saltyair if your periods are normally consistent in their behaviour then I'd cautiously say there is hope. Do you know how many days post ovulation you are? Pregnancy tests are most accurate from 14 days after ovulation onwards. Fingers crossed for you.

cherry thanks for the support. I'm still pondering things at the moment but have to say I am slowly coming round to the idea. In an ideal world we would conceive 2 months before he goes away, but I know things are not that simple! It would also mean our house moving plans would get messed around and we had hoped to move before a baby arrived. Thinking positive thoughts!

Not such a good day's betting today. Of the horse's I put up this morning 1 won and 1 finished second. I also backed another winner but have not covered my losses! Oh well, try again tomorrow!

saltyair · 16/06/2010 20:25

I am roughly 18 days post ovulation. Period has now stopped entirely.

alien82 · 16/06/2010 20:34

hello everyone
just popping in to report that I had the Mirena out fine, not pain at all when it was removed! was very peculiar! few pains since but I seem to be ok, now to see what will happen over the next few months and see how long it takes for my first ERTD to appear!

Muser · 16/06/2010 20:40

Test saltyair. I have been pregnant twice and never missed a period. While I would hope you don't take exactly after me, it is possible to have bleeding and still be pregnant. Think of all those women who never know they're pregnant.

Miffles · 16/06/2010 20:42

Hi all - may I join you? It is nice to find other first timers...and also some peeps that aren't regular as clockwork.

I'm TTC #1 - but don't have much info on CD or no of cycles. Came off the pill in Jan and since have spotting periods every 17 days, am in the process of getting a diagnosis of PCOS and then exploring the roads that go along with that.

saltyair - your last period sounds just like mine do. Pathetic!! Mine dib and dab around for a least a week, and then repeat every 17 days! Sympathy to you - at least it saves on tampon costs ! But as you're normally regular, I would definitely POAS - it could be implantation bleeds.

Well done alien - we're together on another post, I think. Everyone seems very friendly over here, though, don't they! Shall we settle in?! Have a chocolate brownie. Oh, and since neither of us are on a 2ww, how about a glass of red?

saltyair · 16/06/2010 20:50

well I shall perhaps see if I am engulfed in The Red Tide of Doom overnight...if not I shall get some pre work stick action going on.

When it is negative (which it will be, I'm on my period for crying our loud...) would someone plz have a large glass of wine waiting??

claireinthecommunity · 16/06/2010 20:58

Hello everyone, sorry to have been away for so long. DH and I have actually stopped TTC and I've gone back on the pill. There are many reasons why, maybe we'll try again in the furture, maybe not.

I'd like to say I have enjoyed my time here and wish you all the best with your TTC.

I have taken myself off the list.

alien82 · 16/06/2010 21:15

Hey Miffles Yes I think we shall both settle in well here :-0)
I think I am on every thread going about TTC as need to find out as much info as possible and would love the support through this exciting/nerve racking time!
x

CurlyCasper · 16/06/2010 21:16

Good luck Claire with whatever lies ahead. I keep dropping into these threads to see how you are doing, so I'm glad you came back instead of just disappearing. Take care

CaveMum · 16/06/2010 21:51

Welcome to miffles, we are a lovely, friendly, if slightly off our trollies, bunch

claire sorry to hear things haven't worked out on this occassion. Best of luck with every thing you do and we'll have a glass of wine on stand by should you wish to pop by.

alien glad to hear today went well, roll on ERTD!

saltyair if I were you I'd be POAS tomorrow too. Obviously you don't want to get your hopes but, but I think better to know where you stand than be worrying about it for days/weeks.

almostknockedupgirl · 16/06/2010 23:12

Cycle day 5 and a husband on nights are as boring as the missionary on repeat. Ho hum.

Hurrah alien! So glad it went well!

Dayum superpenguin! Talk about a good effort! You inspire me. I shall be aiming to follow your lead from later this week.

Very excited by these potential implantation bleeds. (Although, really, how much can your body mess with your mind, huh? ) Fingers crossed for you saltyair and zippys!

Hello miffles! (And everyone else!)

Righty-ho, beauty sleep. Dreaming of BFPs for everyone.

felicityFlick · 16/06/2010 23:59

Morning all,

So glad you came back to let us know claire We have all been thinking about you and missing you. Please take care of yourself and I really hope that everything works out for you. The frolickers will still be here if you decide to try again. Lots of Love to you xxxx

salty definitely test. Fingers crossed for you and zippys

Welcome miffles

Fingers crossed for ERTD for you soon alien

Am off work today with ANOTHER sore throat. Since I moved here I have had two lots of tonsillitis, really hope that this does not turn into episode number 3 I really don't want to take any antibiotics so hoping to fend it off with lots of water, paracetamol and vit C.

Hope you're all well

Hermya321 · 17/06/2010 00:39

(Pops head round door) Ooooooo look a shiny new thread I can lurk on, I especially love the ERTD. Well done Ariesgirl.

Not much to report from me, apart from I am now being used as a trampoline/gym mat by LO. Well at least someone is enjoying themselves eh. I also had a pram delivered this week, I had a lot of fun putting it up and playing with it. I must say that the random giant teddy bear me and DH have (we won it in a raffle) looked very content in there. Well I had to try out the straps didn't I (and the cosytoes, raincover, mosquito net and sunshade, there were also pictures sent to my MIL) .

Welcome to all the newbies, tis a very nice place to be this thread.

So Zippys and Salty fingers crossed!!

Felicity I'm sorry about your sore throat, where have you moved to if you don't mind me asking?

Claire I hope things are well with you and that you come back at some point and let us know how you're getting on.

Kaloki Did I miss the solving of your wedding dress dilema? By the way you would have rocked any of those dresses you had in style and beauty!

Cavemum Hope you're enjoying Ascot!!

To everyone else, good luck SWI (I still haven't worked out that one, is it sex with intent??) and am hoping for BFP's for everyone.

Kaloki · 17/06/2010 01:51

Hermya The new dress plan is in my profile, complete with chosen fabrics

CaveMum · 17/06/2010 07:03

Morning all, and hi to hermya, so nice when the grads come back andxremind us that there is life on the other side!

By the way, I thought SWI was 'shagging with intent' so we're both on the same sort of page!

Felicity sorry to hear you are feeling I'll again. My mum always swears by salt to help with sore throats and also ulcers. Boil some water and add a generous dash of salt and stir; wait for the water to cool (it is easier to handle if it is lukewarm rather than cold) and then gargle. If you have ulcers also swish it round your mouth.
Salt is a natural antiseptic and I have to admit it has helped me in the past.

kaloki I meant to say before that your dress selection is luverly! I'm ver generous of your craft skills! I was rubbish at sewing at school: buttons and darning socks are about the limit of my talents!

Not sure if I will have any bets at Ascot today: yesterday was a tough one, betting wise, so I will have to consider carefully today! I will still put some selections up on here shortly.

Happy Thursday all!

CaveMum · 17/06/2010 07:21

Right, quickly popping back with today's selections for Ascot, though I don't hold much hope for these!

2.30 Dubawi Gold
3.05 Middle Club
3.50 Manifest
4.25 Azizi and Fireback
5.00 Quadrille (owned by the Queen) and The Rectifier
5.35 London Stripe

Right, breakfast time!

luckyseven · 17/06/2010 08:02

hi girls. Good luck to the girls trying to work out what is going on this month i hope you get good news when or if you test. Halo gutted for you enjoy green day tonight hope the sun shines. Aries if you get the boots thermometer it remembers your last temp so you wouldn t have to write it down at ridiculous o clock. Temp temp! Hi to all the new frolickers, you are in great company here!

zippys · 17/06/2010 08:09

Morning everyone, its lovely weather here, hope it is everywhere else.

Kkas congrats on getting so far with the new job, I think you are being really sensible about it. Its so annoying not knowing when you will actually get pregnant and the impact on everything else.

Penguin impressive SWI!

Cherry I know the ups and downs are so hard, I am trying not to get my hopes up - BUT there is always that little bit of hope!

Salty I would agree with the others TEST TEST TEST If you get your BFP it will give me hope. Let us know as soon as you have!

Alien glad the removal of mirena went well, does it usually take longer for your cycles to return to normal with the mirena like the injection?

Miffles - hello and welcome, everyone is lovely here. I dont know how I would have got through the last year withour everyone here.

Claire so so glad to hear from you. Thanks for coming back and letting us know, I was starting to worry about you. Take care of yourself and you know where we are, TTC ot not TTC related. We will miss you xxx

Flick you poor thing, hope you are feeling better soon

Hermya - lovely to hear from you. I cant wait to go pram shopping (infact anything baby related shopping!)

Well update on weird cycle - no change from yesterday, if anything less blood. Very little over night and then a tiny tiny bit of brown when I wiped. I need to calm myself down and not get too excited, I am tempted to test but then get so depressed when get BFN. SO I think I will stick to original plan of testing at weekend, but I am sure ERTD will have fully appeared by then.

A new thread - yippie - THanks Aries Flo sorry about ERTD - however it's here and soon you'll be ready for a new cycle.
I am also waiting for mine - a week to go before I begin to panic about irregular periods.
Cavemum Read your news related to DH... whatever happens I am sure you both will be the best parents for your child. Totally hear you on the crazy half of your brain...I feel like that's all I have left these days.
Zippys Fingers crossed for you.
Congrats whiteroses on starting the final trimester - yippie

Hello to the newcomers, big wave to everybody else. Best of luck to those intending to POAS and keep at it for those on the SWIathon.

felicityFlick · 17/06/2010 14:01

cave thanks for your tip for my throat. The salt is really helping!

Hi lurkinghermya I moved to Hong Kong in August and have suffered from stupid sore throats pretty much ever since. I think it is a combination of the pollution and humidity. How exciting about your pram, what type did you go for in the end?

Fingers still crossed for zippys and salty- salty are you testing today?

kkas · 17/06/2010 14:44

claire hope everything works out as you hope. we'll miss you!

zippys fingers crossed!!!!!

saltyair · 17/06/2010 18:01

Well.....having a rubbish period is OFFICIALLY a symptom of early pregnancy...

tested and got BFP!!!!!!!
