PileOfBooks · 06/09/2021 21:52

No.
Hth.

PopcornMuncher · 06/09/2021 21:52

I don't think so. But I think there will be some restrictions. We can't afford to shut down the country again.

SonnetForSpring · 06/09/2021 21:55

It depends on the hospital numbers I suppose. I wouldn't rule it out. There will definitely be some re-introduction of restrictions. I really hope schools stay open but I'm not hopeful at all.

wheresmymojo · 06/09/2021 21:55

I really don't believe so.

MirandaWest · 06/09/2021 21:55

No one knows.

TheKeatingFive · 06/09/2021 21:56

Will there be a thread on here every two weeks or so, asking if there’ll be another lockdown?

Undoubtedly

No fucker on here knows, that’s for sure.

icedcoffees · 06/09/2021 21:56

We can't afford a fourth lockdown.

BlancheB · 06/09/2021 21:56

No

WhenZoomWasJustAnIceLolly · 06/09/2021 21:58

I think so.
I hope not.
But probably.

MajorCarolDanvers · 06/09/2021 21:58

No

We need to live with this.

Metabigot · 06/09/2021 21:58

Don't think so no

MaxNormal · 06/09/2021 21:59

Rumours all over twitter today of a new lockdown in October so looks like the waters are being tested.

PurpleDaisies · 06/09/2021 21:59

There’s not going to be any appetite for it. It won’t happen.

Lipsandlashes · 06/09/2021 22:00

No. Next!

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 06/09/2021 22:00

According to the front pages of a couple of the papers tomorrow there will be a firebreak in October

MaxNormal · 06/09/2021 22:00

Firebreak lol. That'll go on till April '22 then.

Fubitch · 06/09/2021 22:02

Well if lockdowns are to protect the NHS, then it looks like we could be heading that way? Is it 500 new hospitalizations a week? I know it's up 500 since last week, and it's still summer. Did we get up to 30,000 hospitalizations before?

Christ almighty, vaccinate the fucking children!

What is wrong with this government.

nicky2512 · 06/09/2021 22:03

I really seriously hope not but I’m in Northern Ireland and we already have so many kids sent home from school as close contacts including my DS who only started back last Wednesday.
One secondary close to us has 400 out today which is more than half the school.
It’s horrible.

LawnFever · 06/09/2021 22:04

No, the economy can’t stand it and people won’t comply, I don’t think there will be

PicsInRed · 06/09/2021 22:04

@MaxNormal

Only 3 weeks to turn the tide, ok Boris 😂

It’s not the children going into hospital. There are masses adults still not vaccinated at this point.
DocAutumn · 06/09/2021 22:05

They can get to fuck with their lockdown!

I'm scheduled to start the November 19th thread think you've been pencilled in for the one after that.

I think the concern may be that the peak is flatter but prolonged. So can be worse in a way for NHS than having a higher peak and a lockdown to reduce it.
