Thought I would start a thread for people trying to conceive their 2nd child. Hope some of you lovely ladies want to join in to keep each other sane!

So as I said I’m TTC #2. This is my first cycle. I’ve been tracking my period on the Flo app since my DS was born so have a good idea of my ovulation window. According to the app I’m due to ovulate tomorrow but I got a stronger result on a clear blue ovulation test yesterday than what I did today. DTD yesterday and hopefully again today if we find the time.

My first pregnancy was kind of unexpected i fell pregnant very quickly - around 2 months - after coming off the pill. I have not been on the pill for over a year and have been using condoms instead so it will be interesting to see how long it will take this time.

Hi - I'm TTC number 2 too. I'm now 1DPO according to opks so the wait begins. We were very lucky and fell quickly with DC so hoping it'll be the same this time.

Yep we're trying for our second too. This is my first cycle and I've been using the Flo app too. Have only recently come off the mirena coil though so not sure how long it will take to see any sort of pattern. We're decided to not try and think about it too much for the next 2 months while my cycle settles but then after that look more closely at dates / plan etc. Although that's much easier said than done!! I'm already finding myself symptom checking and TBH really struggling to focus on anything else.

We were really lucky with our first and fell pregnant quickly, hope to be lucky again but who knows! Thanks for setting up the thread X

TTc #2 but have had 3mmc over the years after my son who is 9.
I'm on the 3rd cycle and currently CD8 with flashing smileys on the CB OPKs.
I have fallen pregnant quite quickly with all of the others, it's just staying pregnant that was the issue!
This time around though I feel like it's going to take a lot longer. I'm nearly 34 and recently found out I have an underactive thyroid.
Planning to just DTD every other day and hope for the best! Also using conceive plus and on pregnacare too 🤞🏼

@TheWhalesOnTheBus we will be testing round about the same time, what cycle are you on now?

@Ktd88 my first cycle too! I agree, once you have your heart set on trying it’s very difficult to distract yourself! Hopefully you will fall quickly again!

@tulips87 I’m so sorry to hear about your 3mmc. I’m looking forward to keeping up to date with your journey and wishing you a sticky bean very soon

Please can I join? I'm on 1st cycle of TTC2- currently CD3 so a bit to go before my fertile window!

We fell quickly with our first which makes me worry it won't be as easy this time.
I'm taking vitamins and have been tracking cycles since my first.

@May2311 Hey! Yeah I worry about that too. Were you on any contraception up until now? What vitamins are you taking? X

@Babytale1 - I'm taking the pregnecare ones - I took them with my first as well. I never found they messed up my cycle but I have read that it makes some people's longer. My LO is only 10 months old & we knew we wanted a smallish gap so we were just using condoms as we didn't see the point in me going back on the pill to then have to get it out my system again.

How old is everyone's first?

We are TTC#2. Have had to wait 6 months from coming off chemo so this is our first cycle trying! Exciting!
I got a positive OPK on Thursday last week, and currently 3 or 4 dpo.

@May2311 I’ll need to have a look at the pregnancare ones, I don’t think I used that brand the last time. I remember going to the toilet an awful lot and feeling quite as sluggish with the brand I had though! My DS will be 25 months next week. He has hit the terrible 2 stage. It makes me feel quite nervous about having another but I’m hoping the worst will be over by then 😂 what age is your first child?

@Babytale1 first cycle properly 'trying' if that makes sense.

I'm just taking folic acid and vit d, do we need to take anything else?

@Babytale1 Yes seem to be fairly regular, about 28-30 days.

@May2311 My little boy will be 3 next week. How about you?

My LO is 10 months old. She's a cheeky chops as well so don't know what we are thinking 🤣❤️

@TheWhalesOnTheBus first official cycle for me as well! & I think vitamins wise that's everything you need to take.

My little one now 2 and definitely a bit nervous about having a second, mainly because of the sleep issue. Dd wakes up a lot in the night so I imagine it might get tough! But she's so ready for a little brother or sister.

Not sure when to test....I know they say you should wait until AF day (which for me is 11th) but I very much doubt I have the will power for that!

@Ktd88 We have sleep issues with our son too, he was up once a night until 7 months old which was absolutely fine but he was unwell and had a stint in hospital which I think is where everything went belly up. Hopefully we can get the sleep issues rectified before baby no. 2 arrives 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Hey @Babytale1 I'm ok thanks, well a little disappointed. Got a bfn today (at 11dpo) so think I might be out for this month! How are you doing?

@Ktd88 it's still early days so you may get your bfp!

@Babytale1 I'm 7dpo, been a little bit crampy and tired but DC isn't a great sleeper so could be down to that. I normally start to get quite bad pms around this time but no sign of it yet so hoping it could be good. What about you?

Hi @Babytale1 I'm doing well thanks.
I got my peak OPK yesterday evening (CD13) which I was happy about and we are taking the SMEP approach this cycle (although my husband doesn't know it which is better for him). Thankfully we also DTD the day before too.

How are you getting on? How many DPO are you now? Any symptoms? Xx

Hi @Babytale1 got my first flashy on CB OPK today. The only issue we have is that we have realised my hubby is away with work when I think I'll ovulate 🙈🙈 so our first month TTC won't go to plan unless I have worked out my days wrong! Not the end of the world as next month he will actually be on leave so should be easier to DTD! X

@May2311 trust something like work to come in the middle of your TTC plans 😂 no definitely not the end of the world and sounds like next month will be hopeful if it doesn’t work out this time!

@AthersB congratulations, wonderful news!! That looks like a very confident line!

So as I mentioned above I think I’m 7dpo going back the solid smiley on my OPK last week. I’ve been feeling bloated and had sore boobs and lower back pain today, my whole body just feels a bit uncomfortable if I’m being honest. Time will tell, I have some first response tests being delivered tomorrow so no doubt I’ll not be able to resist even though I know it’s a bit early!!

@Babytale1 That sounds promising. I always think that if testing early helps you cope then there is no harm in doing it as long as you remember that it doesn't necessarily mean your out if BFN. So pee away on that stick when they arrive🤣. My hubby finds it so funny how excited I get about peeing on sticks! X

First cycle TTC #2. Only really decided half way through my fertile window (according to Flo and Ovia). DTD Friday and yesterday which should be peak day. So see where it goes. Our first was born in December so March might be a lucky month for us again

Going to try not get hung up on OPKs, taking temps etc again.
