.5 from me
731.7

fromheretomaternity · 21/12/2015 20:57

Three runs in past week totalling ten miles... getting back in the swing after a lull of several months

741.7

custardcreamdreams · 21/12/2015 21:24

Wow Anglaise that time is fabulous! Well done.

4.5 fartlek to add from the other day and 7.6 tonight.

Was really chuffed with my run tonight. I was taking it easy and up a big hill and my 10k came in at 57. Still few minutes off my pb but I hadn't put any effort into it as I've a bit of a sore throat. All the extra classes at the gym must be paying off.

I did bootcamp for the first time a couple of weeks ago emummy and my quads ached for days. Was great fun though.

custardcreamdreams · 21/12/2015 21:25
