What day do you think we are likely to go into lockdown if another one is introduced?

We have our wedding day on the 27th but I can't say it's looking too promising. Anybody know when they are planning on making an announcement?

@ninadust- lots of discussion about this tonight. No definite info at this stage about when we’ll here from the government next, but some guessing it maybe tomorow?
I really hope you get to go ahead with your wedding, I can imagine all the uncertainty is overshadowing the excitement at the mo 😞

Depends. Do you like having a police force and ambulances etc?

I'll be shocked too. Surely not? Compliance would be so poor I think.

Well I can only speculate

Many trains won't run on Boxing Day so perhaps they'll keep till 8pm on 27th to announce it? There will be MPs needing to get home after being elsewhere for xmas.

BUT I think it will be announced on Boxing Day for the 28th. It will be too late - there will be 1 million cases and circa 60,000 needing medical attention by then. Poor poor HCAs :(

Our booster programme might be a winner though ? Can but hope

Nobody knows yet ,I'm hoping not but.its clear cases. are going up, how this will affect hospital admission,s and deaths isn't clear

Good luck op, we postponed ours last summer.and got married this summer 2 days before restrictions lifted.

It's so stressful not k owing and having people drop out.

Have your venue discussed postponing with you? I'd be tempted to consider it so you can take control.

It’s going to be a circuit breaker, not a lockdown. We can’t afford another lockdown.

It's been brewing for weeks hasnt it?
Very cleverly orchestrated and people are already locking down on their own
It is on the cards now I feel , but just hope it's quick and doesn't drag on too long

The 27th and the 30th are being floated as possible dates.

Lockdown is not a definite and probably not a full one if it happens. Hopefully your wedding will go ahead but maybe with restricted numbers
