For anyone old and new trying to conceive their first child. Lovely friendly ladies with a penchant for acronyms, charts and unsuitable snacks await your arrival with open arms. Here's the blatantly copied and pasted List from the last thread. If anything's wrong, I absolve myself of any responsibility!

cookiemoo sorry to hear about the test having to be repeated. As people are saying, it could be a problem with the sample, not bad news. I had to repeat a smear a few years ago, which was thrilling, let me tell you. Fortunately the nurse told me it was because the first sample was messed up, not because of a bad result.

Condolences and cyber-hugs to everyone who's feeling down.

I'm pretty sure now that I ovulated last week, which was when we were SWIing every other day. At the very least, I haven't ovulated since then. My boobs have been ever so slightly sore the past couple of days -- could it be a sign? I'm probably getting way ahead of myself, but still...

cherrycobbler · 03/08/2010 20:19

So FERTD (this month warrants an expletive in the acronym) arrived today and it hurts! To add insult to depressive injury am at work still and super busy because all my colleagues are on mat leave. Sorry for self obsessed post - to everyone similarly pissed off come join me in the corner for some porn star cocktails, chocolate eclairs and bitching about how unfair it all is!
Waves to everyone else!

MrsWajs · 03/08/2010 20:29

Awww cherry ((hugs)) to you, mine hasn't appeared quite yet but I think possibly by tomorrow it will have made an appearance

I'll happily sink a few pornstar cocktails with you and set the world to rights!!

Lanky and Cookie sorry you haven't had the test results you wanted.

Sorry I haven't had time to catch up properly with everyone else, still trying not to obsess think about things too much.

Does anyone have dibs on starting the next thread??

Florin · 03/08/2010 21:14

cherrycobbler sorry to hear about ertd at least here you know we all understand how you feel. Doesn't help much though. I think some months it hits you harder than others. Last ertd hit me really bad.
cookiemoo sorry to hear tests are having to be repeated, I am sure it's most likely that they have mucked up and lost the sample or something
highheelsandequations glad you are having a lovely time in the lake district and that you are getting some practice in
kurlyvoice glad you are back, although tests are always horrid especially when so intimate but at least you feel you are doing something about it
Hello to everyone else too, i think I will join in those cocktails that have been offered. My car broke down today and it turns out it has a million other problems too. Feel a little very emotional anyway at the moment so been in complete over the top tears sad to be losing my lovely car, it's also going to be expensive to get another one, plus this time it needs to be a family car!

CaveMum · 03/08/2010 22:30

Evening all.

cherry sorry to hear about ERTD. I'll definitely join you in cocktails and eclairs.

MrsWajs no one has called dibs on the new thread as far as I'm aware. I won't be doing it as I think it should be done by someone who is actually trying.

Lanky it's a different house this time! If the viewing goes well I will post a link so you can all be nosey have a look

florin sorry to hear about your car, it's a bummer when that happens. I can highly recommend Motorpoint as a place to find a new car - that's where I'm getting my new car from. They have 4 or 5 places around the country and are very reasonably priced.

raspberrytipple · 04/08/2010 07:36

Ok, I'm due on around Sunday Monday time and had managed to convince myself I was pregnant. However, now it's closer to the time I'm starting to feel my period gearing up. I'm going away this wknd so wud like A drink to celebrate my exam results which I got yesterday if there is no baby. My cycles at the longest are only ever 31 days, do u think if I do a test on Friday morning it will be sensitive enough to tell if there is a baby in there? That wud mean I'd be at the most 6 days off my period as the lateest I'd come on by wednesday next wk. I'm not planning a massive drinkathon but wud like a few guilt free if u know what I mean. What do you think?? Xx

CaveMum · 04/08/2010 08:23

raspberry as I understand it pg tests are most accurate from 14 days after ovulation, but can pick up pregnancy as early as 7 days (though they are not very accurate at this stage).
I'd test on Friday and take a decision depending on what it says. Do remember that if you are pg the embryo cannot absorb anything from you until the placenta has formed, this takes around 6 weeks so a few drinks won't do any harm. Not that I'm advocating you go out and get blotto!

Well the end of the thread is nearing! Whoever creates the new thread can you make sure you pop back here and post the link so that everyone can find their way across. Remember post 999 will be the last!

Now I sound like I'm everyones mum!

LankyLegs · 04/08/2010 09:08

Hello lovely Frolickers

Is it just me or does it feel like we are stuck in a bit of a pit? We need to come bfps to get our spirits up - hopefully the new thread will help?

Cavey my dear do post us the link so I can indeed be nosey see what the house is like. The other one was lovely too. We had a second viewing on our flat so really hoping we are still in with a chance on the house we have had an offer accepted on. We shall see. Its so exciting this house buying lark isn't it? A good distraction. What's happening with MrCave's posting - any news?

Rasberryberet (loved that Prince track!) I agree with Cave - she is a wise woman, 1 or 2 drinks isn't going to kill you but you need to feel comfortable with whatever you do as at the end of the day we aint no doctors. My sister is on her 3rd pregnancy and she (lucky thing) has had them all privately and her obstetrician has always advocated that its ok to have the odd drink as long as you are not downing bottles of vodka like chavs to be honest. Good luck with the testing!

Tiger hope the pains are ok - I had something similar for a good few months - after ovulation used to get cramps - not really bad - but enough for em to think that it wasn't right. I ended up having a dildocam scan and the side I was having pains on was actually fine (the other side had some cysts which I am getting looked again in a few weeks) anyway - sometimes it can be your Uterus as the linking is thickening post ovulation etc etc. Also thanks for the re-assurances about the thyroid - agree it's going to take a while. I have an appt for a few weeks time to get the dosage changed.

Florin sorry about your car - what a pain in the backside. Just think - shiny new car shiny new car shiny new car shiny new car shiny new car

Cherry and MrsWajs really bloody sorry about FERTD - agree Cherry that it needs the F attached to it. When is another one of the long term Frolickers going to get a BFP??? No fair!!!

Highheels hope you are having a lovely break!! It's kind of hard to hard the digi thermometers from the other halves!

Welcome back Kurly pleased to see you tests have progressed - all a step in the right direction

Cookie just wanted to say don't worry too much about the Jizz test - my DH had one too and when the GP explained to us she also said they are often repeated a couple of times to ensure they get an accurate result - so many things can effect the swimmers so 1 test is never conclusive.

Crazy I agree I am going to embrace the rain I have all my wellies and gear so it will be fine. I was jus hoping for 4 days of good music and good weather - but seem Glasto got the good festival weather this year!

Waves to womanly, karstan and everyone else.

Halo good luck with your scan this morning - keeping everything crossed and hope its positive news for you xxx

Ok new Fred.... who is going to create it? I am disappearing from tomorrow until Monday so defo won't be me! Although I would love to do the one after the next one? I like the reference to Carling Beer - but can we also have reference to Porn star cocktails?! There's a challenge!! MrsWajs / Cave don't you want a go at it?

Morning frolicking ones!

Thanks for doing the list lanky I am doing the magical sundance for you (not pretty but hopefully effective)...

Still no sign of ERTD and at day 34 in the big blubbery house... I am trying not to cave in and wait until Saturday to test again if no sign of it. I really hope it's not going to be like this every month

raspberry I agree with the others, have a few drinks - think of it as allowing yourself to relax a little I have had 2 glasses of champagne this week, if only to emotionally blackmail one of AF or BFP to make an appearance.

I would love to see the house you have stolen from me fallen in love with too please cavey, please share!

MrsW and cherry boooo to the pesky ERTD hope you are both ok xx

Hope everyone else is ok... sprinkles of chocolate flavoured fairy dust to you all xxxx
