Thanks @October1979 for starting another thread.

43, Conceived our 15 month daughter naturally age 41 after actively TTC for a year. 5 months into TTC number 2, have a faint line on a cheapie stick and period 2 days late 😊

SomnolentSekhmet · 25/04/2023 14:48

I'm still here, chugging along. Just turned 46, TTC no.3 since 2020, MMC at 42 and 43, 7weeks each time. Tentatively considering donor IVF or might just get more horses 🤣

JaffaCake123 · 25/04/2023 14:52

TTC 4 years, unexplained infertility but probably diminished ovarian reserve
MMC x 1
OE IVF x 3
DE IVF a go-go - transfer booked for early June! 🫣

Whataretheodds · 25/04/2023 16:08

42 this week, TTC number 1.
2/2 pregnancies miscarried.
DP deserves a medal for the performance he put in during ovulation week (we messed up last month).
Due Monday, negative tests Sunday and yesterday. Going to hold off testing again until Thursday. Don't fancy a BFN on my birthday, but going away for the weekend, I'll have a bottle of wine if not pregnant.

YellowLoafers · 25/04/2023 18:19

Hi All

42, TTC number 1 for 2 years. Fertility tests showed unexplained infertility in October 2022. Started IVF January 2023. FET 11th April and tested positive on 23rd April, so tentatively excited as it’s super early days.

Sending luck and love to all ❤️

Iusedtobedontcall · 25/04/2023 18:23

Hi all,
I am 42 with 3 dc aged 13, 15 and 17. TTC sc number 4 with DH (our first together but he has 2 dc).

I had a MMC in August (accidental pregnancy).

I then conceived again in December but my girl had a high risk screening on NIPT for trisomy 21 and I made the very sad decision to terminate. Trying again and trying to be positive.

TraceyTarotReader · 25/04/2023 18:54

Thank you for starting the new thread @October1979 ❤️

Trigger2018 · 25/04/2023 18:56

YellowLoafers · 25/04/2023 19:23

@Trigger2018 I can see it too

Trigger2018 · 25/04/2023 19:30

Thank you both so very much. At first I thought it was my eye sight. X

birdbybird · 25/04/2023 20:26

Thanks for the new thread @October1979 .

Hi @GingerFox2021, I saw your message and remember your messages from earlier in the thread. I’m also ttc #2 for 2.5 years so our stories are very similar. I wanted to reply to you on the old thread but the thread is closed. Tagging you here and sent you a private msg to make sure you didn’t feel like no one replied.

YellowLoafers · 25/04/2023 21:22

How many dpo are you @Trigger2018 ? As it’s faint, maybe test again in the morning with fmu, or better yet in a day or two if you can stand the wait 🤞

Marvellouslymadmum · 25/04/2023 23:33

@Littlemiss42andfabulous congratulations 🤞🏻 for a sticky bean for you!

@99pctpractice brilliant thank you! Yes I've had a look at Gynem, so I've got an idea of that one it seems good! @October1979 would you mind me picking your brains on the costs with Gynem please? Happy to pm if that's easier, I know you have your hands full at the moment! Xx

Thank you @Kelb79 I think factoring in flights etc all helps with the decision! We're their de packages reasonably priced? I'll have a look at them thank you

Hi and welcome @GingerFox2021 sorry to hear this, I've also had no lines in over 5 years so I feel your pain.

@October1979 thank you for the new thread

For those who don't know me I'm 44 partner 42 we each have two older teenagers but none together
1 mc 6 years ago and nothing since, adenomyosis and suspected endometriosis, possible pcos. Maybe just old duff eggs and lazy sperm! Looking at ivf abroad, possibly one cycle oe then de or maybe a tandem cycle.

TraceyTarotReader · 26/04/2023 06:31

@Trigger2018 i see it congratulations how many dpo are you ?

so took my temp this morning and ff has moved my ovulation day to cd 13 instead of cd 12 only by one day but I’m sure I covered everything 3 dpo today TTW begins 😊

Rainbows121 · 26/04/2023 11:07

Hi all,

I'm 43 and have been ttc #2 on & off for over 2 years. I've tried to just leave it to fate and not stress but it's all I can think about.

catinthesunshine · 26/04/2023 12:04

Hi everyone, I’m 42 and TTC #1!

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 12:19

@catinthesunshine welcome 🙏
Are you using OPkS or temping?
I'm 44, TTC number 2. I had my first at 40.

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 12:20

@Rainbows121 I know exactly what you mean...I've jumped between trying to relax about it and feeling frantic on the two week wait!!!

Sorry, I kept that rather brief! I’ve tried the cheapie OPKs but haven’t got on that well with them. I was considering forking out for Clearblue but got really flummoxed about what to buy.

We’re in our 40s but have only recently started trying as I used to be on medication that was very harmful in pregnancy. GP advised us not to go down the tracking/temping route and just DTD regularly but I feel like we don’t have time to mess around.

Would be interested to know if people recommend Clearblue.

I really don’t understand temping at all if I’m honest!

catinthesunshine · 26/04/2023 12:28

To be honest for a long time I was resigned to just not having kids and then suddenly this crazy new world has opened up where we can, but only very late on age-wise.

seashoreone · 26/04/2023 12:32

@catinthesunshine I would try a pack of the Clearblue - 4 day ones.
They are usually accurate.
Use them with an ovulation tracking app like Flo.
Note all the readings and how you feel and you will get a gist of your most fertile week....
What are your cycle lengths?
Mine since having DD1 are much shorter at 24/25 but still pretty regular. I used to be 28 day cycle length:

Thank you! Do you mean you just use them on 4 days?

My cycle is about 25 days usually. It was 25 like clockwork before I went on the pill years ago - now it’s still settling down.

Wish I’d spent all these years swotting up more on it all. Thanks for the advice! Wishing baby dust to all
