BBC will move things around or possibly the time will fit in with the rugby, it's last minute! There conversations yesterday has been leaked so they had to bring forward it seems.

I hope that doesn't mean starting on Monday instead of on Wednesday, but I bet it does. Or at least Tuesday. :(

Apparently they are holding the cabinet meeting now. Number 10 very angry that there was a leak. Makes it sound, to me, that they have not absolutely agreed or decided on at least the details.

He won’t say anything new. He’ll say things are bad, getting worse in places, comply to save Xmas, considering further restrictions, schools stay open, work from home, wear a mask piffle waffle piffle waffle.
Then he’ll be forced to come out again mid week and say national lockdown from next weekend.
I won’t be watching.

On a Saturday, well that’s surprised me. Is he just going to announce the lockdown early or try and blag us all and say this so called leak is inaccurate.

Suspect it's a national lockdown. Dismal news all round.

The Coronavirus Act still allows them to act unilaterally and debate later in the case of emergency. IIRC, this was agreed on the proviso that it would be courteous to ensure debate happened beforehand wherever possible.

If they announce today, before parliament sits, no doubt the government will get a roasting from the speaker, but what does it change? They still have the right to do it...
