Hello all, am thinking of doing first one of these tmrw, but I'm not fast (just under 40 mins for 5k ) Will I be the only one running miles behind?!?

Honeymoonmummy, can you check the latest results from your local parkrun, and see what times people usually come in at? At some runs I've attended there have been walkers and/or tail runners, so there's often people coming in around that time.

Honeymoonmummy even if you are the last runner (and you probably won't be) nobody will mind!

Just about to set off now for ParkRun number 40. It's lashing down. Not expecting a PB, doing my first half marathon In 3 weeks and really need to get used to my HM pace

Good thing about PR is you'll never be last :) thank god for tail runners. Also, I know at ours so e people walk it

I looked at the last few races and it looked really fast, people from running clubs coming first at under 20 mins, it doesn't give the time for last place Will email the organiser and ask, thanks

49 for me today, I'm RD next week then me and my running buddy are doing our 50th together on 13th as long as she runs next week. We're doing a 5 and a 0 cake :) but it's also ds2's birthday so will have to leave by 10.30 :( for his birthday day out!

Well done everyone else in their run whether it's 16 mins or 45, it's still 5k more than those on the sofa :)

Had a good parkrun today. Kept the lady I use as motivation in my sights she was slower than normal for once and was so so so close to a PB. I let myself walk for 30 paces and now I so wish I hadn't.

Fingers crossed the official timing is kinder to me than runkeeper.

Good one for me. 30 seconds off last week and managed to get past the lady who normally beats me by about 40 seconds.

I just got my text. I was FOUR SECONDS off a PB. Grrr that poxy hill and my poxy weak will.

27.22 here. Not quite as good as pb last week. Will need to try harder next week . Actually not sure if I can make it now the holidays are over but will try when I can.

I did finish strongly. My friends were most impressed. As they watched after handing in their tokens

I think we might have had a timing problem. I was slow today, but didn't finish in 59:59, which is what my text says

Did my 50th today . Just managed to squeeze it in before we move away (to a place with no Parkrun nearby ).

32:06 nice steady pace today and did another 3 mile afterwards.
