.......would you vote the same as you did originally?

OP posts:
MrsAidanTurner · 17/07/2018 11:55

Yes

Madeinmanhattan · 17/07/2018 11:56

Yes i would.

GeorgieTheGorgeousGoat · 17/07/2018 11:56

Hmm maybe not.

Samcro · 17/07/2018 11:56

yes

CambridgeAnaglypta · 17/07/2018 11:57

I wouldn't vote.

Whats the point? I give my opinion the first time and now half the country want a different outcome so are trying everything to get a second ref. So if I voted Leave again would my vote be respected as it wasn't the first time?

gluteustothemaximus · 17/07/2018 11:58

I didn’t vote originally, so now I’m registered, I would vote remain.

Same with DH.

NameChanger22 · 17/07/2018 11:59

Yes, I voted remain, campaigned for remain and I have never had a moment's doubt that I voted the wrong way.

We need a second referendum to start to undue the damage of the first one.

FastandLoose · 17/07/2018 11:59

Yes (remain)

Nesssie · 17/07/2018 12:00

Yes. Sick of all this going on about it , how the democratic vote wasn't the actual will of the people (??!?!?) and how poor naïve me was duped by the government, but these amazing remainers have opened my eyes and enlightened me etc etc blah fucking blah

Its made me even more determined to stick to my guns (I voted leave)

TistyTosty · 17/07/2018 12:02

I voted remain and would do so again, I don't know anyone who voted remain that has changed their mind but plenty who voted leave who now have regrets.

OP posts:
onedayiwillmissthis · 17/07/2018 12:03

I have not changed my mind. I would vote the same way.

purplelass · 17/07/2018 12:03

I voted remain and I'd vote remain again.

It looks like Mrs May is giving the EU control over us either way so I kind of feel sorry for the people who voted leave to be free from EU control (but not for the ones who voted leave to 'get the foreigners out').

The whole thing is becoming a complete shambles... Angry

Harpingon · 17/07/2018 12:04

Yes, I think some people would be very surprised at the outcome this time.

DrWhy · 17/07/2018 12:04

Yes absolutely. Now the Leave campaign have been found guilty of electoral fraud is it likely that we’ll have to have another referendum and even if we do can we just cancel Brexit? I can’t imagine Brussels would be best pleased at the waste of its time and money.

Mookatron · 17/07/2018 12:04

If you voted leave and still would, can you explain why? Genuinely interested not goady.

Kezzie200 · 17/07/2018 12:07

I was remain and still am and would vote the same but

Whats it all about? We dont need another referendum we either need..

Brexit as per original outcome, or
The Government to have the balls to say it cant be done we made an error of judgement giving the option to you.

And to get the former the leave gang need to get the PM put, go for leadership themselves and sort this mess.

Kezzie200 · 17/07/2018 12:13

I have to say, like others, I have sympathy with leavers. They were sold the promise of something that clearly cannot be.

Negotiations are exactly that and you win some and you lose some. They were sold a story that we could have everything and its now clear we cannot. They, understandably, arent happy but have to realise Davis, Johnson, Gove and others have been right there throughout and not managed to help secure an option anywhere near what they promised. Quite how they ever will i dont know but while they are not running for leadership they are making it abundantly clear they have no ability to improve the offer.

formerbabe · 17/07/2018 12:17

I voted to leave.

If I could vote again, I'd reluctantly vote to remain. I think Brexit will be a disaster, however, I'm extremely concerned about the EU expanding.

StealthPolarBear · 17/07/2018 12:18

Yes.

Mookatron · 17/07/2018 12:20

Yes, I have sympathy with leavers too. I would understand if people dug their heels in but sometimes you make a decision based on one set of facts, and then it becomes clear that they were not facts after all.

HoneyDragon · 17/07/2018 12:20

Yup.

Rosstac · 17/07/2018 12:21

If we have the deal that TM has on the table, we might as well stay as we are ( if EU let’s us) that’s from a leave voter, it won’t make much difference but I would never vote Tory again

Kittykatmacbill · 17/07/2018 12:23

Yes the same way to remain. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to vote leave.

newdocket · 17/07/2018 12:24

yes

Hamiltoes · 17/07/2018 12:26

I didn't vote the first time (was in spain)... I was initially shocked at the leave vote, then quite pleased and optomistic and actually thought it wouldn't be so terrible. But this utter shitshow has firmly made me see that right now we're probably incapable of turning this into a land of mouldy potatoes never mind a land of milk and honey and plentiful North Sea fish. I do think it's going to take us at least 10 years after the exit to get things remotely sorted (as in back to how good things are now).
