No Symptoms, No Google, No sticks

Due to overwhelming monthly disappointments, a few of us have decided to go the traditional route.

Coupled with that, we know that one CAN'T have pregnancy symptoms unless one is ACTUALLY pregnant and that only actually happens after implantation. Which is normally about 10DPO then it takes a couple days to show up in the urine etc etc so pregnancy symptoms can only really be felt at about 13DPO.

The purpose of this thread is three fold:

  • Support in TTC (mostly for first-timers)
  • No symptom spotting allowed AT ALL
  • Trying to exclude sticks (but we know that sometimes they're necessary)

So this will be practical application of theories and science.

We pledge to be honest and open and practical.
We pledge to give utmost support to each other in our struggle TTC
And we pledge to not give false hope or support symptom spotting until well after 13DPO

I'm in, cannot cope with anymore symptom spotting or peeing on sticks and the heart break that follows!
My plan this month is;
Lots of fruit, veg and water.
Accupuncture
Exercise
Stress free and wine!

:)

Pinkie29 · 23/05/2012 12:43

I'm on board Grin can we say when we are testing? I'll be doing a test on June 5th which is 14dpo (is this allowed?)

redstrawberry · 23/05/2012 12:43

Now where were we.... Grin
Thanks kicking this is just what I needed! I am succeeding well with avoiding all symptoms and signs. I have asked my body to shut up and not contact me till AF is on its way. That's the only sign I am looking for and interested in :)

We did the deed every third day as couldn't make it to every other day.
No OV sticks - no clue when OV was and not fussed about it anymore.

redstrawberry · 23/05/2012 12:45

Just another motivational factor to not symptom spot is that when it does happen for all of us, we will get a lovely surprise rather than trying to symptom spot and guess it beforehand!

Kittenkatzen · 23/05/2012 12:51

happilymarried I think there's just one vital thing missing from your list WinkWink

Happilymarried155 · 23/05/2012 12:59

Ha ha good point!! That too!

I'm due for testing on 16th June, currently cd8 for me. Have my first Accupuncture session tommorow so feeling really good, obviously the wonderful weather helps! :)

bugoven · 23/05/2012 13:12

Hi everyone! This looks very comfy and I brought some summer smoothies.
My plan is mainly including lots of exercise and sunshine and fruit and veg and that one other thing Grin.

NicolaHazel · 23/05/2012 13:46

Hello ladies. :-)

Count me in.

I can officially TTC from Saturday and my plan is the same as most: good diet, exercise, try not to get stressed about work / daily life and just enjoy spending time and DTD with H2B.

KickingUpQuestions · 23/05/2012 13:51

I am also on CD8.

AF should arrive on 14 June so will POAS stick then but that's as much forward planning as possible

I would LOVE smoothies. I ordered a juicer from Amazon so waiting for that to be delivered. Nom nom nom :D

I wonder if pregnancy related searches on google will plummet now?

KickingUpQuestions · 23/05/2012 16:20

And stick purchases...

Liking SS

I am 11dpo and right now I want to be anywhere but inside my mind and body! This is simply torture but not long to go now.

I am occupying myself by stupidly taking on extra work, watching telly and going to bed without checking my knickers or CM or obsessing over any of this.

KickingUpQuestions · 23/05/2012 17:02

Ok let's think practically Grin

How long is your cycle?
Do you think (realistically think) that you implanted? If so, when?
Are you due on Friday?

OP posts:
Kittenkatzen · 23/05/2012 17:28

haha - stick manufacturers will be going out of business, google stocks will plummet, all because of our mini SS-strike!

well i'm on CD19 following having ditched the pill mid-pack, I had a normal-ish withdrawal bleed after stopping, so am now just kicking back and waiting for ERTD to show her face. I may/may not have ov'd last weekend but not having a clue what my cycles are I'm just going to ignore it I think.

Hurrah for virtual Wine but the weather is too nice to be indoors so i shall shortly be trading the virtual stuff for real Wine in an actual pub garden :o

redstrawberry · 23/05/2012 17:33

Hurrah for Wine indeed! I could so do with some of the real stuff, but I can't :(

My cycles are 30 days but checking back to my app last year I had some 32 day ones. But recently they have stuck to 30 days and yes I am due on Friday.

I am not sure about the implantation thing, don't want to get my hopes up, but I think I might have... but at same time it could just be SS and it might not actually happen till 13dpo or god knows when!

All I know for sure is AF is due this Friday and she better not show her ugly face.

bugoven · 23/05/2012 17:45

They don't have to be non-alcoholic!! Smile

lastboxoftampons · 23/05/2012 22:35

Oooh, this sounds like my kind of party!

We're TTC#2 - DS took about 8 months following a MC'd first pregnancy at 11 weeks, so it felt like TTC totally consumed my life for about a year. During that time I went through every range of emotions and finally when I had had nearly every conceivable "symptom" only to have a BFN, I gave up on SS. Now coming to the end of cycle 4 this time around and have already come full circle - first month "very zen, just having sex", by second month I was temping, third month OPK's, etc.... I tend to spot a lot, so I know full well ahead of time when I'm not PG (didn't have any spotting in either of my pregnancies). 8dpo here and had a bit of spotting earlier this morning, so just waiting for the ERTD to show. Stupidly let myself get a little excited this month, but have just vowed to not read into anything. I should know better. I DO know better.

So this month, it's just me, DH and the CBFM (hey, a girl's gotta have SOME way of knowing where/when to focus her efforts - besides it drives me batty if I don't know when I ov'd and I SS even more!)

So, can I join you? :) I've brought some Wine

KickingUpQuestions · 23/05/2012 23:09

red

There is a 85% odd chance that you test positive the day before AF is due.

So test tomorrow and you will know greatest likelihood.

KFFOREVER · 23/05/2012 23:14

Im joining too. This symptom spotting and peeing on the sticks are no good for my sanity and im driving OH mad too. lol.
