If a school shooter was hiding out In a classroom, when would it ever be morally accepted to bomb the entire school?

They wouldn't need to bomb if it was in Tel Aviv as they know the streets there. There aren't any tunnels to take into consideration. No booby traps to avoid.

I really wish people would stop pretending this is a straightforward and simple war. Comments like this show that people really don't understand what Israel is up against, the complexities of it all.

Well if this does turn into a wider war and another country launches an air attack on Israel then they will likely bomb Tel Aviv because that's where the IDF HQ is, that would make it a legitimate military target.

i think we all know the answer here but you will never hear the pro Israeli people answer it.

Israeli lives are worth more. They know it not only from what is happening in Gaza, it’s what they have been conditioned to believe from what Israel does in the West Bank as well. Their lives are just more valuable, you can’t waste them the same way. Their children are more precious, why can’t the world just accept that .

And I'm saying it wouldn't ever come up. It's very unique to Gaza specifically. It's the only place I know of anyway with secret tunnels under cities.

@Humdingerydoo If Gaza wasn't put under a 16-year siege (with a blockade from air, land and sea) there would have been no need to build tunnels.

After checking the international laws regarding warfare, it doesn’t say that it’s ok to bomb civilian infrastructure and cause thousands of civilian deaths if you don’t have the blueprints of the buildings in a war zone. It seems an odd exception to think applies to international law as in most armed conflicts no one has blueprints and yet they are expected to minimise civilian casualties.

How many civilians were killed during the "shock and awe" bombing of Iraq over weapons of mass destruction?

They would do that here as well if they could do it in time to prevent a plane crashing in a highly populated area.

I honestly don't know what to believe about the news coming out of Gaza.

They could bomb Tel Aviv indiscriminately but the Israelis would evacuate the civilian population first because they don’t use them as human shields. Over 200,000 Israelis in Southern Israel have already been evacuated/displaced to escape constant Hamas and Hezbollah rocket fire and possible border attacks.

The Ashkelon Hospital in Southern Israel has been hit by rocket fire from Gaza at least twice and some of the 10,000 Hamas rockets fired since Oct 7 have got through the Iron Dome and hit Tel Aviv and other targets. Maybe soon you’ll all get your most fervent wish for more dead and injured Israelis.

Could you explain how you know this? Have you ever been to Israel? Or to Palestine? Heard large groups of Israelis say this?

Israel’s current ~10,000 civilian deaths per month kill rate, is 4x higher than the worst year of US civilian deaths in Iraq which was ~30,000 over 12 months. It’s partly because of so many children being killed in Gaza.

Israel's iron dome interceptor has reportedly malfunctioned. The missiles have been seen to be doing U-turns and hitting houses and hospitals in Tel Aviv
