Hello everyone, no tickets required, just jump on the TTC Bus, and let's hope we'll all be getting off at the November Stop.

Add your name to the list as follows:

For anyone not familiar with the acronyms....that's what number child you are tring to conceive, how many cycles you've been trying, what day you are on, and what your usual cycle length is.

Hello - I think I'll be joining you later today

AF due this weekend, not shown up so far but had 2 BFN and every sign is there that AF is going to arrive overnight.

Everything crossed that this is our month! Well maybe not everything, that could make bd pretty difficult

MissieMoosMummy · 26/01/2009 04:11

Hiya
Suppose I should add my name here too [sighs]. AF arrived a week after after bfp & I'm feeling a little fed up right now, so I may only lurk for the next few weeks (probably be a lot more cheerful nearer ov when I feel I can do something about not being pg).

Hi, like missie, I just had BFP's last week and now they have gone, but was in limbo-land for so long, I am feeling happier to know where I am at now. So I am ready to join in with you.

Welcome everyone, lots of familiar names - sorry things didn't go to plan last month.

For those of you with children already how long did it take to conceive with your other children ??

At least this next bit goes quite quickly, I find, and we'll all soon be enjoying the BD marathon

jennybensmummy · 26/01/2009 08:39

can i join you? I am still holding out slight hope of a october baby but seeing as no positive ov tests it seems i may have not ovulated yet if at all so maybe november!!

monkeybumsmum · 26/01/2009 09:12

Hi there - can i join??? i was also on the october thread, but still haven't ovulated or had AF since ERPC in december - i'm currently on day 35 since ERPC and have been feeling a bit PMTish so hoping AF is around the corner!! I so don't want to be like Eeyore and have 61 days . good luck to all, maybe this will be our month

monkeybumsmum · 26/01/2009 13:26

Hi Fifi I recognise your name too Let´s hope this is a lucky ride hey, in more ways than one

Missie I also know your name as I´ve been lurking on a few threads recently... Sorry to hear about your CP, and for you too rainbow. If it helps at all my ds was conceived 2 weeks after I had a CP, hope this happens to you too...

Is anyone doing anything special to ttc? I´m going to be taking aspirin and progesterone, just need to get past AF now. I can´t wait to get back in the saddle so to speak

Hello All,

Lots of Baby Dust being sprinkled here!!

Good Luck for this month - I will keep stalking the thread to see how you are all going.

jennybensmummy · 26/01/2009 17:55

not sure what the ucl means as im new on here but im ttc#2 (well first with current partner, but my second!) im up to cycle 13, and day cd14 (i think though not entirely sure what you count - though thats based on cd1 being first day of last period!) sorry im new on here so not 100% on all the terms on here! am using ov tests but no line yet for ov, well faint yest but think that evap line as was after 30mins, none otherwise though! It took 2 yrs to concieve my son so not expecting anything for a while as im guessing im just not very fertile as always doing the deed at right time of months etc etc etc

FifiOK · 26/01/2009 18:40

Hi littlemiss if its any consolation my AF took around 6 weeks after ERPC in Sept so let's hope you won't be long. Welcome on board, find a comfy seat.

JenBM UCL = Usual Cycle Length.

MBM I'm kind of following the Deanna Plan & using OPKs to track ovulation & giving the preseed another try. I'm also going to eat sweet potatoes every day - have a truck load being delivered tomorrow night, apparently they are a natural clomid. Probably a load of bo**ocks but what the hell I'll try anything How do the aspirin and progesterone work ?

OP posts:
monkeybumsmum · 26/01/2009 19:07

Fifi I've heard of the Deanna plan, it's meant to be very good isn't it... What do you have to do? Have also heard re sweet potatoes for some reason. The things you pick up!
My consultant has said I should try the aspirin to thin the blood slightly (is only baby aspirin so very low dose). I think it helps against possible clotting disorders. The progesterone I have to start taking on day 21 of my cycle, and it provides a hormone surge which should help implantation (if am pg!). I have to stop it if AF arrives, but if I get a BFP then I am to continue. I also might have to have a cervical stitch but am waiting to see if I even get pg yet! This is such a different experience to ttc ds, I was very naive and hadn't a clue how things worked!

Is the preseed easy to use by the way?

CakeForBreakfast · 26/01/2009 19:38

Hi everyone. Didn't join the Oct thread but added myself to the end here even though AF expected this week. I thinks I will be a regular! Will re-join with new dates once the witch has left

FifiOK · 26/01/2009 19:40

MBM Shortened version of Deanna Plan as follows ""Try" every other night starting Day 8
Buy 10 ovulation predictor kit sticks
Begin ovulation testing on Day 10
When test is positive, "try" that night, plus two additional nights in a row
Skip one night, then do one last "try"
Take a home pregnancy test 15 days after your ovulation test was positive, if your period has not begun
If your ovulation test never goes positive, continue "trying" every other night until Day 35, then do a pregnancy test if your period has not begun.
Statistics show that about 40% of post-miscarriage women will get pregnant on the first try if they are faithful to the plan, about double the number of the normal population who are not on the plan. This assumes, of course, that you waited for a normal cycle to begin after your loss, and did not begin trying before having a period after a miscarriage. Many women do not ovulate in that first cycle" There are more detailed versions available if you have a search around.

We tried DP last month and although I'm not pg I know we gave it every chance. Also on previous months we've just BDed constantly for about 10 days so this did make it feel a bit less like a chore. Last month was also first time trying with OPKs, preseed etc.

The preseed is easy to use but very liquid so you need to insert it nice & high (TMI!) and maybe not use the whole application.

AF arrived with a vengence today so definately aiming for a November baby. Surprised myself with how much AF got me down even though I knew the chances of a BFP in the first month were very slim.

I'm fighting the urge to start temping, OPKs, preseed etc. and just go with BD every other night as I can get a little obsessive!

Lots of baby dust for everyone

FifiOK · 26/01/2009 22:17

Welcome Sprogletto sorry AF got you. Hope you're feeling a little happier - go treat yourself to something tomorrow, you deserve it. Hope all the obessing on here doesn't put you off too much, well done for fighting the urge - I wish I had your resistance. Hello too CakeFB - but don't write off the chance to get off at the October Stop just yet.

The doors are open for any new passengers, jump in, grab a seat and hold on tight. And remember this isn't just a bus, it's the all new November 2009 conception Bus.
