Woohoo - peak on the monitor this morning!

Question for anyone who's used it before do I put ov as today or tomorrow?? Temp was also up this morning by about 0.3c which I didn't think would be until tomorro??

Oh and good morning!

Muser · 18/06/2010 11:01

Congrats to salty, nice to see the thread start with a BFP. Hope you have a very dull 9 months with a lovely baybee at the end.

luckyseven · 18/06/2010 11:25

mrsw woo hoo! do you use fertility friend as it will be a couple of days before it confirms ov but i would put the first day of peak down as ov but swi tom as well to be sure!

haloflo · 18/06/2010 15:46

Hello all

felicity Poor you not feeling well. At least its nearly the weekend. Are you doing anything exciting for tonight's match or are you not up to it? To answer your earlier Q's about spotting and this cycle. The doc said that I would ov later - which I did- but nothing about a weird ETRD which it has been (only heavyish Wednesday - now I'm on the home straight) Best not to dwell on it now I've decided. Also it was more consolation that you think that we could graduate together. I will not go alone! When's your ERTD? Can I start a countdown?

mrswajs Welcome back. I missed you too! Sorry that you aren't on peak yet but hopefully it's just around the corner. Sounds like you got plenty of PSF action in anyway The karaoke sounds hilarious. Are you a good singer or just an enthusiastic one? Also I conceived on the Day 1 Peak on the CBFM and it was the same day I ov'ed. Good luck!

salty Congrats! I wish you all the best for your pregnancy.

Welcome bobby12 I hope your stay is short and short. So sorry about your mc. I experienced the same thing in May and found it hard so if you ever want to let off steam/tears on this thread go for it.
Otherwise if you want to focus on the future let's hope that the fertility boost rumours are true.

Welcome miffles sorry to hear about PCOS. I really hope it happens for you soon anyway. The start of fertility investigations has been a lucky time for some past frolickers.

super Wow good SWI work! Your egg is going to have nowhere to hide. I hope the 2ww goes fast and ends well for you.

zippys Positive vibes being sent your way right now. I think if you are late or ERTD is due then a BFP would be detected at any time of day I reckon so don't worry about FMU unless you want to wait until Sunday. We will be here for you whatever the result.

kkas Best of luck with the job interviews - what is it you do? Let us know how you get on.

Muser Sorry about BFN. When's ERTD due? You still never know, it could be too soon.

And thanks all for the wine & chocolate after the arrival of ERTD. I needed it. Feel like I'm coming out the other side now though and ready to move onto the next cycle. I'm a little unsure if we will go ahead with it at the moment as I kind of fancy a month off to focus on me. I have the race of life coming up (anyone else doing it) and want to get more running in. I went last night, just for a short run, and loved it.

I want to shift a bit of weight, maybe half a stone in the short term, more in the longer term and TTC really distracts from that for me. Not good! We will see though as I've said this before and gone ahead and SWI anyway!

By the way I'm on the list twice - could someone remove me from not counting days tomorrow. I'll try and do it if i'm up early enough.

haloflo · 18/06/2010 15:47

Race For Life, not Race of Life. Getting confused with a certain board game I think. Oops.

Muser · 18/06/2010 15:53

I am due Saturday, but think I may have ovulated day 18 this month, in which case it'd be more like Tuesday. I wait.

MrsWajs · 18/06/2010 18:23

Halo you must have missed my later post - first peak showed today!! And for the first time in a while I actually feel as though I'm ovulating! Had plenty (TMI) EWCM today too which is unusual for me!
Have SWI'd already and plan on it again later ooh I'm all excited as opposed to stressed about it for once, holiday has done me the world of good!
As for the karaoke - I used to think I was ok at singing, but it would appear, only at certain songs!! Oh well never mind the whole point of being on holiday is to get druk and silly - no-one knows you anyway!! Glad you're through the worst of ERTD now and good luck with your Race for Life, I did it once and felt crap for days afterwards!! Clearly not enough preparation had gone into it!

Lucky Yes I am now on fertility friend - quite like it actually as it determines ov for you. I'm excited for it to give me the good news this month! How are things coming along for you?

saltyair · 18/06/2010 18:59

Hello all - thank you for all your lovely thoughts.

It seems, somewhat disappointingly, that one is still expected to work really bloody hard, despite being a touch excited and nauseous.

Fingers crossed Muserama

luckyseven · 18/06/2010 19:06

hey mrsw like halo i conceived on peak one. All great with me had my scan and they have given me the hilarious due date of christmas eve! And to think i was trying to convince dh to take a break as i had worked out it would be a christmas baby, so glad he talked me out of that crazy whim' Pulling through the extreme tiredness and should get a bump in the next week or so! Good luck and don t use any more sticks as the monitor will auto give you a second peak and one high. Halo every time i post to you i have beyonce halo in my head for ages!

zippys · 18/06/2010 19:17

Done test and BFN

Sad here alone as DP is out for the night sobbbing, dont know how much longer I can do this for

kkas · 18/06/2010 19:33

lucky i also sing beyonce when i see halo's name!

halo thanks for the good wishes. i am a lawyer but am thinking of moving in house. my interview went really well today and although, technically i haven't yet been offered the job, today it was sounding more like the question was merely timing and getting the position approved by senior management. so i guess we'll see! looks like i can get more money for better hours and no more timesheets or marketing! and a better commute. methinks it's a no brainer so i think TTC is probaby going to go on the back burner at least until christmas so i can get through my notice period and any probationary period they have. but overall it would mean a better lifestyle for me and a baby so i guess it's worth the sacrifice since it's only a temporary hiatus! that said - i'm sure i'll stick around this thread because i am too addicted to stop!

kkas · 18/06/2010 19:34

xpost zippys so so so so so sorry

Ariesgirl · 18/06/2010 19:37

Zippys my flower, I'm so sorry. Hate to think of you there all alone and crying. Is there a friend you can ring or something? I know how hard it is to tell them though. Keep posting if you're feeling awful and someone will answer you.

OP posts:
Kaloki · 18/06/2010 19:42

Oh zippys Wish I could be there to give you a big hug! I'll send you virtual ones instead!

zippys · 18/06/2010 19:42

Thank you I dont want to call anyone as they dont really know I am trying and I dont think anyone will understand (not like you guys)

I know I will feel better in the morning but right now I just feel like it will never happen. Just want to eat chocolate and drink but on a diet and will be more depressed tomorrow if I break it and put on weight.

Muser · 18/06/2010 19:42

Oh zippys you poor love. Hope there's someone there who can care for you. If not post here and we'll do it.

zippys · 18/06/2010 19:47

I just feel like my whole life has been centered in having children. I have worked so bloody hard at my career to get to partner level at my age so I could still have children and have a career to go back to.

But the one thing I hadnt even thought of was the fact that falling pregnant would not so easy.

It just feel like the last 14 months of trying has hit me at once. As you all know TTC is so draining and I think with my illness I am just running out of fight.

mumnerves · 18/06/2010 19:51

zippys so sorry about the BFN Hope you manage to get some chocolate and wine down you as comfort. I still say as bad as my MS was there was nothing worse that the 2ww, esp a 2ww ending with a BFN, so big big hugs for you hun! x

salty congrats on BFP

womanlytales · 18/06/2010 20:18

Mrswajs Welcome back - we missed you here. Hope you had a good holiday and congrats on the peak - fingers crossed for you this month.
salty Congrats on BFP.
Halo I am doing the race for life from hammersmith - though I wont be running even if I could just about manage that...LOL Need to lose weight too though am not really doing as well sticking to sensible eating.
zippys Terribly sorry for your bfn - plenty of chocolate and wine and whatever else you need to feeling better again.
muser fingers crossed for you.

CaveMum · 18/06/2010 21:03

zippys so sorry to hear about the negative test. We're all here for you if you want to cry/scream etc.

(((((hugs)))))

luckyseven · 18/06/2010 21:35

zippys so sorry about your result. Gutted and frustrated for you. Not sure what your job is but does it allow you much free time? My dh works crazy hours in a consultancy and you say you are a partner. Have you thought of taking up a new project like zumba or tennis lessons or learn a language. I am sure your work is stressful as is ttc but maybe you can find some light relief. Have a good cry and let it out it will help and maybe nip to the shop and get a calorie free magazine to pass the time til your man is home or julie and julia is a great wee film to watch on your own although it is about food. Big hug.

Oh zippys you poor love I was so sad to log on and see your post this morning when I woke up. I'm so pleased that the other girls were around to keep you company whilst I was snoring away (bloody time difference!)I don't know what to say to make you feel any better, everything sounds so crap and cliche, but please know that we are all here for you whenever you want to vent. When your little one comes along he/she will have a very successful and organised mummy and will be so lucky to have someone who has worked as hard as you have to give them the very best start in life. In practical advice, do you temp or use a CBFM? I know that these are not always much use if your cycle is regular and you are sure of when you ovulate etc but I know that temperature charting has really helped me feel like I am doing something to try and take control you see what I mean? Is your appointment with the fertility people this week, I can't remember although Wednesday is ringing a bell for some reason? Hope you're feeling better this morning and your DP was a comfort to you when he got home.

kkas I think what you said about being able to have a better life style for you and your baby is very true Having waited 4 month due to insurance reasons (sounds so crap!) and going for a promotion I am with you there and look at me, still hanging around here like a bad smell! The time hasn't gone too slowly actually and what is a couple of months in the big scheme of life?!

flo My ERTD is due on 29th June so we are in the ten day countdown now! Yipeeee! I think taking a month out to focus on yourself sounds like a really good idea, especially seeing as it's the summer and there are always so many bbq's and social events I find over the summer so you would have lots of fun things that you could before you got back on the ttc wagon again Glad you enjoyed your run- well done you! I didn't do anything for the match last night, DH came home from a night out at about 1.30am pretty drunk and was going to go back out to watch the game in the pub down the road. I ummmed and ahhhaed about whether I should get up and go but in the end decided not to as I had a hairdressers appointment this morn and knew I needed to be up early and am very glad now too! I will def watch the game on Wednesday as it is on earlier (and Weds is the last day of school!) so if England win you will know it is because I am watching and clearly i am very lucky ;)

Yay for your peak MrsW!! Did the second one come today as predicted? I'm so excited for you and crossing fingers that this is your month.

lucky Christmas eve! What an exciting time to have a baby! I love Christmas SO much, I even had a Christmas wedding as it is my very favourite time of year This Christmas will be your most special one ever I'm sure. Glad all is going well for you and thanks for coming back to see us. I can't wait to start using my CBFM after ERTD.

Hope the ERTD is staying away muser and that your symptoms are developing nicely.

Welcome bobby

Hi to aries, cave, womanly and saoralba- sorry I can't reply to you all my computer is being an arse and won't scroll so I can't see very much above this!

Hope you all have a nice day, will pop back later on xx

zippys · 19/06/2010 10:26

Just a quick post from my phone - thank you so so so much for the support last night, i really needed it. I am pleased to say that I left the chocolate alone and have now lost 1st 5lbs ERTD arrived with vengence this morning (maybe I should have waited till this morning to test!) along with horrible cramps. BUT I am feeling a lot more positive, I have guests coming for the weekend so am in the middle of cleaning and baking (but none for me!).

I do have my appointment on Wed so hopefully something will come of that even if its just the decision that we go private.

Must carry on with cleaning and may not be back till Monday but huge hugs of thanks to everyone.

ps would someone mind updating me to CD1 when they next do the stats - ta

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.

superpenguin · 20/06/2010 11:07

Hello everyone, just checking in.
