I had a nice night out. It was my mum's 60th and we took her to see The Mousetrap and then for dinner at the Savoy. She felt properly spoiled and had a whole night off from being a miserable cah about their house purchase falling through. So that was all good.

Did I ever tell you I learned ballroom and latin from the age of 5 till the age of 16, and that I have a cupboard full of trophies at my folks house? Mebbe that's why that dress appeals so much- it's the kind of thing the people who did comps used to wear back then. I have fond memories of sequin hunting at the Tower Ballroom in Brum when I was little.
