Well, I thouht I'd better start this thread as I am CD1 of my 6th cycle of trying for our very precious first baby. This is going to be a lucky and positive thread, I can feel it so I'm laying down the babydust now so that as you join me, you can collect your dose .

For those who join me, what are you doing differently this cycle?

Hi MrsMc, I'll join you. I'm CD6 today so technically still due in November (just), but the other thread is so long now I'll hop over here.

I'll be joining the healthy eating thread too as of today, as I could do with losing a bit of weight.

MrsMcJnr · 06/11/2006 10:14

Not alone thanks Sideways hope Santa comes early for you!!

AnguaVonUberwald · 06/11/2006 10:16

I will join you here. My AF has started which is good news and bad. It means we are not pregnant, but on the other hand, it means my cycles have started again so we can start trying properly.

A bit nervous as I don't think my cycles are very regular, so not sure how easy it will all be, but at least we can start trying now!!

CD1 too!!!

Good luck MrsMcJnr and Sideways and babydust to both of you!

ready4motherhood · 06/11/2006 11:05

Good luck December (and very late Nov ) ladies... fingers crossed. I am a week away from hopping aboard the December Express, save room for me!!

Babymad2DS · 06/11/2006 12:13

Good luck and i hope santa brings us all a BFP!!!

cityangel · 06/11/2006 12:54

Hello Mrs MC and the December Bunnies. I am a late Nov bunny but love Christmas so may need to switch over early soon!
On Dec 01 I will put up our 6ft inflatable santa on the balcony to cheer us all up
We need christmas icons. Perhaps I should write to MN to ask for some?!

Mumpbump · 06/11/2006 12:57

Hello! Have been reading the November thread. Don't know yet whether I am pg - testing tonight, but might be joining you.

Sorry MrsMcJnr to hear you did not get your bfp, but what a great Xmas present if it happens for you this month!

GeekInPigTails · 06/11/2006 13:52

Hi all. I'm fairly new to the TTC thing, and to MNet, but I've been lurking on the November thread for the past month and found it so helpful! I'm the kind of person who does loads of research before trying something, but there's a big difference between reading the books about TTC and pregnancy and hearing real women's honest experiences, so thanks to all you regulars!

Anyway, AF came this morning (sounds like at exactly the same time as you MrsMcJnr!) so I thought I'd join the December thread properly. Pretty disappointed, and feeling worse because my hubby is away for a few days so I've got to wait for my comforting hugs! We've only been trying for 4 cycles now, but every time I've been more hopeful and then more disappointed! I think I'm going to try temp charting this month, as at least it gives me something constructive to do!

Anyway, good luck to all of you, looking forward to hearing about some BFPs, even if they're not mine!

KitKat30 · 06/11/2006 14:07

Hi - just wanted to pop my head in and say hello. Will probably be joining you in a couple of weeks... really hope this will be THE lucky Christmas thread for us all.

Big hug for you MrsMcJ...

Natty1806 · 06/11/2006 14:34

Hi All
Am joining you now, spotting started so AF will arrive in full force tomorrow.

Fingers crossed we get our Christmas wishes.

stretchmarks · 06/11/2006 15:50

Hi my next AF is due Dec 1st - maybe we could start a BFP advent calendar where we each get a BFP on the days leading upto Christmas

Natty1806 · 06/11/2006 16:07

Now that would be nice.

Babymad2DS · 06/11/2006 17:30

So sorry AF came Natty thinking of you!

1n2s · 06/11/2006 18:19

Oh guys sorry for you all during your AF times You will all feel chipper and positive very soon.

Thought I'd joing you on this decembers thread as AF will be on th border of Nov/Dec or hopefully neither I am now on CD 9 of 7th cycle and am still determined to chill this month and not give in to frittering my money away on OTK. Going to BD when we like, drink how much we like, eat what we like and hey hopefully I'll be preggers before turning into a ten tonne tessy with liver damage!!!

MrsMcJr - sorry about your AF, you sadly had all my pre-menstrual symptoms last month - so I thought I'd better keep quiet.

Natty1806 · 06/11/2006 18:30

1n2s - that is my plan for my next cycle, eat lots of rubbish, drink lots and bd whenever the mood takes me. Hope it works for you.

Thanks babymad, think we all thought it was our turn last month, obviously someone named AF had other plans. Oh well fingers crossed for this month.

Best of luck to everyone. x

MrsMcJnr · 06/11/2006 19:16

Oh, SO not alone sorry that you are all here though.

Natty, sorry my friend clearly the only thing that came in a 3 on our chart spotter thread was BFNs this cycle. Are you ok?

Hello and welcome to all the newbies I am already feeling the positive vibes on this thread so thank you for joining.

Angua - Glad to hear that things are working and good luck this cycle.

1n2s - I'm with you on the wish to chill
this month but I am lousy at it and will need help, anyone know the Cadbury's Bunny?! I'm not using OPKs either nor am I symptom spotting, what a berk I feel after last cycle!

There is no room on the sleigh for any of you ladies still holding out for a positive November, you'll just have to get your BFPs! Seriously though, much as I'd love to have you here with us, I really hope you don't have to come over other than for little visits

Cityangel - I love Christmas too! I agree we need Christmas icons and we need a babydust icon too rather than having to write it - I'll ask them for that (early Christmas pressie!)

ohh MumpBump - let us know how you get on, babydust to you!

Geekinpigtails - love your name!! It's good to have you posting, the support you get from MNetters is amazing, don't know what I'd do without all my virtual pals! Sending you huge hugs, try not to be down, it's a new cycle now and we can do it this time round! If you want to start charting, we'll all help you.

Stretchmarks - love the advent calender idea - I'll be testing on 5th December if AF doesn't arrive on 3rd. 5th is my sister's birthday so I figure it's lucky - isn't it St Nicholas' day too?

Oh MrsMcJnr, really thought this month would be your month. All the best for Dec - I might start posting again properly soon you never know, as next month will be first month of proper TTC following the m/c.

Natty1806 · 07/11/2006 09:49

Mrs - she has not arrived properly yet just some slight spotting with cramps. Wish she would hurry up and just get on with it. Off work today as feel like poo just so tired had 12 hours last night. off for a hot bath in a moment. x

Mumpbump · 07/11/2006 09:55

Well, MrsMcJnr, it looks like I won't be joining you after all as I got a bfp last night. BUT I'm not counting any chickens at the moment as I had a m/c about 6 weeks ago, so might yet see you on another thread - hopefully, though, you will be on an ante-natal thread by the New Year! Fingers crossed for you...

AnguaVonUberwald · 07/11/2006 10:11

MumpBump - congratulations and good luck.

Our plan is to spend the next three months just trying to relax about it. not taking any temps, or counting, or anything, and then if that doesn't work, getting quite serious about it and buying a fertility monitor looking at our diets etc.
Does this sound like a sensible approach? Any advice much appreciated.

FemaleoftheSpecies · 07/11/2006 10:36

Hello all. - ooops this goes on a bit - if you can't be bothered to read it - just take this as a Hi and good luck to all!!

Hi to MrsMcJnr - disappointed to see you on this thread as I was really hoping for you.

Hi to everyone else - bucket loads of positive seasonal cheer for us - let's hope Santa fill our stockings with BFPs!!

A bit about me - I have pinched a MN login from a great friend who has moved overseas - I have been TTc for 2 and a half years and she suggested I log into MN - originally I found it too mumsy as I have so far been unable to conceive, so felt a bit of a fraud and also found the baby talk too upsetting... then I found you lot.... especially the amazingly positive MrsMcJnr (you are an inspiration to me!) (BTW even my DH was asking after you!!!)

Yesterday I had a "lap & dye" - an operation to try to find out why it's not happening - I was expecting to have at least one tube removed and have IVF as the only option. To my delight, and confusion, it all looks normal in there... so maybe I just need to relax. I have the chance of a BFP this month BUT this will involve some careful maneuvers in the next day or two as my belly is rather sore . So I think I'll take the pressure off and think of Christmas.

I love your ideas about doing something different this month - I was thinking of upping my B6, going even more organic etc.... but you've got me thinking....How about completely chilling out about TTC, getting my social life back on track and PA-A-A-RTY!!!

So happy to have you there - it is a great comfort to me.
Sxx

GeekInPigTails · 07/11/2006 11:09

Thanks for the welcome and the compliment on my name - i love being proud of my geekiness, geeks make the world go round you know!

Hmm, I like the idea of relaxing the rules (much more than the prospect of drinking grapefruit juice - bleurgh!) but my work Christmas do is 4 days after my next AF is due, so if AF is late or (hoping not to jinx it!) I get a BFP around then I can see some awkward questions about me not drinking... Transport is provided, so I can't even use the driving excuse!
