So you resolve us about as strong as TMs Brexitarmslandlady

I'm not starting another thread on here, oh, here's another thread.

A bit like, were not having a GE or we're leaving the CU Hmm

Inkanta · 02/03/2018 21:07

Ha ha haa Wine - good move BrexitArmsLandlady Smile

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 21:12

Can I ask, if all leavers are happy with our new approach.
I know we are still leaving and.looking to make FTA agreements with test of world.
But although it was said we would not be staying in either the SM or CU. Mrs May also said dealing with goods she wanted to stay pretty much as now; as we in uk developed most of the rules and like them as much as EU
Isn't dangerously close to staying in SM as in Norway and having to pay for it too

gussyfinknottle · 02/03/2018 21:13

So, Remain votes aren't welcome in your echo chamber? Sounds about right.

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 21:19

Also on radio 5 live drivetime show at 1620ish, might be on iplayer radio if you all want to listen

Greg Clark trade minister was asked
you save we are leaving custom union, but reality we are swapping it for a customs partnership
I thought he say no way thats wrong. No SM or CU
But no he is in reality, you are right. As neither side, leave or remain voted for trading barriers, so this is best way to exit and keep near frictionless trade.
Is that a) bit of a lie to us and b) a sell o

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 21:19

Cheers fellow Brexiters 🍷

Nice to have our own thread 😂😂

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 21:20

Sorry should finish b) and a sell out on no Custon Union membership

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 21:25

I'm happy with it user.

Not signing up to SM/CU in entirety means that the door is open to proper Brexit in the future if we decide to.

TM is essentially starting the process - upholding the Ref vote and removing us from the strait jacket of full SM/CU.

If the country then decides to (hypothetical) vote for a JRM Tory party standing on a full Brexit manifesto - that means it will be vastly easier to do.

If she'd suggested signing up to full SM/CU, then that would be a cop out - this isn't.

It isn't full, clean Brexit - but it isn't BINO either.

I must admit I haven’t listened to the speech in its entirety - but I do understand that she can’t please everyone & she’s not going to get everything she wants.
But all things considered, I’m ok with it.

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 21:27

I'm going wherever that chat is.

I only started the other thread because brexitarmslsndlady stated she's not starting another thread.

Seems her willpower and principles are as short lived as our governments are.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 02/03/2018 21:33

I see the brexiteers are back peddling. They’ll take what they are given. Nothing.

@user1471450935
You impress me
A couple of threads ago we were ranting at each other
now you are challenging both sides with your better understanding and holding all of us to account
for that I applaud you
I think that we still fundamentally disagree
BUT
you have become analytical
and for that, Holderness will thank you
because you will see politics for what it is and be able to help your community become more resilient

In time I hope to be able to persuade you that staying in the EU is to your benefit
but as you are now researching and thinking, I'm happy to address your questions as they arise.

Your kids have a good Dad.

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 21:35

If she'd suggested signing up to full SM/CU, then that would be a cop out - this isn't.

She hadn't suggested it but she sure as shit hasn't completely ruled it out.

She's paved the way for breaking the news to you lot that SM/CU is the only way we can survive.

Put a frog into boiling water and it'll jump out.

Put a frog into cold water and gently heat it up and it won't notice it's having the life sucked out of it.

Sweet dreams frogs 🐸 🐸

Oh Christ, TalkinPeace has turned into the Dalai Lama.

Inkanta · 02/03/2018 21:42

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 21:43

PMSL surfer I might not agree with your politics but I'm with you in the 'I've shown you the light' guff Grin

abilockhart · 02/03/2018 21:43

It's another thread for idiots to say completely silly things without being challenged.

TalkinPeace · 02/03/2018 21:47

bear
my post at userwas actually meant to be dumped in the bin of the last thread
BUT
I did nothing on my own
we all try to focus on facts and focus to help bright brexiteers learn to think analytically
it may not change their minds
but it will reduce the insults

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 21:49

talk I don't expect anyone to agree with me and I'm the first to admit I'm easily annoyed by people's posting styles but you do talk to user like he is 5.

FaithHopeCharityDesperation · 02/03/2018 21:50

I've unblocked you Bear Wink

you do talk to user like he is 5.

Agree.

bearbehind · 02/03/2018 21:52

Oh, that magical blocking that doesn't exist faith! Wink

TalkinPeace · 02/03/2018 21:52

bear
Indeed, because when I first encountered his posts I thought he was a 21 year old uneducated woman
his analytical skills were those of a 5 year old
I think even you agree that they have progressed a very long way in a short time
.... now we aim at the rest Grin

user1471450935 · 02/03/2018 21:53

Driven I am a reformed remainer
But that gives be a slight adavantage/disadvantage as I can see it from both sides
I you look at last thraed I said I thought we where heading for a EFTA type deal this morning. I have always accepted we are leaving and wanted to make it a success.
i also said I would happily accept a EFTA agreement
So deep down I.am probably one of the truely happy people in UK.
But todays speech is in such contrast to what the government has said for 20 months I am still baffled and alightly confused.

surferjet · 02/03/2018 21:57

YAy! Faiths unblocked Bear.
We can end the day happy.

Here’s to us all - leavers & remainers Wine
