I am very fussy about wrapping paper and the only one I found I liked this year is out of stock, it was a double sided Dunelm one

I haven't found another I even remotely like. I love wrapping and using ribbon to make it all look amazing.

I haven't really searched yet but in the two shops I've looked (b and m and Sainsbury's) I couldn't find any that I liked. Really boring and unappealing in both !

okydokethen · 02/12/2024 13:20

I've got this and it's lovely thick quality paper

Isitfridayyetsophie · 02/12/2024 13:24

I used to be fussy, this year most of the presents under my tree will be wrapped in Spiderman wrapping paper. 🙃

adult presents will be in plain brown wrapping paper, I then use my stamps to decorate them. Waterstones had some pretty and smart looking wrapping paper in store at the weekend if anyone’s still hunting for some nice stuff.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 02/12/2024 13:25

I just bought some I picked up in card factory. Didn’t know there was a decision over it 🥴

123feraverto · 02/12/2024 13:33

Always used to get mine from paper chase , finished that supply now
Need to find something else

That reversible paper is lovely and such a good idea

I did get some animal themed from the British garden centre

boulevardofbrokendreamss · 02/12/2024 13:35

I always use brown parcel paper and the kids potato print it. Well they're teens now but still like doing it

StandingSideBySide · 02/12/2024 13:38

Whatever’s stored in the roof from other years so I have no idea.
Agree with boulevards brown paper we used to do this when our boys were little and I still get that itch every year and do a few.

Mossstitch · 02/12/2024 13:49

That is lovely, I got some very similar but only one sided in sainsburys a couple of years back under the Habitat label. Might be worth a look.

Binfire · 02/12/2024 13:51

I found some lovely wrapping paper by Cambridge Imprints at the local garden centre which is gorgeous but bloody expensive!

I haven’t looked elsewhere but will probably wrap the children’s gifts in something cheaper and save the nicer stuff for friends and family.

OP I clicked your link and added to basket and it seems to add it, is it back in stock? It seems to be click and collect only though, no delivery.

BatshitCrazyWoman · 02/12/2024 14:21

I bought this paper from Ocado/Waitrose. I already have some left over from last year, so I didn't really need to buy any 😬

BatshitCrazyWoman · 02/12/2024 14:22

Pic!!!

What wrapping paper have you gone for?
StripyShirt · 02/12/2024 16:46

I use newspaper.

Something big like the Observer or saturday Times is good, as there are plenty of topical photos just begging for witty captions.

Also very good from a recycling perspective 🙂

rzb · 02/12/2024 16:51

I have been acquiring reusable bags and also attempting to make a passable attempt using cloth / furoshiki. I hate the piles of waste we used to have on xmas day, and it's pretty easy to store these wraps and bags - they fold down to whatever shape works best for storage, unless leftover rolls of paper gift wrap.

But, I do like brown paper and colourful ribbons.

MrsMontyD · 02/12/2024 16:58

Some very disappointing paper, labelled as luxury in Boots. One roll is Kraft paper so that's ok the rest is far from luxurious.

booisbooming · 02/12/2024 16:58

Has anyone seen any plastic-free (ideally Kraft / brown paper style) Leopard print? Nothing too cartoony, just a realistic "classic Leopard" for a kid who really loves leopards...

EveryOtherNameTaken · 02/12/2024 17:42

A bit off the thread, but did anybody buy that glittery reindeer one from Tesco a few years ago that was basically a glitter bomb equivalent?

It had so much glitter you could hardly tape presents up and I had glitter for months afterwards everywhere!

Recycling companies were fuming as everyone tried to put it with paper/card Recycling which rendered everything else in the bins not recyclable.

It was very pretty though ...

OrlandointheWilderness · 02/12/2024 17:49

I've got M&S stuff, but I do love the paper from a small company called bright stem. It's really thick and gorgeous patterns. Here -

I got this string lights paper from Flying Tiger. Just in time it seems, as it’s now sold out!

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 02/12/2024 13:25

I just bought some I picked up in card factory. Didn’t know there was a decision over it 🥴

Surely you made a decision when you chose which one to buy in card factory ? Or did they only have one type ?

TotallyTwisted · 02/12/2024 18:36

It's the 2nd of December, I haven't even started thinking about wrapping paper. That is way down the list!

JollyJolene · 02/12/2024 18:39

We got a selection from Sostrene Grene, including this one:
