In my area in Surrey, we are still doing 56 to 59 and group 6 with existing conditions. I am 59 and managed to book mine for next week, friends aged 56 are not eligible yet.

StarcourtMall · 10/03/2021 07:33

My GP is on group 6 still, but obviously over 55s can book online for the big hubs nearby, so no 40s being done around here (East Sussex)

Onedaysomedaynowadays · 10/03/2021 07:34

My friends in their 40s have been called - outer London borough.
Another friend and her husband have been called, they're in their 30s - inner London borough

daisypond · 10/03/2021 07:35

All 55s and up have been eligible now for a couple of days on the NHS website

Do you know that they have been called on basis of age only though?

I'd be surprised if the ones in their 30s don't also meet one of the other eligibility criteria.

LacyEdge · 10/03/2021 11:50

Friends of mine in their late 40s were called a couple of weeks ago, in Hampshire. Haven’t heard of any round here though. Hopefully later this month, according to official estimates.

emmathedilemma · 10/03/2021 11:57

That's only in England @daisypond still on group 6 here and will be for some weeks from what I've read.
I saw a post from Orkney yesterday and they're basically doing an age group a day next week with hourly timeslots to turn up for your vaccine based on surname alphabetically. They were going down to age 42. I am not at all jealous

Suzi888 · 10/03/2021 11:58

Work colleagues have- aged in their late 30’s and mid 40’s. Wales.

Feraltomcat · 10/03/2021 12:02

I'm 39 and got invited to book by gp yesterday, DH too and he's 38. No other conditions, healthy weight. We're in West Yorkshire

3kidsandafewcats · 10/03/2021 12:17

Our local area East Midlands is still on group 6 and has been closed as we have no vaccines and there will be only appointments next Monday and Tuesday. We have been told that the large hubs are being prioritised.

cantkeepgoing · 10/03/2021 12:23

Yes me, 42 in lancs

nordica · 10/03/2021 12:24

Some of my friends in their 30s and 40s have been and they haven't been aware of being considered CV/CEV (and not health workers or carers) - I think for some of them it's because of their high BMI though...

Apparently my area in outer London in ahead of national speed but nothing has been said officially of course.

minniemoocher · 10/03/2021 12:26

It's 55+ nationally. My gp is behind the national roll out so dp had to book at the nearest big centre. Gp is still going through the group 6 people, though several friends have been called for vaccine really young and it turned out to be incorrect medical records (typically the weight and height)

LookToTreblesGoingTreblesGone · 10/03/2021 12:28

Students at Bristol University are apparently being called now.

SlayDuggee · 10/03/2021 12:44

I’m in my 40’s and I’ve heard nothing yet. I’m in Devon.

Pastanred · 10/03/2021 12:52

Cantkeep

Where in lancs please as I’m mid 40 s and not called unless you’re in vulnerable group?

Pastanred · 10/03/2021 12:53

ACtually. Thinking about it - gps aren’t dealing with normal vaccines are they - thought only vulnerable groups so anyone getting a phone call must be vulnerable surely? Most by age are just booking direct online aren’t they

cantkeepgoing · 10/03/2021 13:16

@Pastanred dm me if you want

Potentialscrooge · 10/03/2021 13:17

Husband been called, 37 and because of age not group 6. Just outside of London.

maxineputyourredshoeson · 10/03/2021 13:21

I received a text yesterday I’m 41 and although I do have health issues none that put me up the list. I’m in Oxfordshire.

maxineputyourredshoeson · 10/03/2021 13:22

Sorry pressed send too soon DH 43 unpaid carer can’t book his yet.

Kiehl · 10/03/2021 13:23

I'm 37 and been called and getting it next week I do have health issues but not serious enough to be shielding. I have inflammatory bowel disease and endometriosis but healthy weight, BMI 21 or 22. I was in hospital for a week due to my bowel last year so maybe they look at this history and if you've been in hospital for a while within the year this bumps you up the queue? Would be interesting to know If this makes a difference. I'm shocked but happy.
My husband is 45 hasn't been called up.
We're in the south cambs

APurpleSquirrel · 10/03/2021 13:25

I think our local area (Somerset) is still on Group 6 but I've received the text today (am 41) have very mild asthma but do get the flu jab so not sure! Just happy to be getting it this weekend. DH (40, no health problems) hasn't been invited yet.

middleager · 10/03/2021 13:35

I'm 48 but think it'll be a while here in the West Mids, as friend, 59 is only getting his today.

Meanwhile, kids are back at secondary school in areas with high volume of cases.

Itsagrandoldteam · 10/03/2021 13:36

I know a 40 year old who says he has no medical conditions, that has been vaccinated in Wolverhampton. This was over 2 weeks ago, part of me wonders if he has a medical problem that he doesn't want anyone to know about.
