Why can't he just answer a question straight?
And also if you have children did he just suggest you tell your employer and stay home? That is not going to go down well!

Yep Vera I agree.

That pretty much sums it up Vera. Both his big fan girls - Allison Pearson and Camilla Tominey - put the boot in today. If he’s lost them, he’s pretty much done.

Backbenchers being more open about their disquiet, even ministers briefing to journalists about annoyance with the way things are being done. I doubt BJ actually likes being PM very much anyway. I don't think he'll last the term.

But ... it is the cult of his 'personality', that won over the red wall voters - someone else (Gove) may not retain that support. Although, I suppose Major and Cameron (in '15) won decently enough without those voters, and that's when the Lib Dems had a lot of what are now Tory seats, so maybe it doesn't matter all that much if the Tories lose the north.

It was primarily Brexit that won over those red wall voters. That and their feeling that the Labour Party had abandoned them. The issues next time will all be about the state of the economy and how well the after effects of Covid and Brexit have been handled.

Even his old mag the Speccie sharpens the knives. Time to go Johnson and spend more time with your many families.

Wow, the Spectator really going for him there!Shock

They even said that "Boris denied what official guidance said there in black and white" when talking about today's spat in PMQs .

Nice review in the Guardian

www.theguardian.com/politics/2020/may/13/boris-johnson-resorts-to-bluster-under-keir-starmer-cross-examination

"Give it time and Boris may well cut to the chase and just plead guilty in advance to save him the torture of answering six questions, but we’re not there yet, so Starmer opened his folder and asked the court to consider Exhibit A."

The PM always does his engagements
Then there are 6 questions from the Leader of the Opposition

Then some sychophantic questions asking if the PM agrees that the Government are doing a great job
