For anyone old and new trying to conceive their first child. Lovely friendly ladies with a penchant for acronyms, charts and unsuitable snacks await your arrival with open arms. Here's the blatantly copied and pasted List from the last thread. If anything's wrong, I absolve myself of any responsibility!

haloflo sorry to hear ERTD has shown up. Copious amounts of booze for you this evening!

Right here we go with today's Royal Ascot selections, I had 2 winners and a place yesterday so just about scrapped a profit!

2.30 Quarrel

3.05 Spacious and Super Sleuth

3.50 Cavalryman

4.25 a very tough race so I stuck a pin in and came up with Harald Bluetooth!

5.00 Maqaasid and Primo Lady, a horse called Dress Up also runs and I expect the Ascot crowd will back her due to her name!

5.35 Miss Mittagong

Good luck if you do have a bet, just remember not to take it to seriously!

Bellaby how did you get on with your bets yesterday?!

felicityFlick · 16/06/2010 07:32

Well done cave on your tips I agree with what wise aries has said to you re. your dh's situation. Sounds so cliche but I think, as we have all said before, that there is never a perfect time to have a baby so when we think we want one we need to just go for it and everything will work it'self out because it has to. Thats what I tell myself when I worry about having a baby away from home and in less than ideal cicrcumstances. I always make myself not let my imagination run away with me and try to focus on the here and now, e.g actually getting pregnant, as opposed to worrying about coping with a baby away from home, will I go back to work, will we cope with money, etc. etc.

Great job aries on the new thread- loving the new spelling of our mate AGGY Btw, could you not take your temperature at 5.45 when your cat comes in everyday before you get up and feed her? That's if you do want to go down the charting route of course! I think you might love it

flo did the doctors say anything about your cycle being a bit strange or did they say it should go back to normal? I guess it is just one of those things that depends on the person maybe? Don't give up hope yet, I can imagine how horribly frustrating this must be for you to be in limbo like this on your behalf!

Now, the list! I was going to post it and add kurly but I couldn't see where/if anyone had said where we would cut the list? I know it was decided that we would post recent grads but I wasn't sure what was 'recent'. I was thinking maybe the BFP's from May onwards?

Good luck at the docs today kaloki let us know how you get on xx

Sorry, I know I haven't caught up with everyone but have only looked at the posts on this shiny new thread so sorry to the posts I missed at the old one.

felicityFlick · 16/06/2010 07:35

Oh rubbish flo sorry, crossed posts with you. What crap news but at least you have a treat to look forward to this eve. The bright side to this is that hopefully we can graduate together Sorry, bit of a rubbish consolation I know xxxx

zippys- did I get you right? Had a quick flick back and saw ERTD was approaching/arrived? Sorry to hear that xx

zippys · 16/06/2010 08:16

Morning ladies,

Flick you are correct thanks for that, I had come on to update it but you have saved me a job

Haloflo sorry to hear of arrival of ERTD, you can join me with copious amounts of choccie!! I hope you enjoy Greenday.

I have hit another bad patch, its weird ERTD arriving early has really hit me hard this month. Its weird as I didnt think I was actually going to get a BFP this month but for some reason its early arrival has thrown me. I havent got any cramps which I would usually have by now. I had held a glim hope that it would be implantation but thats not the case. So many crappy things are going through my head. Why me, why cant I get pregnant when I have been broody since I was 17!!

Oh and I still havent got my ring - DP wants to surprise me but I just cant forgot about it, and hoping when I can get wedding planning I may stop thinking quite so much about TTC.

Anyway I will keep my depressive thought to myself and slunk off to do some work. Sorry for the me me me post.

O

zippys · 16/06/2010 08:26

Just wanted to add that Fudge has had some bad news over on the grads thread. I thought you would all want to know

Kaloki · 16/06/2010 10:48

Whoever updates next, could you change my UCL to 32? Just looked through the last 6 months, I seem to be settled around the 32 mark, except for this month of course.

Ariesgirl · 16/06/2010 11:35

Sorry to hear of ERTD's premature arrival zips. It's almost like it knows isn't it, how to kick you while you're down?

Flick, that's a sensible suggestion re taking the temp while getting up to feed the cat. This will sound stupid, selfish and immature, but at the moment I'm able to stumble down the stairs, feed the little madam and then go back to sleep again. If I have to take temp and record it, then that's me awake for the day. At 5.45 . I'll have to come round to the idea eventually I suspect, and I also know that Time Is Not On My Side.

Sounds like ominous news on the Grads thread. Poor old Fudge.

OP posts:
felicityFlick · 16/06/2010 11:53

Hi aries, the thermometer I have (this one )stores your temp so when you turn it on the next time your temp flashes up and you can record it then. I do mine at 6.15 even on the weekend. Alarm goes off, shove thermometer in my mouth ( I keep it under my pillow) it beeps when it's done. turn it off and shove back under pillow and back to sleep. I don't even think about it again until I have woken up and then record it then. I sound like I am trying to brain wash you

zippys · 16/06/2010 12:30

OK, I know what you are all about to say BUT do you think I coul be having implantation bleeding?

I had a little blood last night when I wiped (brown) then a little pink blood after so put on a pad for overnight but hardly only bled a tiny amount over night. Now only have bleeding when I wipe and at that pink not red as normal.

I know I am sending myself crazy obsessing like this as it not that unusual for a slow start to the ERTD but its just because its early and based on a normal cycle I am only 10po (usually 14 day LP).

Now please all shout at me that I am been crazy, stupid, unhinged, obsessed etc and tell me to stop googling implanation and accept that I just a bag hag!!!!

zippys · 16/06/2010 12:32

or barren hag even See cant get pregnant and cant type!!!

felicityFlick · 16/06/2010 13:03

zippys you bag hag ...Don't want to get your hopes up but look here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WhiteRoses · 16/06/2010 13:16

Hi everyone,

Just popping in to say hello on the new thread! There are so many new people! Anyway, wishing you all the best of luck, whatever stage you're at.

Zippys - just a quick question for you, cause I've been struggling to keep up a bit, but how are you? With the sickness and everything? What's the latest? (As for the bleeding, I'll keep my fingers tightly crossed for you, but will try and not encourage you - except to say that I put my implantation bleed (one day) down to my period starting, hence the total shock when I got my BFP!)

Oh, and I'm fine - today marks the beginning of the third trimester, so I'm on the home stretch at long last! Hope to see you all over on the Graduates thread soon. xxx

pixiestix · 16/06/2010 13:19

Zippys - I don't want to get your hopes up uneccesarily but that sounds very promising. I have everything crossed for you.

And just to mess with your mind even further, I got my BFP 11 days past ovulation, so you could try a test tomorrow morning?

Argh, I feel all nervous for you.

superpenguin · 16/06/2010 13:59

Gosh, I go away for a mere inkling of a moment and a whole new thread is upon us!
I wonder how long this one will last..

Thank you to Aries for spectacularly entitling our merry clan.

and good call everyone on having the big long list at the top and a shortened daily list. still a mega long list but that's just cos there are so many of us!

I wonder who will be the first BPF on our shiny new thread...
place your bets now... the odds are good!
(did you like my tenuous link to earlier betting-related posts?)

Kaloki · 16/06/2010 14:03

Ooh WhiteRoses, I was thinking about you this morning! Good to hear from you!

Keeping my fingers crossed for you zippys!

Just got back from the doctors (2 hours in a waiting room!!!) and the GP has given me a homeopathic remedy to try and rebalance my body. Couldn't care less if it's a placebo, as long as it has an effect.

We're also going to try and take me off anti depressants so that if I do get pregnant we wont have to worry about how the anti depressants affect the baby.

zippys · 16/06/2010 14:16

oh you lot are just making me worse

I so want it be implanation but trying not to get my hopes up. Its lovely Pixie and White that you have come back to post. I feel all special now.

I think I will leave it till the weekend, by then I should know if it is actually ERTD with a slow start.

Regarding sickness it had got loads better and had a few days of being ok, but these last few days I have been feeling sick again and felt queasy on and off all day the last few days (again trying not to read too muvh into that!!) Have more consultant appointments booked for July and August!

Flick - I think i may actually want to be a bag hag now! That link has made me obsess more

Penguin lets hope this is a lucky thread - ps I got your joke

Kaloki glad to see at least something is happening, I know what you mean re placebo. I hope it goes well coming off the meds, just try not to put too much pressure on yourself. But you know where we are when you need us!

I think

kkas · 16/06/2010 14:19

just popping in to say hi and thanks to aries for the new thread!

kaloki hope the new treatments help you to feel your best and achieve that bfp!

zippys fingers firmly crossed for you! it is definitely your turn!!!

been MIA for a while but still lurking. there is a prospect of a new job on the horizon for me, so TTC has taken a bit of a backseat as would love this new job, if i get an offer! i've got two more interviews at the end of this week and then hopefully i'll know whether they want to offer me the job, but so far it's looking good, i think. it's all come at a weird time though, because i'm also just coming up to two years at my current firm, and i would be entitled to a really good maternity leave package... but after trying for nearly a year, who knows when i'll get pg and i can't completely keep my life on hold and stay in a job that i'm not entirely happy with indefinitely. so we'll see. guess i have to wait and see whether i even get offered the new job and then have a serious discussion with DH to decide.

superpenguin · 16/06/2010 14:39

well now I'm all settled in to new thread here is an update.

Saoralba - it looks like we are just a few days apart from each other so I will join you now going into the first 2ww of cycle 1.
oh yes.
SWI on holiday is so much better!

Saoralba - I am also very impressed with your budgeting skills!
I'm not even going to attempt to work out what I would earn when on maternity leave yet

zippys and haloflo - sorry to hear of ERTD arrival / confusing cycles.
flo - have a great time at Green Day!

salty at your latest symptom!

cavemum as others have said, there is never an ideal time to have a baby, but best wishes and good luck with whatever you decided to do.

alien hello! hope all ok with your mirena-removal

almost yes please to the elderflower presse - yum.

here is a question - has anyone tried the lutenising (not sure of spelling?)-hormone POAS ovulation testing thingys? any good?

(TMI alert in advance of this para!)
I might give them a try next month as no idea when I OV. i've had EWCM every day from CD12-17 so far - is that normal? sorry for TMI!
Have SWI on days 7,8,9,10,11,12,14 &15 though just in case! If I don't get pg I'm going to regret taking days 13 and 16 off...
lol
DH & I better SWI tonight just in case of late ov I reckon!

also, whoever updates next can you add an extra extra day to me please, am on CD17 today not 16. ta x

phew, what a long post.

Ariesgirl · 16/06/2010 15:17

Baghag (tee hee), that sounds quite promising to this particular amateur.

OP posts:
mumnerves · 16/06/2010 19:16

Lovely new thread ladies and loving ERTM

Hope everyone is doing well and good luck to everyone testing this week. zippys keeping fingers crossed.
halo sorry to hear about ERTM so here's some wine that I hope you'll enjoy for me!

cherrycobbler · 16/06/2010 20:04

oooh aries thanks for the new thread, love what you've done with the place!

Boo for ERTD flo, what a rollercoaster this month must have been for you. Have a very large glass of wine.

Zippys - argh, I am going to keep everything crossed for you because frankly sounds v promising. I am rubbish at not getting my hopes up, and am crushed every time ERTD comes anyway so you may as well feel all openly positive! Er, not quite sure that came out the way I meant it - so key message, have fingers crossed and don't think you're crazy to hope!

Hello to everyone else, particularly those on their first 2ww - here's to beginner's luck!

Cavemum - just caught up with your news - such rubbish news. And almost worse that its not definite as there's that glimmer of maybe. I echo what others said about bonding - I really think that once he sees Cavebaby he will immediately bond with it. Think men don't find the whole antenatal thing as bonding as women do either, so its all about having the real baby there.

Long, nonsensical post - I best go off have some food.

saltyair · 16/06/2010 20:07

Hello ladies.
I need someone to slap me round the face and tell me to GIVE IT UP for this month.

I am confused -

My period came very early and very light. Then stopped. then began again with cramps and many normal period symptoms, except for being extremely light. Like, one small tampon not being very 'full' a day, petering out altogether etc.

Now this is very unusual for me, I have very regular periods which follow the same pattern (not that this has helped in the getting up of the duff!).Usually very heavy for the middle 2/3 days

My question - have I just had a very light period or.......says very quickly should I do a test just in case

Told you i was going mental. tis just so unlike what normally happens...oh god..could be an early menopause I s'pose....
