Hello everyone, no tickets required, just jump on the TTC Bus, and let's hope we'll all be getting off at the November Stop.

Add your name to the list as follows:

For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

Not sure about timing with the Grapefruit Juice Homeinthesun but I'll make sure we have plenty on the Bus

Hi girls!

Well after my positive test yesterday. todays was negative and i have the usual crampy windy feeling that signify af's arrival fingers crossed i ether get a bfp soon or she makes her presence known and i dont get that awful 68day cycle like last time.

Please save me a seat next to the bar i will be over sooner rather than later im sure xxx

rainbowdays · 28/01/2009 19:05

bubblebell1 - , the girls in the bar will take care of you. What drink do you need?

monkeysbumsmum - yep with 26 day cycles, it does mean I have to start extra early in the cycle,,,, more fun for me. I manage to fit in more cycles in a year, but having said that my last two were not the norm, had two chemical pregnancies, so one cycle of 31 days and one of 41 days, most weird for me, I am hoping the next cycle will be even longer, about 9 months will do me fine .

Hobnobfanatic · 28/01/2009 19:11

Hi all!
I've jumped ship from the OCt thread, as, despite being convinced I was pg, AF caught me today! So much for instinct!
So, I'm on TTC no. 2, cycle 3, CD 1!
I'm sure that this will be our lucky thread - good luck, everyone!

HomeintheSun · 28/01/2009 19:25

thanks FifiOk I'll have the grapefruit juice with lemonade that way it tastes less like vomit.

bubblebell1 · 28/01/2009 19:25

could i have a southern comfort and lemonade waiting (not an alchie i promise) mind you the mood im in anything will do as long as it dulls the pain
hob sorry to hear AF got you she is an evil biach.

hannahlouhoo · 28/01/2009 19:39

Hi all

manages to scramble on board <

Can i join? DP said to me this weekend " so when are we having another!" I been wanting to start trying again for months but not said anything to him, for fear of been shot down in flames!! So i'm v. excited and cant wait to start bding!! This weekend i think if i have my dates right??

So i'm throwing baby dust around for everyone.

ttc#2 cycle1, cd10

Hobnobfanatic · 28/01/2009 19:44

Thanks, bubblebell - yes, AF sure is a biach! But I hope she visits you soon - rather than having a nightmare 68-day wait. Then, next month, she can be banished from both our lives for nine months .

Good luck hannahlouhoo - a co-operative DP helps, especially when the BDing gets frenetic. No mercy!

hannahlouhoo · 28/01/2009 20:10

Sorry ucl is 28 days!!

Ive just told him i demand sex every night from tommorrow untill next weekend, he said " is this about that baby thing??" Honestly!! he usually gives in to my demands!

quick question - grapefruit juice? why?

any positions? is keeping my bum in the air for a little while after bd a good idea?

Hobnobfanatic · 28/01/2009 20:36

Grapefruit juice is meant to produce more cervical mucus or something. Not sure if it works - btu I don't think it will do any harm, so worth a go!

Bum in air and other fetching positions might help if you have an everted (or is it inverted? can't remember) uterus like me. Again, it can't do any harm, so go for it!

TickysMum · 28/01/2009 21:39

Hi Girls, please can I hop on board? I stopped bf-ing ds last June in the hope of conceiving a sibling for ds...but STILL no cycle :-( Would it be OK to join (even though I can't give you cycles and days) as I'd love to have a Nov 09 baby.

I conceived against all odds last time, so I'm bringing lots of baby dust and positive thinking

Just updating and changing my cd, as I seem to have lost a day?! I am good at losing things

scarlotti · 29/01/2009 12:27

Welcome to the new arrivals - the barstools at the back are might comfy!!

Funny, this month I can't wait to see AF as have to wait one full cycle after my ERPC before we can bd again - this has to be the first time I've been wanting to see it since I was a teenager and desperate to start them!!

Never heard of the grapefruit juice...

Does anyone else track their cycle on fertilityfriend.com? I've used it when ttc my ds and for the last 2 m/c and it works a dream. You chart your temps (if you are taking them) your cm and any opk's and it gives you a green light around your fertile time. Plus a lovely chart to be fanatical about .... not that any of us are fanatical about this are we ladies

FifiOK · 29/01/2009 17:14

Hi everyone updated us all +1 on the CD list.

Welcome new joiners.

scarlotti no I've not used ff.com. Had a look and it looked a bit complex for me Am doing OPKs though, and generally BDing as much as possible.

Hold on tight there are some speed bumps coming up and I've just had a look at the bus driver and he bears an uncanny resemblance to Keanu Reeves

HomeintheSun · 29/01/2009 18:51

Hi all, Caution a long moan is following.

I have had such a shit day, I feel so down and lonely, dh is away for another 9 days and ds has just been horrible for the last week, I cook and he doesn't eat, I take him to the soft play area and he doesn't play, he just has tantrum after tantrum and I know two year olds do that but with dh away he just seems so much worse than he normally is. I spoke to DH on the phone earlier and all he says is "yes I know how hard it is" which just pisses me off because he's never had ds on his own for more than a few hours let alone a few weeks, but then I feel bad for feeling like this because I know dh had to go away with work and he misses us.
Ok, sorry, moan over I feel slightly better now.

Hobnobfanatic · 29/01/2009 19:07

Sorry you're having a crap time, homeinthesun. Toddlers can be so exhausting and to not have any DP around for a cuddle and support at the end of the day is doubly tough. But it will be over in 9 days - hang on in there and spoil yourself tonight!

Thanks, scarlotti for the FF tip. I've joined now. NOt sure I can make much sense of it - but I've managed to put my AF days on so far. Do you need a special basal thermometer to test in the mornings? I'd never heard of them!

rainbowdays · 29/01/2009 19:38

.

rainbowdays · 29/01/2009 19:46

Homeinthesun - sorry to hear you are having a tough time. I find that my children act up much worse when dh is not around. It is as if they know that it is time to push boundaries. Two year old tantrums are not easy any time either. Feel free to moan as much as you need to here.

Hobnobfanatic - You don't need a special thermometer, I use ff and get good results with using my standard old oral electonic thermometer. But with experience, I have learnt to leave it in my mouth for a minute before pressing the button to take the temperature, and you must try to take the temperature at the same time each day. I have found it very useful to confirm that I have ovulated.

FifiOK · 29/01/2009 19:56

Homeinthesun I have now opened up a creche on the top deck with some highly skilled professional super nanny type people up there to keep an eye on all our DCs. Take him up there now, and come & have a large cocktail....Grapefruit & Vodka !!

Ditto Shit day, but feeling a bit better after virtual cocktail & RL glasses of wine.

OP posts:
rainbowdays · 29/01/2009 20:00

FifiOK - can I come up top deck and have a nice glass of water and use the nanny people.... could do with the break. I will check that Homeinthesun is up there with glass in hand!

earlynite · 29/01/2009 20:08

Hi Ladies, I need to talk. I have been feeling really anxious today. I am worried that having another baby would be the wrong thing to do. We have money issues which would only be compounded if we have another. On the other hand not having one would break my heart. Money isnt everything! Right?!

rainbowdays · 29/01/2009 20:24

earlynite - It is so hard to know what is the right thing to do is. Money is difficult for so many, and it is hard to not let this put you off ttc again. But only you know what is the right thing for you. Talk as much as you need here.

earlynite · 29/01/2009 20:32

Thanks rainbowdays I want someone to say "it will be fine, go ahead"
