So I thought I'd start a group for anyone like me who just has had a bit of a bumpy ride TTC baby number 1 and is looking for others who understand how that feels and want to hang out until we get our BFPs!

Cycle #7 for us, one chemical pregnancy cycle 5, and wondering if we even have a chance through this heatwave and what it does to sperm 🙈

Looking forward to chatting ❤️‍🩹

This is month 15 although 2 months we had covid so missed the main ovulation dates had a mmc in March i was 5 weeks. I have been doing chinese accuapture to warm my body up just after a session this month I had my period a week early this month and ovualtion was a week after that. Fertility therapist said these really good signs as my body is responding well to hos techniques Have to remain postive have spent months getting upset but my husband is very supportive and helps me through it. My friend was a fully year so I feel for me it should have happened by now. Have u any other kids?

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 10:23

@Xtina1986 ah sorry to hear it's taking so long! I also have acupuncture and it is really good. I am just worried about sperm quality and count in this heatwave?! It's proven to affect it!! Not feeling hopeful! My OH is very supportive too, and more positive than I am. He's got two kids from a previous marriage and I have been pregnant before although no children

Ah really hope this is your month. I was a bit specital about the accupature at the start but I feel its helping me I've more energy and not feeling as down as I was. we have 3 kids 2nd one planned took about 3-4 months for her to be conceived. Never heard about sperm and the heat but have looked it up now and know what you mean. I'm defo not going to sympton spot r do any tests until my period as I think then I go on a downer. I seam to spend hours on these sites and each month I get disappointed it's my husband bday this month so hoping and praying for a bfp in time for his bday. I also feel like this takes overour life if u know what I mean I barley meet friends r even going out as I'm always trying to track ovulation and it gets harder to dtd with other kids in the house. This month I've decided to go out with friends next wknd and try and enjoy myself.

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 11:02

@Xtina1986 thank you and you too! Yeah acupuncture is great!! It is so hard and I agree it takes over your whole life it's just not a nice process at all tbh. I thought I'd relax when we started trying but I defo don't feel relaxed I just feel down it's taking so long. Defo go out and meet friends etc... I am also trying to do things I enjoy. Not that it helps for long but for an hour I guess it takes my mind off it

Hey @Angie2018, I'm in a similar place, TTC #1, but been trying for 19 cycles now and had one early MC in that time almost a year ago now. I'm 36 and DH is 41. Sorry to hear about your chemical.

I've been having acupuncture for almost a year now, tbh I'm not sure if it's helping much but I enjoy it so keep going. Think I take every vitamin under the sun, I temp for ovulation confirmation and use the clear blue ovulation sticks. Having said all that, I am quite relaxed about things, I realise things can take time and our BFP will come soon 🤞

Where are you in you cycle atm?

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 12:52

Hey @RugbyGirl1 ! I think your positivity is amazing and has certainly helped me today! I guess it just takes a bit more time as you get older eh and I have to accept that! Sorry to hear about your MC that must have been very hard for you.

You sound like me, I take every supplement, acupuncture, temping, clear blue OPKs etc etc.... I think some of this just comes down to when it's meant to be it will be.

Just all the stars have to align for it to happen and it's not that easy to fall pregnant.

Xx

@RugbyGirl1 oh I am cycle day 9 today out of my 7th cycle TTC. We are doing SMEP again. Think we are going to try for three more months including this month with SMEP and if I am not pregnant by September I think we will pay to see someone privately x

Hi @Angie2018 TTC #1, been trying for almost 2 years now. had CP almost a year ago. I'm 30 and currently 8dpo of our first medicated cycle. FX this is our month.

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 15:53

Hi @Roro1423 so sorry it's taking so long! May I ask if you have a fertility issue you know about? I am hoping it's your month this month!!

OP posts:
Cofefefe · 14/07/2022 15:54

I'm on cycle number 7 of TTC#1. I'm 40 though so it's not really taking longer than expected as I don't really expect it to happen at all to be honest. But we're giving it a go just in case.

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 15:54

@pcosandme.x how are you hun? I gave Mumsnet a break as I was struggling. How are you doing? X

Hey, I'm on month 13 but only had two visits from AF in that time so I guess I'm only on cycle 3? CD83 today.
TTC #1, I'm 30, DP is 33
When AF next shows up I'll be having day 2-5 and day 21 bloods done, DP needs to have a semen analysis.

Ejk1990 · 14/07/2022 16:14

I had my implant out in December. But only had 4 periods since. Currently in the 2ww, but not feeling hopeful.

Its starting to bring me down a little! As everyone seems to be pregnant or just had babies. Makes you very aware!

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 16:18

Hey @dmb91 welcome to the group! Do you have PCOS or anything to make you have such long / irregular cycles? Hopefully you get some answers from the bloods! It's a hard journey TTC 🫤🫣

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 16:20

@Ejk1990 hey! I totally agree it brings you down seeing everyone else announcing pregnancies doesn't it!! I think the implant can just take a while to leave your system unfortunately hopefully that's all it is. I'm lucky with my periods being 26/27 day regular cycles but I'm still worried it's never going to happen for us 😢

My cycle has come back in the last few months, and I've definitely ovulated this month (urgghhh breast pain). So fingers crossed it will happen soon!

Sending you a boat load of baby dust!

Angie2018 · 14/07/2022 16:34

@Ejk1990 oh that's great you've ovulated!!! I hope it's your time!! Thank you and you! I think I just need to tell myself it should happen this year and be done with it 🫣

Roro1423 · 14/07/2022 16:37

@Angie2018 Yes, I've been diagnosed with PCOS just recently which has been preventing follicles from growing and maturing. I have a regular cycle (26-28) and my body would try to ovulate every month but fail. Hoping we all get our BFP🤞

Roro1423 · 14/07/2022 16:40

@Cofefefe they say it happens when you least expect it. FX for you.

Jod30 · 14/07/2022 16:50

Hi, please can I join in. I came off the pill in October 2021 and starting my journey TTC #1. Cycles have been pretty regular (28-32 days) since December. We were seeing how it goes but with no luck we have been properly TTC since March. I use OPKs, BBT every morning and take folic acid supplements. Had a chemical last month and now I’m on 9dpo of current cycle and couldn’t resist a cheapie test this morning but of course it was stark white. I spend so much time on mumsnet daily as all I can think about is getting pregnant so it would be great for moral support.
