Sorry about the hundred miles think that's the second time I've messed up the total

cinnamongreyhound · 12/07/2015 07:11

Parkrun from me yesterday and a bit putting signs out, warm here by 9am! Dog wasn't impressed and even went in the lake first lap despite her hatred of water!

Never heard Sophie is a killer KeyserSophie, just thought yesterday how much for bit of rubber?!?

Back home now, lovely easy morning run along a favourite route, quite warm with a welcome refreshing light rain shower at the end.

Sparklepup · 12/07/2015 16:54

562.05

lastqueenofscotland · 12/07/2015 17:38

thanks banging!

I didn't run today... did however buy three pairs of nike shorts.

Whoops.

standingonlego · 12/07/2015 19:01

Friend did a 50k ultrarun yesterday, I was support crew / taxi and did a bit of running too but unsure of distance due to low battery. Estimate 8ish miles taking us to a rounded

570.0

Anglaise1 · 12/07/2015 20:12

SOrry Standing am going to unround it, 8.75 miles today, so
578.75
not a 'useful' run, I haven't done one of those for a while. Must get back to training rather than just running for running's sake. I just love running and am finding it hard to 'walk' the dog rather than run with him.

13.1 hm from me today. Hot and sunny ( well, 18 degrees, I know, I know Blush. I really struggled miles 8-11 and did not enjoy them at all! Mile 12 was better as downhill and mile 13 flat but into a strong coastal headwind, which was actually lovely and cooling today. Local residents had sprinklers out for us and one young girl was having great fun squirting runners with a very welcome water pistol Grin . No PB, I had to slow from my planned pace as I realised I wasn't going to be able to maintain it, but happy enough.

Running is a funny thing, during the hard miles I was adamant that I would never do another summer hm but within a couple of hours of finishing I was looking at one in 4 weeks as that weekend has become unexpectedly free. Surely our Scottish summer will be over by then Wink

familygermsareok · 12/07/2015 22:37

578.75 + 13.1 = 591.85

TriJo · 12/07/2015 23:35

6km each day this weekend - short ones while home visiting family.

599.35

Neeko · 13/07/2015 07:24

A rainy but pleasant 3.25 from me this morning.

602.6

Anglaise1 · 13/07/2015 08:00

Family well done on your HM, don't worry about not getting a PB, it sounds like it was a fun race to do despite the headwind at the end! I like to do a race at least every month to keep me focused, but trail rather that road races in the summer, so not so much against the chrono but more endurance. 18°C is too hot for me for racing, it must have been very difficult for you!

familygermsareok · 13/07/2015 10:23

Thanks Anglaise, I kinda know that chasing a PB every race is a bit unrealistic but I feel I've been running well recently and had high hopes. The one in 4 weeks is a mixture of trail and small roads so should be much more to my liking. Incredible how much harder it is to race in the heat. I am fine running slowly in the summer with no time pressure but what a struggle when I tried to maintain a faster pace.
Kudos to you lastqueen for achieving your best 13m time in 24 degrees!

KeyserSophie · 13/07/2015 13:51

Adding 5 to make 607.6. Not feeling the love- got laryngitis so it was ploddy. Skipped Crossfit this morning but felt kind of ok this evening so figured I'd just take it slowly. Can't talk at all other than whisper - was quite amazing how much I got done at work today though Grin.

MadMonkeys · 13/07/2015 17:24

Just downloaded some running music from Audio Fuel - looking forward to my run tonight. I'm planning to leave a curry in the oven for when I get back, that should motivate me!

cinnamongreyhound · 13/07/2015 21:50

I was the same with my first hm familygermsareok, although it took more than a few hours!

Lovely run with canicross club tonight, bit muggy! 612.6

MadMonkeys · 13/07/2015 22:19

A good run, I like the new music ????

3.6+612.6=616.2

AnnPerkins · 14/07/2015 06:47

Four very enjoyable miles from me last night.

620.2

phlebasconsidered · 14/07/2015 12:47

Back again from me.
Began running again on Sunday (3 miles) and did 4 miles today. Foot, toe , tendon holding up well so far. Aiming to get back up to 10 miles over 3 or so weeks, am less than optimistic about Hm though, given how hard those piddly miles were this week after a month off! And so much slower than normal!
627.2

Purpletoes · 14/07/2015 13:48

Adding 5.5 from me.

Did my first parkrun this weekend was great if hot.

Have club night tonight I might bite the bullet and move up a group and see how I cope with the faster pace!
