30s TTC - Butterdish Smashing World Record Attempt

1000 replies

PollyPoo · 18/02/2010 12:20

Line up, line up for the world record attempt for most dropped butterdishes per fred.

The bar is here, along with squishy sofas, some fluffy beanbags, low lighting, and most important of all, free booze.

I have installed some naked waiters (Morgan from being human, together with Russell Howard) - they have trays of champagne cocktails that can never run out, so dig in laydeez and lets make this a fred to remember.

muse You've been around this place long enough, and been through enough, to be one of the big girls.

Trying to say this without offending anyone (but probably will) but it might be worth bearing in mind "palace" ages... We all know it can pack an emotional punch when newbies beat the founders to the holy grail.

And while I'm the pulpit, it's probably worth saying that while noone begrudges anyone else their baby success, this is not the place for detailed pregnancy talk. For that, visit the PESH thread in ante-natal clubs.

I'm going to piss off and shut my big gob now.

Muser · 18/02/2010 20:04

Aw, fanks.

Should also have said dromedary they advised me to go back on the pill as condoms are not without their problems and they really don't want me to get pregnant. The drug does stuff to folates which increases risk of spina bifida, cleft palates, etc. All the stuff you normally take folic acid for (which I'm also currently banned from taking). They have to make sure it's out of my system and I'm good and healthy. Given all the potential nasties I agreed that just relying on condoms was a bad idea.

PerfectDromedary · 18/02/2010 20:05

Casper I fink I love you.

muse I understand the no SWI (fuck awful horrible awful awful time you've had, huge unbeshie hugs). Just wondered if pill was what you want? Is annoying hormone nastiness...

PerfectDromedary · 18/02/2010 20:13

X post. I see. Well, obv one is super-fertile post-pill, so that will be brilliant and you will autowin your baybee.

Muser · 18/02/2010 20:15

I realised what you'd meant after I did my first post. Slow brain! Ideally I would not go on the pill, but in the situation I'd rather be safe. I have had one too many condoms break/fall off/somehow fail to make it on the penis to trust them completely.

CurlyCasper · 18/02/2010 20:22

Back again to say that sounds familiar muser. I came off methotrexate in June/July and had to wait three months to SWI. But we did just use condoms, because I thought I might as well flush the pill out of my system at the same time. I had always been so careful with sex because I was told every time I saw a doctor for the whole 12-odd years I was on mtx how important it was that I did not get pregnant while taking it.

Re not drinking, I stopped for the best part of a year when first put on it. But it didn't last and as far as I am aware I haven't done any lasting damage by combining the drugs and drink every now and then. Although I'm pretty sure I broke the couple of units a week rule on more than the odd occasion How long have you been told to stay off the booze for?

PollyPoo · 18/02/2010 20:31

Well put me lovely. Don't piss orf, we hearts ya!

OP posts:
Muser · 18/02/2010 20:39

I'm actually not sure how long I'm meant to stay off the booze. I think just until treatment completes, which counts as when my HCG levels return to normal. So hopefully not too long.

I am hoping that 3 months on the pill won't screw my hormones up too much for TTC again. I had the old fashioned coil before this so didn't have anything to worry about, just shag and go.

PerfectDromedary · 18/02/2010 20:50

Am slightly bitter re: last four years on pill. Could have been shagging like rabbits with no contraception at all. Arsebiscuits.

PerfectDromedary · 18/02/2010 20:54

Muser have just thought, you could always try for a BETTER pill. Yasmin gave me pretty skin and made me thinner and was a bit like magic.

When I started trying, GP said that the hormones from the pill should be out of my system immediately.

CurlyCasper · 18/02/2010 20:58

no need for slinking off. That was just some advice to keep this place no more menkul than it needs to be. Can all the newly-diffed laydeez please haul ass over to the Pesh deli so we can terrify support you there. But please stick here for bitching and random violence. Countdown to the gypsy brides!

PollyPoo · 18/02/2010 21:01

Oooh I'm watching that PaleFace... I too have been left alone for the evening... always a recipe for trouble.

OP posts:
Muser · 18/02/2010 21:04

I am watching it too. MrM came home slightly too late to argue for something else.

PollyPoo · 18/02/2010 21:06

Can't believe that girl is getting married at 16! And I had no idea about the dresses.... I am speechless.

OP posts:
SilverSky · 18/02/2010 21:07

CurlySue all violence will remain her fo sho.

Bring on the gypsy wedding!!!!!!!!

Muser · 18/02/2010 21:08

Oh wow, she can't get out of the coach!

And HOW do you make a 27 stone dress?

PollyPoo · 18/02/2010 21:10

Oh my gawd... she has really stitched the bridesmaids up, lol.

OP posts:
SilverSky · 18/02/2010 21:12

Those bridesmaids will glow in the dark, they look nuclear or do I mean radioactive?

CurlyCasper · 18/02/2010 21:14

CurlyCasper · 18/02/2010 21:27
