So daft but for me.....IKEA.

I want the familiarity of being corralled around the warehouse, picking up some tea lights and sandwich bags and some meatballs.

I miss IKEA.

Charity shops. I miss a good rummage and finding a bargain.

mrstea301 · 12/02/2021 09:03

A bookshop! I literally don't need any books but I miss so much having a good look about!!

oohmama · 12/02/2021 09:04

IKEA, primark and Zara ...

And of course charity shops 😍

I had a dream about shopping in Zara last night 😭😭😭

Sidewalksue · 12/02/2021 09:04

I’m desperate to go to ikea. It will feel like a holiday going there.
I also want to go to the charity shop and primark. I’m not a primark fan but I can’t find DD any PJs she likes from anywhere else

LeonoraFlorence · 12/02/2021 09:05

Love IKEA too. My DDs enjoy an afternoon there. I would often take DD1 a drive up there as a toddler. Would fill a few hours during the week on a rainy day and we would visit the cafe afterwards. We’d always come home with so much we didn’t know we needed. I have a few more DDs now so it isn’t as easy as popping them all in the car and going alone, though I have done it before Smile.

borntohula · 12/02/2021 09:06

I wanna go to Zara.

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 12/02/2021 09:06

Primark pjs are wonderful!

I need to replace all my knickers and add some more pjs to my collection so I'll do Primark on my way to IKEA.

Primark 😂 I buy my essentials from Primark, underwear, PJ’s, leggings, joggers as I hate paying more than I need for stuff I mostly wear in the house or no-one sees!

I can’t wait for a little shopping trip to Leeds. I don’t do it often as I have two kids but a couple times a year, I like to go have a browse & buy a few new bits for summer/winter!

LadyCatStark · 12/02/2021 09:07

Primark Blush sorry but I am! I need to stock up on essentials like Pyjamas and socks without spending a fortune.

Ragwort · 12/02/2021 09:08

As a charity shop manager I am pleased to hear how many of you are missing charity shops Smile, I can't wait to get back and open my shop ... and I am sure we will have lots of lovely donations. I am already getting people dropping things at my house, my garage is full. I even had someone track me down and ask to 'reserve' something that is in the window of my shop, of course I was happy to do so - I live in a small town where nearly everyone knows everyone !

NewYearHere20 · 12/02/2021 09:08

I'm also looking forward to Charity/junk shops re-opening.

I think I'm going to be stuck for clothes shopping. I used to like Oasis, Warehouse and occasional Top shop. They're all obviously closed now - don't like shopping for clothes on-line personally. I think I'll have to branch out and find somewhere new.

DontGoIntoTheLongGrass · 12/02/2021 09:09

IKEA yes. Like a pp said though you end up leaving with so much stuff you didn't know you needed. Like leaving with a bargain next desk but nowhere to put it Grin

ihearttc · 12/02/2021 09:09

Primark!

Hollyhead · 12/02/2021 09:10

John Lewis, charity shops, some smaller independents in my town, Tiger, H&M, Oliver Bonas. Can't WAIT! All punctuated with at least one coffee and cake stop somewhere lovely :D

LApprentiSorcier · 12/02/2021 09:11

Another who can't wait to mooch round the charity shops again.

Rosehip10 · 12/02/2021 09:13

C&A's

Iwantacookie · 12/02/2021 09:13

Charity shops, primark, sports direct, peacocks.
Tbf I'm most looking forward to sitting down in a cafe for coffee and cake in the middle of a shopping spree

PurpleDaisies · 12/02/2021 09:13

I need new running trainers and I really want to try them on before buying.

Other than that, bookshops.
And coffee shops to sit in and read books.

Freshprincess · 12/02/2021 09:13

Me too on Ikea.
I bought a wardrobe before Christmas online but wanted to go to the store to see the drawer inserts combinations in real life. Now I’ve got piles of stuff everywhere which is taking the shine off my new bedroom furniture.

To be honest, Anywhere other than Tesco or Aldi would be a good day out at the moment.

SnowyBranches · 12/02/2021 09:14

Fenwick’s. I like wafting around there.
Also the garden centre. I know you can, but it doesn’t seem in the spirit, since I would have to drive there and I don’t really want anything, just want to have a nose around.
I would have said clothes shops once we can try clothes on again, but I have put on so much weight I am horrified by the thought.

AllMyPrettyOnes · 12/02/2021 09:15

Charity shops for sure

BakewellGin1 · 12/02/2021 09:16

Primark.. I need essentials such as pants, socks, pj's, slippers and fingers crossed some nice sandals and jeans Grin
I requested a gift voucher for Primark as a present around Christmas time as it will get all the bits I need but dont particularly like spending on

Isolatedizzy · 12/02/2021 09:16

John Lewis! I want to sit in the cafe for coffee and cake! I have stamping my foot like a toddler this week because I'm so desperate to go!

Bedforme · 12/02/2021 09:20

John Lewis, book shops, even M&S. oh and coffee or tea and cake. IKEA as well.

I would have had others but they are disappearing- like Mantray and Maine (Debenhams) but I’m sure it will be busy due to selling off stock and really hard for the staff working.

Downriver · 12/02/2021 09:23

charity shops - yes!.......I just love the unpredictable. Some IKEA desserts would be nice - plus Lachs - but it is so far to get to and no good public transport anyway.
