Hello everyone, no tickets required, just jump on the TTC Bus, and let's hope we'll all be getting off at the November Stop.

Add your name to the list as follows:

For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

Thanks Fifiok and Rainbow you make me smile, just had some good news from UK which has lifted me slightly and I have a box of chocolates I was considering the bottle of wine from the fridge but thought better of it, I've got toddler group tomorrow.

Hobnobfanatic · 29/01/2009 21:42

earlynite - I have similar worries. BUt I know that people always cope, regardless. I just don't want to regret not having a second child because of money. Doesn't stop me fretting though! But I fret more about not being pg.

earlynite · 29/01/2009 21:49

Very True hobnob Not even PG yet! I have had a bad day today. Very stressful at work ATM

scarlotti · 29/01/2009 22:08

Homeinthesun - hang in there. DS is just acting up as his Daddy is away and he doesn't understand why. If you think of how long 2 weeks is to him in terms of how long he's been alive then it's a really long time! Maybe get a photo of Daddy and tell him he can tell him off for going away - if nothing else it might mean he shouts at the photo instead of you

As for ff, it's not too bad once you get the hang of it. When I conceived my ds I didn't do temperatures, just checked cm each day and we got lucky on cycle 2. This time I'm temping but this time I'm more obsessed!!

There's a good site called babymad.com that sells bbt's, opk's and pg tests really cheap. Great if you become addicted to peeing on sticks!

Hope those of you who had bad days are now happier at home and sitting at the back of the bus with one of fifi's cocktails!

Can I join in please? TTC number 2 (have DS 22 months). There is no way this is going to happen 1st month for me as I have PCOS and have only just started taking the Metformin literally today.

MensaReject · 30/01/2009 16:22

Hi all, have been for my hsg today. Wasn't pleasant but had to be done i guess. I've heard that i might be a little more fertile for a couple of months now (yay) so will be crossing my fingers. Have got to see my consultant on the 3rd feb and then a blood test on cd21. The Clomid has been awful this time, i've been so moody and had hot flushes constantly. We
are starting self inseminating tonight and will carry on til cd24. Hope everyone is doing ok xx

TickysMum · 30/01/2009 20:31

Hi MensaReject, I'd also heard that HSG can help move things around a bit. At least something good comes out of such a horrible procedure! I had mine in December and have a consultant appointment 11th Feb - so will be thinking of you next week :-) (sadly no 21 day blood test for me as I still haven't had a cycle since DS was born..and annoyingly haven't been allowed clomid the docs say in won't work for me) - so don't worry about the inseminating at all, at least you're on the road....:-) Good luck tonight. Actually, good luck everyone tonight - it's Friday after all! :-)

scarlotti · 30/01/2009 22:29

Evening ladies

Well AF arrived today and I'm thrilled! It's my first since the m/c and it's such a relief to now feel as though I'm back on track. Can't remember wanting a period this much since I was about 12!

So here's my new stats for today
Scarlotti TTC#3 cycle 1 CD1 UCL 31

By my reckoning, ovulation day will be around valentines, and we just so happened to have arranged to take the kids to my Mum's and get away for a night. I think DH might be getting lucky!!
Fingers crossed for us all!

MensaReject · 31/01/2009 00:03

Thanks tickysmum i've had some strong period type pains this afternoon and some strange discharge sort of like exfoliating cream - gritty with brown flecks, lovely. And hopefully normal?? We've done the job for tonight, its so frustrating i just wish we could have normal sex! Sorry the doc wont give you Clomid TickyMum, i also didn't have periods but the gave me provera to start a cycle off so i could start taking the Clomid. Have they given any reason why they won't?

hannahlouhoo · 31/01/2009 00:32

Hi guy hope that fri night has been a bd extraveganza!! No such luck in this house!!! I'll be trying my luck in about 20 mins

Good luck keep positive everyone xxx

fatandiknowit · 31/01/2009 08:31

Hi Ladies

I'd like to shuffle on over from the October thread as AF got me today (three days early - which is very unusual for me!).

Here are my stats:

TTC#1 Cycle 2 CD1 UCL26

Nice to meet you all and hope you all have a great weekend!

HomeintheSun · 31/01/2009 18:30

Hi all, AF is getting ready to pack her bags and I think she should be off tomorrow. I'm feeling more positive about this month, I'm going to start the grapefruit juice tomorrow. I've got another 7 days until DH comes back, DS was a little bit better today but now one of the dogs is playing up, we've got another thunderstorm coming, the dog hates thunderstorms and has pissed on the carpet either because he's frightened or because I was playing with DS and he's attention seeking.

Hi everyone - all updated I think ! Make any changes if I've got it wrong.

I had hangover fromn hell today. I know....not great idea but having spent so many weeks not drinking "just in case" I thought I'd treat myself.

Welcome new joiners - find a comfy seat. There is a creche on the top deck, and Homeinthesun I have now recruited that bloke from Dog Borstal to be the new driver.

Scarlotti glad AF came for you, it is a turning point and such a relief I am sure.

Fatandiknowit meant to add that my AF was also unusually early by 2 days this month. Do you think this is significant ? Also a bit heavier than ususal

Fifi - my AF was significantly heavier too! Really took me by surprise!

I don't know what it means - but I was very disappointed as all ready to test this week...

Never mind - I'm sure this will be a good month for lots of MN'ers. I'm lucky enough to be going for long weekend days 10-14 so can BD in style!

violetbubbles · 01/02/2009 13:08

Thanks for doing the updates FifiOK & HomeintheSun!

We've been BD-ing Tues, Wed, Thurs and Sat this week. Probably have another session tonight!!

Hope everyone is having a fabby weekend!

TickysMum · 01/02/2009 19:00

Wow Violetbubbles - inspiration for us all!!! Hope everyone else has had a great weekend.

MensaReject - sorry taken me ages to reply. Really sorry, can't offer any advice on the gritty mess - if it seems particularly odd/painful maybe ask your doc? (To answer your question on Clomid - it's because my womb lining is thin and apparently Clomid won't help thicken it....let's see what the consultant says on 11th - fingers crossed).

littlemiss26 · 01/02/2009 19:57

Hi everybody, sorry haven't posted on here since i moved over from the october thread, but to be honest i was just getting pissed off with my body not working!

scarlotti i read your posts with interest - I also had an ERPC at 10 weeks on 22nd dec. HAve been Dying for AF or OV to arrive! its a nightmare isn't it!

hello to everyone who has joined or moved over from oct thread. Would you believe it, i finally got a postivie opk tonight so i;m bding tonight, tommorrow morn, tommorrow night etc.. for the next 4 days!! poor hubby just looked tired when i told him . Sooooo i suppose i still might make oct if i'm lucky?????

scarlotti · 01/02/2009 20:04

Evening ladies
Not had a bad weekend here although my hormones are still a bit up in the air so there's been a few 'moments' this weekend!
Any tips on combatting pmt anyone? Both me and my family would be most grateful It's always mental rather than physical and the docs are offering anti-depressants which I don't really want to take indefinitely.

fatandknowit - we're away for the night for valentines which is around a day or two before o day with a bit of luck!

Hope all of you are well.

HomeintheSun · 01/02/2009 20:33

Scarlotti I found this on a Yahoo Health web page when I googled PMS Symptoms:- daily vitamin B6 is likely to improve PMS depression and physical symptoms. Take no more than 100 mg daily to avoid toxic effects on the nervous system.

Hope this helps good luck for valentines night.
