Thanks for making the new thread @SkyBlue20!

I am thinking of getting a charm for my charm bracelet to commemorate my baby, I have one for each of my children with baby feet and the year they were born. Would it be weird? Not sure what to get, it doesn't seem right to get the same thing, somehow .

Poppy10121 · 07/07/2020 12:27

Thanks for setting up the new thread @SkyBlue20! So organised 😊 I’m dying to see if you’ve done your test today! 🤞

@Threnody I’ve seen lots of posts on Miscarriage Association about people doing things to commemorate the babies they have lost, I think it’s such a personal thing but a charm on your bracelet sounds like a lovely idea.

I think AF is on her way out so I’m going to start OPKs from tomorrow (CD6) as my cycle has been shorter since MMC and don’t want to miss it!

Workingmama1 · 07/07/2020 12:31

Thanks for the new thread @SkyBlue20

@Threnody I think the idea of adding something to your charm bracelet is lovely. Maybe some angle wings?

Smilingdonkey · 07/07/2020 12:58

Hi, just checking in - I hope you don't mind me hanging around. I feel attached!

I have a scan to rule out ectopic tomorrow as the side cramps are still there (but very mild now really) ... 🤞

Just a question - does anyone have a quick way to tag people/reply using the app? I have a terrible memory and can never remember who to reply to once I get to the writing bit?!

Love to all Xxxx

SkyBlue20 · 07/07/2020 13:58

You're very welcome, all!

@Threnody That sounds like a lovely idea - I like @Workingmama1's suggestion of angel wings, too. We're leaning towards getting a plant but also worried that we're not very green fingered so it might be better of getting something that won't die...

@Poppy10121 No test yet. They arrived about half an hour to an hour ago but I've held off so far - busy at work so that's helping... I don't know! I want to but I don't want to, I just can't decide whether to or not.

@Smilingdonkey Please do stick around! Glad the cramps are a bit better and fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow, hope it all goes well. Is it a nice early one or do you have to wait around?
Afraid I don't use the app but I too have a terrible memory and just find myself scrolling up to the post, then down to reply to it then back up to the next post and down to reply to it and so on... it takes a while!

@Smilingdonkey hi, hope all goes well at the scan tomorrow, glad cramps are getting better!

@SkyBlue20 that's exactly what I do too! Lots of scrolling, and double checking in case I reply to the wrong person.
A plant would be no good for me either, I am dreadful with plants. Luckily my husband does all of the gardening now.
I'm very impressed you haven't tested yet too, but here to handhold if you do.

I caved... 😬

@SkyBlue20 OHMYGOD! Amazing congratulations! That is sooo clear!

SkyBlue20 · 07/07/2020 14:48

Thank you @ALew15. I’m a bit numb, happy but very cautious. Seeing it as the next step towards a baby rather than it meaning there will definitely be a baby at the end. Braced for more heartache should it happen. Going to wait a couple of days before we tell anyone or ring the midwife or anything, see how that line is looking when I test again then that’s it for tests, after that it’s all up to nature. Argh, it feels like I was JUST pregnant and now I have to think about things like what I eat again and no wine! 😫

(Not complaining, obviously...)

OMG congrats @skyblue20 you don't have to stalk the other thread now lol!

ALew15 · 07/07/2020 14:52

@SkyBlue20 I said the opposite to DH, it feels like a lifetime ago that I had those pregnancy feels (sept-Dec 2019) but DH said it's still very raw for him as I had complications. We are also very realistic of what will be will be. Still buzzing though! 😹

I picked up a prescription for higher dose folic acid today as I had that last time (think it's because of my BMI? Other than that, when do I arrange Dr's/Midwife appts? I've forgotten everything!

Threnody · 07/07/2020 15:03

@SkyBlue20 Congratulations! What a line that is! Fingers crossed for you.

Nyanya · 07/07/2020 15:27

@SkyBlue20 Congratulations :)

I'm so glad I came across this thread! Me and hubby just started to TTC now after we had a missed misscariage in March, which was my first pregnancy. Some of the posts feel like someone has taken the feelings out of me and written them out here. It's really comforting. I avoided mumsnet and all other websites after miscarriage as I was just too scared and raw.

Sorry, rant over! :)

ew1990 · 07/07/2020 15:42

@skyblue20 awww congratulations

Starfish762 · 07/07/2020 15:49

@SkyBlue20 Yeeeeyyyy! Congratulations!

PurplePansy05 · 07/07/2020 15:51

Congratulations @SkyBlue20 and thanks for the new thread, I'm guessing you'll be graduating from it very soon!

SkyBlue20 · 07/07/2020 15:59

Haha @Sakura54 That's very true!

@ALew15 If I remember correctly, I think my first MW Appt was about 7 weeks then booking in around 9 or 10? My trust does it differently to most in that I have an appt before my booking in one for some reason.

Thanks @Threnody @Nyanya @ew1990 @Starfish762 @PurplePansy05💕

Also hoping to stick around here if you'll have me? Really want to know how you ladies get on and tbh I'm SO nervous I don't want to be all 'PREGNANCY' just yet - it's so early, I'm convinced the worst will happen.

Congrats @SkyBlue20 @ALew15 wonderful news...wishing you both the best

Smilingdonkey · 07/07/2020 17:19

Massive congrats to the BFPs! Xxx

Threnody · 07/07/2020 17:22

Hi @Nyanya, sorry for your loss. I had my mmc in March too, and I'm just waiting for af to start ttc next cycle.

Workingmama1 · 07/07/2020 20:26

Ahhhhh yes @SkyBlue20 so happy for you! Please do stick around z

Poppy10121 · 07/07/2020 21:13

CONGRATULATIONS @SkyBlue20 ! I’m so happy for you - I had a good feeling for you with all those symptoms!

I’m encouraged by how many of you have got BFPs so soon after MMC (and only a little jealous I promise) and hope I can join you soon. I’m feeling frustrated already because we were quick to conceive last time and I really thought it would happen immediately again especially with tracking ovulation and everything... but it’s so much harder when you feel like everything depends on it.

SkyBlue20 · 07/07/2020 23:41

Thank you, everyone 🥰 Still very surreal and very early so can’t get too excited just yet.

@Poppy10121 totally get the frustration, the whole thing is so all consuming, it’s tiring! I have my fingers crossed that it happens for you soon 🤞🏼

Ah well, here's af. I had a 9 day luteal phase this month, same as last month.
