@Sakura54 just checked in to see how you got on, so happy it was all good! How far along are you now? Are you planning on javing another scan or waiting it out until 12 weeks now.

@Threnody I got a load of pregnancy tests from amazon a while back as they were on offer. Figured they'll probably get used eventually, and my current habit is to test before AF so I'll find a use for them!

I wonder if i peaked overnight as opks goong back down. I've got a gp appointment through my work private scheme to talk about ovulation pain on Monday. Figured they can tell me if i need to be concerned and if anything needs doing what I need to speak to my gp about.

Meant to attach this!

Starting TTC again after missed miscarriage part two
Sakura54 · 18/07/2020 07:42

@Threnody Normally it’s fine but this time my ovaries were checked because she was trying to see if anything was wrong, so it felt like extreme cramps and pressure and before that she did an abdominal scan and pressed hard on my CS scar which didn’t heal as it should have.

@Workingmama1 lol no I don’t have stress-free pregnancies anyway, because I’m high risk as it is. Let me show you my list of risks and this is without the split womb lol. I also had a breech baby hence my EMCS.

I’m 7 weeks and my 12 week scan is in less than 5 weeks, so I’ll be holding my breath until then - the moment of truth. I wasn’t planning on having early scans as I didn’t want to see a heartbeat and let my guard down, but I really did think I was going to MC. I’m actually surprised that I got a good result, but at least now I know there’s something in there!

@Sakura54 So pleased for you! It's not an easy place to be when you have existing risks plus you've been through MC, it makes it very hard to keep your mind in check I imagine (whether consciously or subconsciously).

@Workingmama1 That's a tricky one. I think there's a chance you O'd overnight as you say, and it was a short surge. The CD would also suggest that. I would say though, personally I had Femometer coming up like this before (early after MC) and it wasn't THAT surge yet, it was rising, but it wasn't O. I then learnt my LH takes a bit longer to decrease after O, and sometimes I have mini-surges before which is normal. I think just to be on the safe side, I'd probably track for 5 more days or so - unless you know from previous cycles that your LH surges can last several hours and decrease swiftly (which is also fine!).

PurplePansy05 · 18/07/2020 08:25

@Starfish762 How are you doing? Have you tested today/planning to? As others have said (and as we anticipated before), because of your late O, your cycle is longer and that's a positive - you don't know, it might be a BFP but in any event, a good luteal phase. That's all good. Although waiting an extra week isn't easy, I know!

Thank you all for your support re family visit abroad, it means a lot. I am anxious about it, anxious about Covid. I think for me MC just heightens anxiety overall, particularly health/death related. I am going back to meditation from today to ground myself before travelling next month.

Hope you have a lovely weekend xx

Workingmama1 · 18/07/2020 13:33

@PurplePansy05 it's my first month tracking with OPKs so no idea if I normally have a fast surge! Its gone back down to a faint line now, but will keep testing for the next few days as you suggested just incase I have a later "real" peak

Workingmama1 · 18/07/2020 13:34

@Sakura54 that's a fair old list! Does having a split uterus change anything?

Threnody · 18/07/2020 14:50

@Workingmama1 It's possible you ovulated overnight, or maybe not yet, as @PurplePansy05 said I'd keep testing just in case. I have had cycles where my lh surge has been 3 days, and others where it was negative in the morning, peak in the afternoon and negative again next morning, so it can vary cycle to cycle.
That's a good point, it's not like I won't use them, I suppose. I still have one Clearblue weeks one and a few ics left from last pregnancy, it felt like bad luck to get rid of them.
Hope all goes well at your appointment on Monday, that's good you can get that through work.

@Sakura54 ah right. My cs scar didn't heal well last time, I think they missed out a stitch or something, it took weeks to heal up. That is an impressive list of risks, mine is quite long too, though I'll at least not have the bmi over 30 one now. I hope the next 5 weeks fly by with no worries for you.

@PurplePansy05 I got a high opk a few days before af this time, apparently that's normal as progesterone levels drop down.

Started opks today, I've got 11 clearblue sticks left, and about 8-10 days until my usual ovulation date, so hoping to get by.

Starfish762 · 19/07/2020 13:56

Hi all, happy Sunday! We had a glorious hot day here yesterday so really made the most of it, drizzly today so just chilling. How is everyone?

@Sakura54 So pleased for you! Hope the next 5 weeks go quick for you.

@PurplePansy05 I’ve felt better the last couple of days, thanks for asking. I didn’t test this morning or yesterday, but I will tomorrow if AF still hasn’t shown (tomorrow will be CD38/15DPO). Had some very light spotting on & off but mainly dark brown, although pinky red when I have a #2, so not holding out much hope but still frustrating & wish it would HURRY UP! 😂

Workingmama1 · 19/07/2020 20:01

@Starfish762 we had the opposite weather to you, yesterday was pretty miserable but a lot better today and managed to spend some time in the garden! Any sign of AF?

I tried to run again after a week of resting my knees, but dont think it was long enough, knees still sore! Did anyone find week three of c25k they were running a shorter distance? I think its a shorter programme so not sure ot it's that or I'm just running slower.

Threnody · 20/07/2020 07:06

Just got a flashing smiley. I wasn't expecting it this early, I'm only CD13, I don't usually ovulate until around CD21.

Sakura54 · 20/07/2020 07:37

Good luck @Threnody

@Workingmama1 It’s mild so they said not to worry, but I reckon it caused me to have a breech and premature baby and maybe even MC. I will mention it to the next sonographer, midwife plus consultant lol. It was noticed at my dating scan in April but wasn’t noted down, I think because they got distracted by the fact that a MMC was discovered!

@PurplePansy05 Yes, pregnancy after loss isn’t a great feeling as you know. I already didn’t feel ‘right’ when I woke up, so seeing blood scared the crap out of me and there was no way I was going to wait around for hours for the maternity helpline to open, just to probably get fobbed off! If I hadn’t had a MMC, I would have most likely ignored the spotting/achy body and brushed off any dark thoughts.

Poppy10121 · 20/07/2020 12:25

@ShouldEyeShouldntEye Hope everything went ok with the scan x

@Sakura54 Glad to hear everything is ok! I hope it's plain sailing from here on in x

@Starfish762 Did you test today? The bleeding you have had sounds similar to implantation bleeding I had before... not trying to get hopes up but don't discount it!

@Workingmama1 I have definitely had some struggles on c25k too, I think if you get any injury it's better to wait a few weeks and try to do strengthening exercises instead of injuring yourself further. There are definitely weeks where you run less than others in the earlier stages, but either way, better to not overdo it with a sore knee!

Another friend just announced their pregnancy to me today, and for the first time in 3 months I was able to just say congratulations and feel happy for them, and not go into a spiral of unhappiness about why it's not me. So I hope I am making some progress, although probably when I next see AF I'll be in a gloomier place again. Also I think I'm now officially the only childless/non-pregnant person I know!

Starfish762 · 20/07/2020 14:58

@Threnody good luck! 🤞🏼

@Poppy10121 @Workingmama1 I also thought it seemed like implantation which is another reason I’ve had a small amount of hope, but tested again first thing today & BPN. Still only spotting though & not enough even for a pantyliner! I rang my EPU at 9.30 & left a message but I’ve not had call back as of yet. They always say everyone gets a call back same day but obviously my case is not urgent so maybe not. I’m pretty sure they’ll just say my body/cycle needs time to settle after the MMC & MVA, but thought no harm ringing for advice.

WildflowerPetals · 20/07/2020 15:04

Hi ladies, haven’t posted on here since the beginning of June so can’t catch up with everything but have caught up a bit! Congratulations to all those with BFP 🥳 It gives me hope I’ll get mine soon.

I was hoping to have my BFP this month but AF came a couple weeks ago. Although, my first period after MMC didn’t seem like a normal period (bright red and mucus-like) but this last one seemed to be like my periods before MMC so I’m hoping that means everything’s settled properly now. I’m currently using OPK to check when I ovulate this cycle to make sure everything’s working properly and so we definitely catch the peak this time 🤞🏼

Also, I’ve seen a few people talking about c25k, I’ve been trying to get the motivation to start this but just keep putting it off 😩 So well done to those who have! x

Starfish762 · 20/07/2020 15:07

@Poppy10121 Glad your friends news didn’t hit you hard xx

@WildflowerPetals welcome back!

Threnody · 20/07/2020 17:04

Thanks @Sakura54 and @Starfish762

@Poppy10121 glad you are feeling positive at the moment, and weren't upset by your friend's news.

@Workingmama1 - definitely make sure you're all healed up before running again. I think different runs can be slower, it depends. Also, if you're running the same places or not - some of my runs are more uphill than others, so they're always slower!

@Starfish762 I hope they ring you back soon with some advice.

@WildflowerPetals, hello! I was a bit like that with C25K, but I'm glad I did get started. I ran for 8 whole minutes on Saturday - twice! Would never have thought I'd manage that before I started. It's amazing how quickly you get on.

If anyone wants to buy any Clearblue digital weeks they're down to £9 for two on Amazon at the moment.

Poppy10121 · 20/07/2020 17:22

@Starfish762 I hope you do get to speak to someone soon!

@WildflowerPetals welcome back :-) I agree, I find it encouraging that so many people have already moved off this thread and onto pregnancy ones. Here's hoping we follow them soon! I would definitely recommend C25k for feeling like you've got purpose and giving some motivation for exercising!

@Threnody I missed your earlier post, that's interesting that you are ovulating earlier potentially, have you done anything different this month in terms of supplements etc?

Having said it didn't hit me hard hearing from my friend, it didn't, but has definitely made me think more about babies and pregnancy again today - I was trying to be more chill this month (only 7DPO and fairly sure we mis-timed it) but already I can feel the crazy symptom-spotting part of my brain whizzing into gear again...

Threnody · 20/07/2020 17:31

@Poppy10121 Ah well, if you're 7dpo, you are allowed to be crazy-symptom spotting lady!
I have been taking extra vitamin c, and eating more flaxseeds and sunflower seeds than normal, as I changed my breakfast. I've also lost weight, and been low-carbing for a couple of months now, so that may have an effect. Though I was hoping to extend my luteal phase, not shorten my follicular phase. My normal cheapie opks are still very light lines (High according to femometer app, but about 17%).

Poppy10121 · 20/07/2020 22:09

@Threnody sounds like you’re doing a great job of super healthy lifestyle changes! Is a short follicular phase a problem? I was so focused on the luteal phase! I seemed to get a much earlier ovulation using the CB tests this month - now I’m wondering if there’s something in it! There’s so much to think about isn’t there 🤯
I think I’ll do one more month of ovulation testing and then I’m going to have to just go back to DTD regularly and hoping for the best, this is blowing my mind a bit with all the details to obsess over!

WildflowerPetals · 21/07/2020 09:25

Thank you for the welcome back messages 🙂

@Threnody @Poppy10121 Thanks for the encouragement for C25K, I WILL give it a go! I think it’ll help me feel better about myself and hopefully lose a few pounds 🤞🏼

Got a flashing smiley face today on my OPK so hoping I get my static smiley in a few days 😬 x

Workingmama1 · 21/07/2020 12:54

@WildflowerPetals yay for trying c25k, it is an easy way to break yourself in and ita good to have a goal to work towards.

How are ypu finding the CB sticks? Thinking of giving them a go next month.
Although that is subject to my husband who announced this morning "there is no way we are having another kid" and that I am mad for wanting one. But this was after a particularly awful night with my daughter who was up 2-5am 😭 so hoping he will come back round. I am like the walking dead today as it was the second tough night in a row.

Workingmama1 · 21/07/2020 12:57

I also spole to the dr about my ovulation pain, who said that given what my body had gone through so far this year (periods returning after my daughter, still breastfeeding, early pregnancy and then miscarriage) my hormones are going to be all over the place so at this point it's not concerning. But to give it six months post miscarriage to settle down and if its still bad to seek help again. Fingers crossed it goes away!

Threnody · 21/07/2020 13:04

@Poppy10121 - a very short follicular phase can be an issue, but mine is still at least 14 days so that's fine. I've been reading lots of different studies about fertility and miscarriage and things.
I love having the details to obsess over, I'm a librarian, so like to geek out over data! :-)

@WildflowerPetals hurrah for flashing smileys! FX this is our cycle!

I completed week 5 of C25K today - that's a 20 minute run with no breaks. I was completely sure I'd not be able to do it at the start, but was really surprised when she said I'd been running for 10 minutes, and while I was really struggling by the end I did manage it!

WildflowerPetals · 21/07/2020 15:49

@Workingmama1 I find the CB OPK sticks work well, I used them when I fell pregnant last time so I do think they definitely help. We decided to try without them for my first cycle but didn’t fall pregnant so decided to use them this month so we know we definitely have the right days 😊 Hopefully it was just frustration from the bad night and your DH does want another one 🤞🏼

@Threnody I hope so 😄
I think that’s one thing putting me off C25K, thinking that I won’t actually be able to do it! But if you thought the same then maybe I can do it haha.
