4 early miles from me 307.62, got mixed up with meeting times so a bit of hanging around before we started!

TriJo · 07/07/2015 10:33

Battersea Park 5k last night, hubby had been telling me I should do one so I decided to do it for the craic. Second fastest 5k I've ever done! Finished in 23:56, which I'm absolutely delighted with because I haven't been sub-24 since 2012.

310.72

AggressiveBunting · 07/07/2015 14:51

Adding 11.3 to make 322. Bloody hard doing team training after work and did 7k before and 4k after on my own to get a bit more mileage in. Need to sleep now and TFI rest day tomorrow

suzannecanthecan · 07/07/2015 15:34

11.76 from me brings it to

333.76

LornMowa · 07/07/2015 16:16

standingonlego Good luck with that race. Those hills around there are grueling. I have been up to Crich on my bike but I don't think my calves would cope if I tried to run it.

6.4 miles from me since my last posting so 8340.16*

LornMowa · 07/07/2015 16:18

Whoops! bolding fail 340.16

Banging slow is better than sitting on the sofa! Good for you.
12.5 from me, dog runs plus long club run with 30sec intervals at the end. Lovely cool evening, with cold beers after to celebrate a birthday. Perfect!
355.59

Just 2 miles from me last night - interval running, which was fun :)

355.59+2=357.59

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 07/07/2015 21:24

4.7 tourist-dodging miles in Central London's most lovely parks at lunchtime today takes us to 362.29

lastqueenofscotland · 07/07/2015 22:34

5 dead on today felt ok if not slightly weak? 367.29

HalleLouja · 07/07/2015 22:41

Did 4.5 ish of hill reps makes 371.79. My first set of hill reps and I am going to be sore in the morning.

HalleLouja · 07/07/2015 22:42

PS The whole lot wasn't hill reps. We ran there and back.

Purpletoes · 07/07/2015 22:58

5.4 today so that's 377.19
It was a local mob match between the 2 local running clubs was fun. Smile

emummy · 08/07/2015 09:48

4 on the Fife coastal path, really nice route.
381.19

Whowouldfardelsbear · 08/07/2015 11:08

runtothehills - yes Wellington is windy. Had a few hairy plane landings. Worst one was when a woman behind me kept screaming when the plane bounced. I was on the last leg (Auckland to Wellington) of a flight back from the UK on my own with my then 3 year old and 6 month old so I was beyond caring by that point!

A 5k personal best from me today (29 min 11 secs) which makes us 384.29

I am now going to aim for a half marathon distance and have downloaded the Jeff Galloway app. I am a bit unsure as to what intervals to do though as 1 min run and 1 min walk seems a bit slow. Do any of you know anything about this app who can offer me some advice?

familygermsareok · 08/07/2015 11:40

Fife running sounds fab emummy. I love holiday runs in new places Smile
DS1 and I ran along a coastal path too this morning, from Findochty to Cullen. Wild and windy, we were high up on cliffs above massive waves breaking on rocks, it was spectacular!

standingonlego those are some impressive hills!

Well done on your PB Whowould. I can't give any advice on app as I've never used an official training plan but I'm sure you could just adapt it to what you feel suits you, dont worry about sticking to it rigidly.

384.29 + 8.45 = 392.74

lastqueenofscotland · 09/07/2015 06:59

Well done on pbs whowould! 9.67 from me yesterday
492.39 have a great day everyone

emummy · 09/07/2015 09:00

5.3 in lovely sunshine this morning. Followed someone else's directions and got a bit lost so went further than planned!
497.69

TriJo · 09/07/2015 10:20

4 miles running to work this morning - what tube strike? :)

501.69

AggressiveBunting · 09/07/2015 10:41

Wont be running today as they've just put the Typhoon Signal up- went to Crossfit this morning and was meant to run there and back but had 10 mins extra in bed and then didnt have time. However, I have not been resting on my laurels...oh no......happy to announce that the shortlist of licorice allsort providers has been assessed this week and the winner is.......drumroll........marks and Spencer... so they will be the new provider of trail race fuel to Aggressive Bunting. Incidentally, they also won the jaffa cake tender, but that was based on size and shape rather than taste.

back to running tomorrow, assuming not still typhooning.

Well done everyone who's actually been running.

lastqueenofscotland · 09/07/2015 13:10

Aggressive yore in hk aren't you? I always lived typhoons... Oh you mean I am actually obliged to stay at home and watch bad telly? Well.... If you insist....

6 about dead on from me today

507.69

No running tomorrow then 16 miler on Saturday!

suzannecanthecan · 09/07/2015 14:54

11.74 from me
519.43

Good luck with the 16 miler Lastq

I hope to increase my distance a little (aches and pains permitting) when we get to autumn but 11/12 miles seems about my limit lately!

AggressiveBunting · 09/07/2015 14:59

The typhoon never showed and is currently dying a rapid death over Guangzhou! Bah! So kids were off school for nothing. There's a half joke that it was a communist plot to keep the markets sit so they can't fall anymore.

Will have to see if they drop it completely by school o'clock tomorrow. Otherwise we're off to see Minions.
