I haven’t seen one of these thread yet this year and with lots of “help need ideas for…” type posts thought might be useful, plus I’m nosy and love hearing what everyone has bought their DC

(misers, moaners and the “DC should only gets a resource book, pair of socks and a satsuma” brigade need not comment.)

Three teenage girls 14, 17 & 18 was in my element shopping for them this year if I’m honest.

That’s wild! An iPhone is not a table present.
I can’t imagine what you’ve spent?

Well it is as I have ordered them and they are going to be wrapped and given at the table.

Voila…a table present.

Sounds like a lovely xmas day for them hope you all have a fantastic day .

My boys are much older now 20 and 21 both working so get what they want when they want it but have got them both lovely presents that they have asked for plus a load of surprises and a huge chocolate & sweets snack bag . And we are booked for a lovely xmas dinner so no cooking can all just relax and chill ( when I finish work)

OP you can get snarky but those lists are insane. I can't imagine ever giving my kids so much stuff in one go. You must be able to see that your post is quite insensitive. There are thousands of posters on Mumsnet struggling to find the cash for one main present. There was really no need to share those lists.

You are asking to be judged. This is a braggy stealth post and nothing more. Your present list is ridiculous.

Crushed23 · 18/12/2025 07:07

I got a record player and vinyls for my birthday this year from DP, having expressed no interest in a record player beforehand, and I have to say I surprisingly LOVE it. Music sounds so much better.

I hope your daughter enjoys hers!

This is a public forum @Grumpycowww
(love the user name btw!) it has members from all over the world and of many varying cultures and demographics posting about all kind of life experiences, privileges, lifestyles and choices. There is a shopping/style section, class debates, the jump of going from 2-3 children private V Grammar school debate and often a “how much do you pay your cleaner” thread.

If I want to post what I have got my own 3 wonderful, hard working DC with my own cash I am absolutely free to do so.

Just so materialistic. Think about the environment!
Very insensitive to those struggling to provide minimum in these difficult times.

Ahh @Crushed23 thank you. She has asked for it for the last 3 years but I have never given in as her room was never tidy enough for me to feel she would take cake of the vinyl, however she has made a real effort the last 8 months to keep everything clean and tidy so I’m really excited to surprise her with it on Christmas morning!
